She Returns as A Billionairess by Fiona Jaramillo

Chapter 116

Chapter 116 What Do You Mean?
Kaylah was not willing to see Hendry. As long as she saw him, she would think of her stupid marriage and she would become
unhappy. So Kaylah wanted him to leave quickly and then she could go back to sleep.
Hendry came back to his senses, took out a document, and handed it to Kaylah.
After taking it and looking at it, Kaylah found that it was a list of gifts with items and times marked on it.
At first, Kaylah did not care, but when she saw that the time marked on it was their anniversary, she became more and more
serious.
“What do you mean?” Kaylah frowned.
“These should be the gifts I have given you all these years.”
Kaylah raised her eyebrows. If she remembered correctly, she had never received these gifts and she seemed to have seen a
few in Alondra’s and Cecilia’s places.
They always liked to show off in front of her, but they didn’t know that Kaylah didn’t.
care at all.
Since in the past, she received many expensive gifts, she didn’t care about these gifts at
all.
“Every anniversary, I will ask Chad to prepare a gift for you and place it in the cloakroom, but you never seem to have noticed it.
“And these gifts were all taken by Cecilia.”
A trace of surprise flashed through Kaylah’s eyes because she did not expect that Hendry had prepared these for her.
However, on second thought, she felt that it didn’t matter because these were not personally prepared by Hendry. She thought
he had only done this for the sake of etiquette without any sincerity at all.
Otherwise, he would not have discovered that these gifts had been taken away by Cecilia

until now.
“So?” Kaylah looked at the list and smiled. “What do you want to prove by showing me
this?”
“I sent you a message before. I want to talk to you about this. I want to tell you that I will prepare similar gifts for you. I hope you
can forgive Cecilia for her mistake.”
“No need.”
Kaylah interrupted Hendry with a look of indifference.
Hendry frowned. “These gifts are not cheap. They should belong to you.”
“Since I didn’t discover them, it means that they don’t belong to me.
“Besides, Mr. Lowery, do you want to bribe me with this?
“I don’t care. I don’t want to be falsely accused again. I don’t want others to misunderstand that I stole things from your family.
Then I’ll be the victim.”
Kaylah’s words were with sarcasm, which made Hendry feel very depressed.
“No, I promise that this will never happen again.”
“Forget it. I don’t trust you, Mr. Lowery,” Kaylah put on a fake smile.
These were all painful lessons she had learned.
Hendry’s promise was useless. As long as Alondra or Cecilia said bad things about her in front of him, Hendry would believe
them.
Kaylah couldn’t remember clearly how many times she had been forced to apologize to
Alondra.
Hendry felt heartbroken. Although Kaylah said this with a smile, he still felt that Kaylah

had once suffered a lot.
“Kaylah, I admit that I was wrong about what happened before. I was in the wrong to
ignore you and not believe you, but I was...”
“What? You were deceived or what?”
Kaylah sneered, “Forget it. Mr. Lowery, you’re such a shrewd person in the business world. How come you’re fooled by a woman
like Alondra? Anyway, you just don’t trust me and don’t care about me.
“Since that’s the case, then there’s nothing to say.
“There’s no need to let me see this. Not only is it unable to save anything, it instead makes me feel disgusted for no reason.”
This made her recognize Cecilia’s greed and Alondra’s shame even more.
Besides, she knew more about Hendry’s indifference, as well as her previous incompetence and ignorance.
