Shattered Illusions: Love Lies and Redemption ( Lizetta ) Chapter 342

Chapter 342

Because it was just too heartbreaking.

“Ouch, please, help, save my baby.”

Lizetta’s vision blurred as she grappled with the pain, unsure of what was happening to her

The sharp agony in her abdomen intensified, draining her of the strength to even stand

All she could do was clutch desperately at the stranger before her, hoping for a sliver of kindness, a chance to save her child.

Jerome’s gaze fell on Lizetta’s hands, pressed firmly against her belly, his brows furrowing as he bent down

“Take deep breaths, I’m taking you to the hospital”

Lizetta was lifted into his arms, the deep, commanding tone of the stranger echoing in her ears.

It was a voice accustomed to being obeyed, reminiscent of someone she knew Remington, perhaps?

Instinctively, Lizetta followed his direction, breathing deeply as Jerome carried her to the back seat of the car, opening the door to let her in.

Hamilton, seeing Jerome with a woman in his arms, shuffled to make room.

“Is she hurt? What happened?”

He asked, as Jerome gently placed Lizetta down, instructing him.

“She’s having complications with the pregnancy, take care of her.”

With that, Jerome shut the door and moved to the driver’s seat.

Hamilton was flustered. “What? A pregnant woman? Jerome, you should drive. I can’t handle this. I was saving my first aid skills for my dream girl.

His protests were cut short as Lizetta, who had been silent, leaned back, revealing her pale face.

“Your dream gin?”

Hamilton was speechless, his eyes wide with disbelief and confusion.

“Miss, how did this happen? I mean, no offense.”

Hamilton was at a loss for words.

He didn’t know whether to ask Lizetta what had happened, where she felt pain, or if the father was the man from the amusement park they visited last time.

Or perhaps, he should take a moment to mourn the premature end of his own unstarted love story.

Lizetta still pain, was too worried about her baby to respond to Hamilton.”

In desperation, Hamilton nudged Jerome. “Dude, what do we do? She looks in so much pain!”

“Just keep her doing deep breaths and wipe her sweat”

“Drive faster!

Hamilton urged, grabbing a tissue to dab at Lizetta’s forehead, trying to comfort her.

“Miss, just relax. Breathe in with me, and out.”

They arrived at the hospital quickly, and Lizetta was rushed into the emergency room.

Outside, Hamilton paced back and forth anxiously.

Jerome, observing his worried demeanor, raised an eyebrow and asked, “Is she the girl you were talking about? The one you wanted to bring home?”

Hamilton had bragged about a girl he liked at a family dinner not long ago, hinting he might bring her home next time.

From the looks of it, this was the girl.

Hamilton nodded, disheartened.

Jerome clapped him on the shoulder. “Look at you, becoming a dad at twenty?”

“What are you talking about? it’s not my kid!”

Jerome’s expression softened at his protest, then teased, “Even better, you’re ready to play daddy at twenty.”

Hamilton was speechless.

Just then, the doctor came out, asking, Who’s the husband of the pregnant lady?”

His eyes scanned the two men, setting on Jerme, the older and seemingly more responsible.

Before Jerome could spend, he pushed Hamilton forward.

The doctor immediately directed Hamilton, “Come with me”

Hamilton, shoving a small purse into Jerome’s hands, followed the doctor into the emergency room.

As he left the purse began to ring incessantly.

Jerome, with no choice, opened it and took out the phone.

Ah, the stand–in husband had just gone in, and now the real husband called
