Panting, Aryan returned with the key. To his surprise, Kaylah’s door had been opened.
Aryan suspected that Zion played a trick on him deliberately.
Kaylah leaned crouched in the quilt with her hair messy and her cheeks red.
Andy reached out to touch Kaylah’s forehead with a serious face. “You seem to have a fever.”
Zion checked Kaylah’s temperature with a thermometer. The latter indeed got a fever.
Zion ordered Roger to call the doctor and then tucked Kaylah in. Although he put on a sullen look, he did it gently.
“Have a good rest. I will cook some food for you. The doctor will probably give you an injection. It’s
better for you to eat something in advance.”
Kaylah said weakly, “Thank you.”
Zion felt bitter for Kaylah and stroked her head. Kaylah’s complaint of him rumpling her hair
occurred to him suddenly. He retracted his hand in embarrassment.
“It’s all my fault. I didn’t take good care of you and made you sick.”
“Don’t blame yourself. It’s not your problem.” Kaylah shook her head.
Zion did not say anything else. He asked Andy to take care of Kaylah and he went to the kitchen.
Once Kaylah fell sick, she would be a fussy eater. Only the food Zion personally cooked would
trigger her desire to eat more.
Andy stood by the bed and watched Zion leave. She was lost in thought.
Andy had an elder sister. Although she and her elder sister had a good relationship, her elder sister

rarely took the time to care for her.
As for her younger brother, he was mischievous. Andy kept troubling him, not to mention getting
concerns from him.
She listened to the conversation between Zion and Kaylah and had to admit that Kaylah lived a happy life.
Andy couldn’t help being envious of Kaylah, who had a gentle elder brother to dote on her.
“How is it? Zion is handsome, isn’t he?”
Kaylah smirked and stared at Andy with her watery eyes. She looked cute as well as cunning.
“Zion is a nice person. Do you want to be his girlfriend?”

Andy’s face instantly blushed. She raised her hand and hit Kaylah playfully.
“What nonsense are you talking about? Don’t tease me.”
Aryan heard their conversation and couldn’t help but turn to look at Roger. “Is this reason why Zion glared at me?”
Roger was speechless.
Soon, the doctor arrived and gave Kaylah a detailed examination. After confirming that Kaylah was not seriously ill, all those
present were relieved.
The doctor explained the dos and don’ts clearly before leaving. Zion and Aryan bore them in their minds carefully.
Kaylah recollected what had happened downstairs.
She asked, “The Lowery Group...”
Zion put on a gloomy face at the mention of this, “It has been settled. Since you have divorced, don’t contact Hendry anymore.
You are my younger sister, you deserve a better man.”

Kaylah didn’t know how to reply.
She did not intend to contact Hendry.
However, she knew Hendry well. She didn’t think Hendry would do this kind of thing. He must have been deceived by others.
Kaylah wondered who had given him such a bad idea. Alondra or Rayan?
Kaylah sank in thought for a while and then put on a self–mocking smile.
She and Hendry had divorced. She’d better put Hendry behind. He suffered from his actions. He deserved to be tricked.
Aryan observed Kaylah’s expression closely. As she did not feel sad because of Hendry, Aryan let out a sigh of relief.
Aryan felt glad that Kaylah seemed to have truly given Hendry up. He made up his mind to confess his feelings to Kaylah tonight
and wished it could be successful.
Aryan secretly cheered himself up and said to Zion and the others, “You guys can go and entertain the other guests. I will stay
here.”
Zion had something important to do, so he agreed and took Andy with him.
In the bedroom, only Kaylah and Aryan were left.
Only then did Kaylah realize that Aryan had specially dressed up today.
