Shattered Illusions: Love Lies and Redemption ( Lizetta ) Chapter 356

Chapter 356

Crystal’s expression was serious yet composed.

“The dance drama is set to debut next month, Originally, I never thought to cast an actual pregnant woman for the role of the expectant mother, but your dancing was so compelling, I couldn’t resist. However, are you sure your health can withstand it?”

This was Crystal’s sole concem now.

Lizetta nodded, her confidence unshaken. “Belly dancer Jennifer from Aurorica danced on stage, radiant and eight months pregnant. My baby’s been very cooperative, and I feel like they’re cheering me on too. Don’t worry, I’ve got this”

When Lizetta showed her determination, Crystal’s face lit up with a smile. She took a step forward, extending her hand toward Lizetta.

“In that case, Lizetta, welcome to the Black Swan Dance Troupe.”

Lizetta’s eyes sparkled as she and Crystal shook hands, her gaze as bright as if she had been touched by the light of the Starlight Group

itself.

After shaking hands with Crystal, Lizetta tumed to Jerome, expressing her gratitude with earnest sincerity

“Mr. Madden, thank you”

Her hair was slightly tousled from dancing, a healthy flush on her cheeks, radiating vitality.

She resembled the resilient expectant mother she portrayed in her dance, a stark contrast to the first time Jerome had seen her.

Jerome’s deep gaze met hers, offering a subtle nod in acknowledgment.

When Remington burst through the concert hall doors, what he saw was this very scene.

Lizetta stood at the edge of the stage, Jerome’s tall figure below, their eyes locked in a moment of understanding.

Lizetta’s smile was bright, with her sidekick Hamilton, an adorable young boy, eagerly watching her.

Remington couldn’t hide the chill that surrounded him as he strode towards the stage.

‘1 don’t agree!”

His voice, cold and firm, echoed as he reached the front of the stage, stretching out his arm

Before Lizetta could react, Remington had scooped her off the stage and into his arms, enveloping her in his familiar scent, tinged with his barely concealed displeasure.

Lizetta’s smile faded as she pushed against Remington’s chest, frowning.

“What are you doing here?”

Looking down at her, Remington noticed the absence of any joy at his arrival. Instead, she was all resistance and rejection.

Moments ago,

, she had been all smiles for another man, yet now she was as cold as ice towards him.

A flicker of jealousy darkened Remington’s eyes, his grip tightening around her waist, pulling her closer.

“Liz, come on”

His tone was playful, yet his gaze and posture spoke volumes of his domineering nature.

Turning to Jerome, he managed a brief nod.

“Mr. Madden, I wasn’t aware you had come to Zion City. As hosts, my wife and I would like to invite you over for dinner at our place. We have some matters to attend to at home today, so I’ll be taking my wife with me now.”

With a curt nod to Jerome, Remington turned, firmly taking Lizetta with him.

Lizetta was fuming. It was her life, her decision, her hard–won opportunity.

How dare Remington dismiss it all with a single disagreement, making decisions on her behalf!

She wanted to struggle, to argue, but against his strength, she was powerless, forced to turn with him,

And to add insult to injury, he even went to far as to cover her mouth as they turned to leave.

Panic and frustration caused Lizetta to sweat, her reyes stinging with tears, feeling utterly hopeless until a figure stepped in front of Remington.

“Mr. Dashiell, making decisions on behalf of Mrs. Dashiell without her consent seems rather inappropriate, doesn’t it?”
