Chapter 679
I originally wanted Colin to wear a suit, but he said it was only a gathering. The participants were all his students. Dressing too formally would be too proper and serious, affecting everyone's mood. After careful consideration, I thought he was right. So, he donned pants and a basic T-shirt with milky white sneakers. With good-looking facial features and black hair, he looked youthful.
His attractiveness drew Jasmine in. She was fascinated, as if her eyes could no longer accommodate anything else.
However, her attitude infuriated me. No matter how crazy she was, she shouldn't fail to grasp the meaning of his words.
Her expression and emotions fluctuated several times within a few minutes.
Jasmine's rationale soon returned. She looked pitifully at Colin, revealing her frail side through tears. She buried her face as though she'd been wronged a great deal. "Colin, I just want to celebrate your birthday. How can you bear to let them bully me? You disappointed me. I'm so sad."
I could see why she was sad, but why should she be disappointed? Was she trying to seek his help to regain her pride? Who was she to him? Her statements seemed to suggest that they had a close friendship.
Colin was also shocked with disbelief and felt even more disgust.
I secretly smiled. Perhaps he didn't expect Jasmine to be so hypocritical.
He said doubtfully, "Hold on, Ms. Taylor. How's it strange to disappoint you?"
As I couldn't stop laughing, Jasmine turned deathly pale.
Colin's question made her collapse. She no longer had the patience to maintain her gentleness and frailty. She complained angrily in embarrassment, "Colin, what did I do to make you treat me like this?" Colin's expression darkened. "Jasmine, are you really here to celebrate my birthday?"
Her eyes lit up with desire as she
choked a little. She steered the wheelchair and approached him, saying, "Of course, Colin. I love you so much. How could I miss your birthday celebration? I just didn't expect..."
She didn't complete her words, leaving it unsaid for everyone present to imagine.
The students at the scene were all quiet. Each of them grabbed snacks, sat in their seats, and enjoyed their food while watching Jasmine's performance.
If I hadn't been one of the people involved, I would have wanted to grab some snacks and watch the excitement, too. Rarely did such a situation occur. It would be a shame not to appreciate it.
It was indeed shocking for a woman to publicly declare her love for a man who had a girlfriend.
Colin abruptly interrupted Jasmine,
who seemed to want to continue "Ms. Taylor, I'm not sure if you're accustomed to lying to yourself or if you have memory loss. You forgot
what I've said several times. Content
"If that's the case, I'll repeat it in front of dozens of my students and your friends. I have a girlfriend. I love my girlfriend very much. I'll never marry anyone other than her in this life.
"No matter what you do, I'll never fall in love with you in this life, much less have a connection with you beyond that of an alumnus.
"Even if you can't remember my words, my students and your group will remember it. They can remind you not to make mistakes if you become confused again.
"I would be grateful if you sincerely
came to celebrate my birthday. But if
you have other thoughts that you shouldn't have, I have to ask you to
leave Don't come close to me again. Remember, the person I love is Luna Lawson. I'll love her forever."
