She Was Tamed

Chapter 56 – The Bridal Shower

After a week, all the necessary preparations for Jada and Lyken's wedding were completed. The church, venue for the reception, gowns for the bride and entourage, and the wedding theme were all set. Lyken and Kobe were done with all their projects as well. Kobe has also signed Lyken's leave of absence for his upcoming wedding.

"Baby, your bridal shower's tonight, right?" Lyken asked. He was lying on the couch with a pillow propped under his head.

Jada sat next to him, handing him a glass of mango juice, "Yep! But the pinks are way more excited for that," she chuckled.

He just nodded and smiled as he pulled himself up. "Don't look too much, okay?" he reminded. Jada and Lyken were informed that the pinks hired a stripper for the event.

"Of course... unless something is interesting to look at," she grinned.

Lyken glared at her, scrunched his nose, he cleared his throat as if sending a warning. As she got the signal, Jada showed him a peace sign to calm him down before snuggling next to him. "Hmph!" he snapped, but he still pulled her close. Jada can't help but chuckle. He's starting to get jealous again.

They spent a few more minutes cuddling until they both fell asleep. When they woke up, it was already past five in the afternoon.

Jada and Lyken were both surprised when they saw their friends. "Finally, you guys are up!" Ada laughed.

"I thought we'll have to postpone the party," Bambi smirked as he pushed Jada up.

Rubbing his eyes, Lyken pushed himself from the couch to sit straight. "When did you get here?" he asked no one in specific.

"We've been here for two hours, man!" Robin exclaimed. "Steve's been trying to wake you up, but you seem to be enjoying each other's comfort that you didn't even budge!" he added. Looking at Lyken, Jada can't help but laugh. He overslept because he was exhausted from their out-of-town projects.

Jada overslept because she was exhausted from all the preparations for the wedding. Aside from that, she's been feeling very sleepy these past few days.

"Byotch! It's about time you get ready for your bridal shower~" Bambi told her, and as he did, Jada noticed him glancing at Lyken. She turned to look at her fiancé, but he averted his eyes.

Something's up, but she can't figure out what it is. First, it was Robin, Steve, and the pinks. Now, it's Lyken.

Jada let Bambi pull her up then she went straight to her room. Opening her closet, she checked what she could wear for her party. When she had chosen her outfits, they placed them on the bed. Grabbing her towel, Jada went to the bathroom to take a shower. She had already bathed that morning as she was feeling hot when she woke up. So now, she'll just take a shower. When she returned to her room, Lyken was already seated on the bed. He was fiddling with the clothes Jada prepared earlier. "Is this what you're wearing tonight?"

Jada nodded at him as she took the bottle of lotion from her dresser. Sitting next to him on the bed, she placed a foot above the chair to apply lotion.

"Baby, can you switch to another top?" he asked out of nowhere.

She glanced sideways, creasing her forehead at him. "Are you serious?"

"Yes, baby! Haltered is too sexy, and it will show your cleavage," he stated in a firm tone.

"Go pick a top for me then," she asked, and he gladly stood up, opening her closet.

It took him forever to pick one. Jada already had her jeans on and was busy applying makeup when he called her to show what he got.

"Will this do?"

"Baby, are you being serious?" she exclaimed. Jada was in disbelief when he showed her a long sleeve turtle neck.

He looked at the top he had in hand and back to her. "What? It looks... decent!"

Jada rolled her eyes. She stepped into her closet and rummaged thru her tops. She pulled on a midriff long-sleeve blouse, it was turtle neck too and put it on without asking him. Placing his hands on her shoulders, he forced her to take a look at him. "Hmm... I think that will do!" He smirked before he turned around to exit her bedroom.

She shook her head, still in disbelief that she couldn't even enjoy her last party as a bachelorette. 'He's so strict!' She whispered to herself.

"Byotch, you ready?" Bambi asked as he poked his head into her room.

Jada nodded at him, and he walked over to her bed. He noticed the faint frown on her friend's face. "Anything wrong?" He asked. She shook her head at him, but he was unconvinced. "Spill!" he ordered. She let out a sigh as she sat on the bed. "No idea, to be honest! I just suddenly feel dispirited," she confessed and smiled lazily.

"Maybe that's a pre-wedding jitter," Jada just shrugged at him and stood up. Tapping his shoulder, she nodded towards the door, and he quickly followed.

"Let's go?" Honey asked as soon as she stepped out.

Jada nodded at Honey. Then she walked over to Lyken to kiss his cheek, then she turned around toward the door. He will be staying in her unit with the rest of the boys.

She heard him mumble something, but she didn't bother asking. Her mood has already turned sour, and facing him will only worsen it.

When they reached the parking lot, she went straight to her car. All four of them will take Jada's car, but Bambi's driving.

Jenny texted them earlier to inform them that she was already at the venue with Lowela. They also invited KC and some girls who they've modeled with in the past. While sitting quietly inside the car, Ada's phone rang. He glanced at Honey from the rearview mirror and then at Bambi as he answered it.

He was whispering something to the caller. Jada tried to listen in, but she couldn't understand any of the words he was saying.

After twenty or so minutes, they arrived at the venue. Honey covered her eyes then the pinks helped her get inside.

It was eerily quiet when they got in. Jada felt the urge to get the cover off her eyes, but she didn't want to spoil her friends' surprise. They worked hard for this.

While seated on the couch, she can sense movements around her. A few more minutes after, they took off her blindfold.

Music started playing with the strobe lights hitting them from all corners of the lounge. A waiter then came to serve their drinks.

"You guys ready for the show?" Bambi asked from the microphone. The girls squealed, waving their hands at him in excitement. "Sit back, relax and enjoy."

Two men wearing nothing but crocodile pouches emerged from left and right. They started dancing as they moved closer to Jada.

Pulling her up from the couch, they placed one hand on each of her shoulders and started rolling their bodies. She could feel their sticks touching her jeans, but it didn't even excite her.

Crossing her arms over her chest, both men left Jada and danced around, causing the rest of the girls to start screaming. On her way back to the couch, Bambi holds his hand up. He's asking her to stay where she is, so she does. Seconds after, another stripper showed up, wearing boxer briefs.

The stripper has a mask covering his face, but his shining, shimmering abs are exposed. Jada couldn't take her eyes off them. She can see him grinning as he approaches her.

Placing both hands over her chest, the man started moving his hand down to her waist, running it over her breast and letting it linger for a few seconds. Then he pulled her closer. Lifting his mask halfway, he stuck out his tongue and moved it across her lips. The sensation was so familiar that her body refused to deny it.

"Lyken?"
