Chapter 16
Chapter
16
Lexi gulp down the third glass as she watches them dance like real couples and she felt jealous, she wanted to smash the bottle against the wall, but she couldn't because of the crowds in the room. "Why are you even jealous, you are his stepsister for Christ's sake, not his girlfriend," she scolded herself.
Deciding to enjoy herself to the brim and stop sulking around, she drops the glass and scans the crowd. Her eyes found the guys who approached her the moment they walked in, and she smiled when a dangerous idea formed in her head.
She knew she was playing with fire but she didn't care, wanting to spook him the same way he did to her. Lexi found her way to the guy, she made sure she brushed her shoulder against Aziz's back on her way to the end of the bar. She stopped in front of the strange guy and leaned closer to him, the feeling of someone watching her washed over her and from the corner of her eyes she could see him frown because of her closeness to the guy.
"Is the dance you asked for still valid?" She bit her lip seductively so Aziz could see, knowing he was watching her.
"Of course," he stretches his hand to her and took her small hand in his as he led her to the dance floor.
"I want the middle floor," she told him, and with a nod, he led her to the midst of the dancing bodies.
They were just a meter away from Aziz, and Cora, but she felt her skin bubbling as if she is close to a furnace. She looked up when Mr stranger turn her around and her gaze clashed with Aziz's fiery own. Lexi smiled, she leaned even closer to Mr stranger and placed her head on his shoulder before winking at Aziz.
"What your name," Mr stranger asked and she bit her lip.
She wanted to lie about her name but then she remembered the party was for her so he would find out the truth,
"Lexi," she said briskly.
"Such a beautiful name for an angel like you," she blushed at his word and Aziz narrowed his gaze at her.
"I am Lamar," he introduced himself but she couldn't care. "Correct me if I am wrong but I know something is going on between you and my cousin." "Your cousin?" Lexi wanted to laugh but she stopped herself.
This guy is crazy...
"I haven't introduced myself properly," he stepped away from her with only their hands touching and spun her around before pulling her to his chest.
"I am Aziz's cousin; my father is his father's younger brother."
Her eyes widened and she tried to get away from him but his grip tightened, she looked down at her shoe, her cheek turning red.
"You don't have to feel guilty; I have done this so many times and when I saw you down those glasses of wine in one gulp, I knew something was wrong.
"You confirmed my suspicion when you look around and smiled when your gaze fell on me, I got the full gist when you brush past Aziz on your way to me, and the way you leaned closer to me gave you out." "I am so sorry," she muttered.
""Don't be."
"Huh?"
"Aziz can be a jerk sometimes, I won't be surprised if a lot of girls come in here and start laying their claim on him, but..."
She looked at him and he step back to spin her around again.
"But what?"
"He isn't the one you should be concerned about."
"Then who should I be concerned about?"
"Cora."
She scoffed. "Why should I be concerned about her?"
"Cora is a world-class bitch; she can go to any length just to have what she wants and this time what she wants happens to be your man."
"He is not my man," she corrected.
"We will see, but right now, let's help you get to him."
With that, his hand slid from her back and rested above her ass cheek, she risks a glance at Aziz, and she was surprised to see his shoulder tense. He looked conflicted like he wanted to march over her and haul her away from Lamar, but he didn't want to make the party awkward.
She smiled when she notices he wasn't paying any attention to the woman in his arm.
"I told ya," Lamar's voice pulls her away from the stare, and she blushed.
"I need you to follow my lead if you want him to step away from her and come to you," she nods her head at his word.
One hand found its way to her back and he pushed her even closer. "Wrap your hand around my shoulders."
She did exactly that, and she smile when Aziz's hand loosen around Cora's back.
"It is working," she almost squealed on Lamar's shoulder.
"Someone is excited."
"I'm sorry for what I am about to do but it is necessary," without waiting for a response from her, his hand moved even lower, and he grabbed her ass.
He presses his lip to the point
between her neck and her shoulder and she threw back her head unconsciously. Aziz couldn't take it anymore, that was supposed to be him, he is the only one who should have access to every part of her
body.
He pulled Cora's hand away from his shoulder and dropped it beside her, without offering her any explanation or apology, he left her standing there and walked towards Lexi. "Your boyfriend is on his way here and he looks like he could murder someone."
"I guess that someone is you; plus... he isn't my boyfriend."
"Keep lying to yourselves."
Her next word died on her lip as she was suddenly yanked against hard muscles.
"You don't mind me dancing with her right," it wasn't a question, and he knew it, it was a clear warning.
"I don't," Lamar smirked and turn to grab her hand.
"Till we meet again my lovely seductress," he let his lip linger on her arm and she felt his smile on it, the same time Aziz tightened his arm around her.
He left after that, and she is left to face the angry man in front of her. Pulling her closer to his chest, he looks down at her and scowled.
"What do you think you are doing?" His warm breath hit her face and she inhales hard.
"I don't understand your question," Lexi forced herself not to laugh at his serious expression. "As you can see, I was dancing with Lamar before you barge in.
His expression hardened. "Lamar? You addressed him by his name?"
"Should I have addressed him as a stranger when he is part of the family?"
Aziz closed his eyes for a brief second before pulling them apart. "Why did you let him touch you?"
"Is something wrong with that? I believe I have the right to decide who touches me or not just the same way you do."
"Lexi!" He snapped, barely able to hold himself in check.
His gaze softens when he notices she is trying to pull away from him.
"I'm sorry," he mumbled. "I just don't like seeing you with other men, it makes me want to kill them for touching what is mine."
"Yours?" Lexi frown. "I don't recall ever agreeing to be your woman."
He pulls her closer even though there was no space between them and presses himself against her stomach.
"Do you feel that?" He looked down at her and she felt her body burn in anticipation. "That is what you do to me."
"No one else... just you, only you."
She gasps when he leans down to bite her ear, without knowing what she is doing, she pressed her body against him and parts her lip slightly. Her core aches to have him her

She stared at him in confusion, he looked down and she followed his gaze only to find her hand on his shirt. The first two buttons had been undone.
As if she had been burned, she pulls away from him and ran out of the room with the speed of lightning.
"Lexi," Aziz called after her, he caught up with her just when she made to open the entrance door. He pulls her into the hallway and pressed his body to hers. "Where do you think you are going?" She swallowed hard as he presses his warm lip to her neck.
Lamar did the same thing just a while ago and she felt nothing, but now...
Now, her stomach felt like a stadium and butterflies won't stop having a match in it His tongue dart out to lick that sensitive spot and a moan bubbled its way out of her, only for him to swallow it as he claims her lip in a passionate kiss.
