Ronnie ignored it and kissed Anna’s neck wildly.

But the knocking on the door outside the room continued, and he finally got annoyed.
“Who the hell is it?! Do you want to die?” He got up from Anna and went to open the door. Anna took the opportunity to put on her pants quickly, not wanting to be seen by others in embarrassment.
A waiter was standing outside the door. Ronnie waved his fist and was about to smash it down. The waiter covered his head, dodged, and shouted, “Ronnie, Mr. Scott is looking for you! Mr. Scott and Mr. Perkins asked to see you! It’s urgent!”
Ronnie’s fist did not come down in the end. He stretched out. his index finger and pointed at the waiter, “Say it again!”
The waiter followed the order and said it again. Anna began
to tremble all over in the room.
“If you dare to lie to me, your dead body will appear by the Yilia City river tomorrow morning!” Ronnie threatened.
“It’s true, Ronnie! I would never dare to lie to you!” The waiter bowed and said hurriedly. Ronnie was afraid of Carlos and didn’t dare to delay. So he left Anna and went to the private room just now.
Anna heard Ronnie’s footsteps fading away and then looked up at the door. At this time, the waiter got into the private room, took off his coat, and handed it to Anna, “Anna, put it
on!”

Carlos took another drag on his cigarette, and the smoke curled around his face, enveloping his true expression and emotion. He threw the remaining half of the cigarette into the half–filled wine glass. The sparks ignited when it met the wine, and a burst of flames shot up and then disappeared. He stood up and straightened his suit jacket, which smelled of private room fragrance. The cheap smell made him unhappy, and he wanted to get rid of it quickly.
“Carlos…” Seeing that Carlos was leaving, Pier didn’t know what to do.
“I gave her a chance,” Carlos said coldly.
”
“If she begs for mercy, maybe I will help her.” Carlos tugged at the cuffs, and the white shirt cuffs pale against the black suit.
“Since it’s her own choice, what does it have to do with me?”

The dark shadows spread in the corridor as Anna was carried by Ronnie to the private room next door. There was a big bed there, and Anna was thrown onto it. She didn’t dare to move or struggle. When encountering bad people and bad things, it would drag her down if she panicked.
Ronnie took off his floral shirt, revealing all his tattoos, and Anna was terrified. She had seen such patterns on TV. In the past, she had been the apple of Todd’s eye, and followed by bodyguards whenever she went out. Now she had to face the dark side of society, and she was inevitably terrified.
But soon she adjusted her breathing. The experience she had learned in the prison was to strike first. She didn’t fight or cry, and calmly shot a bullet enough to crush the opponent.
“I have AIDS!” This was the most lethal excuse she could think
of at the moment.
Unexpectedly, Ronnie didn’t care. He untied his belt and smiled wickedly, “Don’t be afraid. I have had this disease for a long time. If you make me happy, I can consider playing with you for a shorter time!”
Anna was stunned. The bullet that she used to frighten Ronnie was loaded into his gun chamber. Now, the black muzzle of the gun was pointed at her forehead, and she had nowhere to escape.
Just as Ronnie took off Anna’s pants and pressed himself on her, there was a sudden knock on the door of the private

Anna shrank back subconsciously. She didn’t know any of the waiters here. In the past, she had been a proud rich girl. How could she have paid attention to a waiter in the bar?
“I’m Patrick Fox. Don’t you remember me?” Patrick moved closer, hoping that Anna could see clearly with the dim light in the room.
Anna glanced at him timidly, and her eyes lit up a little.
“Patrick?” She whispered his name with uncertainty in her
tone.
It was not that she didn’t remember Patrick. When she had been the respected daughter of the Perkins family, Patrick was Todd’s right–hand man and Anna’s henchman. He would always clean up the mess for this high–spirited rich girl when she got into trouble, and also hold up an umbrella or put on a coat for her when she was frustrated and lonely. Now he had an outstanding temperament and was well–dressed, so Anna didn’t recognize him at a glance.
“Yes, Anna, it’s me. I’ve been promoted by Mr. Perkins and become the deputy general manager of the company. Come on! Come with me!” Patrick was about to pull Anna, but she still had lingering fears and didn’t quite believe him.
She had tried to trust Pier, but he only kicked her when she
was down. As for Carlos, there was no need to look forward to
- it. Now, here came another man Patrick.
When someone stood in high places, he was likely to meet good people. But once he reached the bottom, he would only encounter villains. She didn’t want to take any more risks, so she hesitated when Patrick offered a helping hand.
“Anna, come with me! I dressed up as a waiter to distract Ronnie. I came here to save you! You have to trust me! There’s no time!” Patrick didn’t wait for Anna’s consent and put his coat on Anna. Then he took out a knitted woolen hat from his pocket, put it on her head, and then pulled her to run outside.
Trotting all the way, Anna felt Patrick’s sincerity. She had not been surrounded by such warmth for a long time. Patrick’s palm was warm and reassuring. This night was finally over.
Anna sat in Patrick’s car, looking at the rapidly receding street scene outside the window. The loneliness emanating from the street lights had disappeared probably because of the overflowing warmth inside the car.
The snow started to fall again. Anna rolled down the car
window and reached out to catch it.
“Anna, you still like snow so much.” Patrick, who was driving, glanced at Anna in the passenger seat. She was her, but she was not her. The proud rich girl in his memory had turned into a skinny and pale girl. But some things in one’s bones would never change, such as, she still liked snow, or he still liked her.
Anna came to her sense, turned her head, and smiled at Patrick, “Maybe it’s because I was born in summer.”
Patrick nodded in agreement, “Let’s have a snowball fight when the snow is thicker.”
Anna felt warm and smiled at Patrick. Although this smile was tired, it came from the bottom of her heart, “You still
remember.”
“Of course. I remember everything about you, and I will never forget it!” Patrick said firmly.

The red light ahead did not annoy Anna at all. She withdrew her gaze and was about to reach out to catch some more snow. Unexpectedly, on another roadway, a black Mercedes- Benz stopped quietly, and a man behind the window was staring straight at her with gloomy eyes as if he wanted to devour her. The smile on her face gradually froze and then subsided.
Patrick was full of joy. He waited for the green light to turn on, stepped on the accelerator, and drove Anna away. He
couldn’t wait to get out of here.
Carlos didn’t follow him. He just asked Pier casually, “That driver looks familiar.”
Of course, Pier saw Anna sitting in the car, and he recognized that it was the car assigned to Patrick by the company, a champagne–colored Cadillac. Unlike Carlos, he wasn’t
surprised by Patrick
Patrick had followed Anna around since he came to the Perkins family.
“Is he her former henchman? It’s just that my dad has promoted him to vice president of the company now, and he’s quite capable. Well… isn’t this murderer very lucky? She met a man to help her out even under such circumstances.”
A hint of sarcasm crossed Carlos’s cold face, “Really?”
