Seeking Within: Now

The challenge before him

burns bright

then dims again

It's hard to find the words to place

in this space here within:

It’s my dream to create

For all to adulate

But it’s hard to accept

the part of me that’s inept

Instead just reflect

on the part of you that's great

In this light a star is born

On this night a child was torn

from his father who’s heart was scorn

by a mother, the child then four

was gone forever, his star no more

But the light that we keep

moves us forward throughout the weeks

For it's healing that we seek

within our own story,

we write and release

Without the glory

the pain runs deep

Written in allegory

but who am I to speak

I write in auditory, but

you can’t hear the tears I weep

I suffered in purgatory

and wanted to die in my sleep

So what am I saying

what is this about

that’s for me to know

and for you to figure out

I’m just here to occupy

your time in space so please comply

by reading along and sharing this space

of a painful past that I can’t erase

I share it with you with hopes to confide

to ease my pain with you by my side

I’ll show you that although it’s not fair

life is worth living no matter who is not there

The pain drifts on but is never gone

You learn to stay strong and to always carry on

cuz tomorrow brings a brand new dawn

and the chance to show that you indeed belong

With the chance to become much more aware

that love is the answer when you reach out and share

Keep love in your heart

through life’s ups and downs

its much harder than it looks

and much harder than it sounds

but I promise you this

you can take it from me

Your life is your journey

through this sea of negativity

It’s up to you to bring the light

and to go within

Which brings us back to the challenge before him

to write a story where we both can win

Cuz with all the absurd

all you have is your word

to create and bend,

your story is worth living

when you become your best friend

So grow and ascend

to a place of giving

Life is funny in the way that it mend,

living is winning and fulfilling my friend

and it all works out, works out in the end

My son now grown

has already shown

a connection, you see

For I have already won

creating My Maximus Factum, in he

And now I'm free

to simply be

me
