Sextuplets From Ruthless Love

Chapter 78

She left her room and went to the indoor party. Thereafter, she found a desolate area to drink alcohol alone.

There were many people dancing energetically on the dance floor. Many pretty ladies with long legs and large breasts danced vigorously. Jessica narrowed her eyes and let out a long sigh.

"I'll probably stay on this island tonight. Or perhaps not. There are so many people and limited rooms on the island. If I can't stay here, I hope that I can leave. After all, whenever I see Trevor, I see my pathetic past. I relive the humiliation I had suffered that can never be washed away," she thought.

Each insult and cold glance that he had given her in the past appeared in her mind again.

"Jessica, tell us honestly. What's your relationship with our boss?" Pamela brought a few colleagues over and asked in a gossipy tone.

"What relationship? There's nothing between us."

Jessica found it ridiculous. She was not at all worried

as she felt that they would never find out about the things that had happened in the past.

After all, the employees would never know about the happenings in the upper echelons of society. Those things that could reach their ears were already old stories.

"Nothing between you? How can that be? I don't believe it. Who will experience the same things as you? You just entered the company, but our boss cares so much about you. Tell us honestly, Jessica. What relationship do you have with the boss? You can't possibly be his relative, can you?"

"I'm his wife's classmate. Does that count?"

Jessica could not help but find a random excuse. If she did not say anything, those people would not let her go away so easily.

"Goodness. You're Mr. Gulliford's wife's classmate? No wonder. Then, Jessica, how does his wife look like?"

"Yes! Hurry and tell us. What kind of woman will captivate him like this? Is she very beautiful?" "She must be an exceptionally charismatic lady."

Her female colleagues speculated ceaselessly. They wanted to find out what kind of wife their devil-like boss had found. "She..."

Jessica sighed deeply at that.

"What can I say? It's difficult for me to answer this question," she thought.

"I'm sorry. We're just classmates and not on particularly close terms with each other."

Jessica was unable to say that she was the best socialite in Horington. Her colleague bombarded her with questions, and they poured forth like a tsunami. She was unable to escape it and could only drown.

She struggled and tried to break free, but the gossiping colleagues in front of her questioned her even more.

"It can't be. You're classmates, but you're not well-acquainted with her?"

Pamela did not believe it.

"I'm not familiar with her. I'm sorry."

Jessica stood up and bowed to them as she apologized. She ran away like she had gone crazy.

She left behind a crowd of confused people.

"Jessica, where are you going? It's all right if you're not familiar with her!"

Pamela yelled after Jessica. She could not understand why Jessica had run away.

Jessica fled out of the room and inhaled huge gulps of air. She ran to the coconut tree at the shore and stared at the waves with a serious expression on her face.

"I'm not Jessica, I'm not Jessica, I'm not her!"

She silently repeated the words in her heart as she assured herself that Jessica was already dead.

Jessica had died on the battlefield once, and yet again in a car accident.

Now, she was just another woman whom Alfred had performed surgery on the operation table.

"Are you all right?"

A gentle voice called out beside her. Jessica turned her head abruptly and met eyes with that person. She stumbled and fell onto the beach. "Why is he here?" she thought.

"Is anything the matter, Mr. Gulliford?"

Trevor stared at her with adoration that was difficult to hide. His long fingers reached toward her, but when he saw that she instinctively flinched away from him, he retracted his hand swiftly.
