Chapter 5 - Jasmines

The SUV pulled up to the safe house in Glendale about half past midnight. The drive was easy after leaving the center of the busy city. With fully tinted windows and a license plate that bought silence, Oren had turned on the radio as Rayner checked the status of their movement. Upon their arrival, Oren pulled into the deceptively large garage and got out of the car, Rayner close behind.

“Stay here while we do a perimeter check,” Rayner warned before shutting the door.

Michel didn’t move. He knew the organization wouldn’t be too pleased with his actions and that they might retaliate, but he had warned them of his intentions before following through with them. The organization had wanted to recruit her and put her with another team in another country, but he refused. They overruled his objections and planned for her abduction two weeks after his deployment, so he swore he would take her first. He knew she wouldn’t resist, and if she did, he was confident to woo her away. Oren had suggested just kidnapping her and creating a hostage situation so as to guilt her into it, but it was Rayner who suggested seducing her into it. He had, shamelessly, taken photos of them together and pointed out just how badly she liked him through his read on her.

Michel had been, initially, a bit surprised and upset to find out that Rayner had watched them for so long, but he understood that the organization simply wanted to protect their assets, and Michel was, for some reason he wasn’t quite sure of, an important asset to them.

Rayner returned and rapped on the window twice. Michel opened the door and lifted Jenna out of the car. He followed Rayner into the house and walked straight for the master bedroom. There, he placed her on the bed and pulled the blankets up to her chin. He walked out to find Oren and Rayner talking in low voices in the dark kitchen. He took a seat and breathed a sigh of relief.

Oren smiled and clapped a heavy hand on Michel’s back. “The hardest part ain’t even hit us yet,” he warned and Rayner also shook his head. Both had known Michel’s intentions to bring Jenna despite the refusal of the organization, but they also knew the regret of not bringing the ones they loved along. The loneliness and the pain of being separated, but having to make do with the situation as it was, which was why they agreed to help him.

Michel nodded and asked, “So, what now?”

Oren sighed and scratched the back of his head. “Once the organization realizes what you’ve done, they can either force you to send her back –”

“In which case, you would have to go on the run or do just that,” Rayner interjected.

“– Or, they’ll just let things be and give you very difficult cases until you guys break.” Despite the playfulness in his tone of voice, Oren was serious.

Michel nodded, “Fine. I’ll be ready for both.”

Oren stood and saluted, “We’ll head back first. If we’re not back by morning, assume the worst.”

Rayner tossed Michel a set of keys to a sports car, “My baby can get you into another jurisdiction if you need it. Consider this a loan because I want her back.”

Michel nodded his thanks and the guys left. He heard the engine’s purr and then all was silent. He turned to face the bedroom and swallowed. He wondered if he should have been that nervous. But remembering the sweetness of her lips and the tentativeness of her touch lured him through the dark house and into the bedroom where his sleeping beauty waited.

Jenna opened her eyes, feeling as if butterflies danced on her stomach. She arched her back as a wet tongue dipped into her belly button. Two strong hands pushed her legs apart and the kisses drifted lower before a tongue found her somewhere she hadn’t even explored herself. Jenna gasped, her eyes wide as Michel touched her. The butterflies had flown away to be replaced by sensations that shook her all over. Each time he pushed her to the edge of sanity, he pulled back and watched her squirm in frustration. And the moment she thought he would tease her again, he sent her over the edge like superfluid and an orgasm so strong shook her long enough for him to kiss his way back up her body to her lips.

His touch was gentle as Michel kissed Jenna and asked, “Are you okay?”

Jenna bit her bottom lip and reached out to touch Michel’s bare skin. Her fingertips made contact with his chest and she shivered from the heat he emitted. “Michel?” she asked, calming down her racing heart.

Michel reached down and Jenna arched again, overwhelmed and in ecstasy. “We’re staying here from now on. You’ll be staying with me,” he kissed her lips, and licked down to her neck. “We’re newlyweds, settling down to have kids,” he paused as Jenna cried out. His fingers continued to move as he watched her lose control. Jenna whimpered and he swallowed, thinking back to the first time he saw her in the lab. Her hands were steady and as she looked through the test tubes, writing her notes in steady and flawless lines, like a typewriter. From the moment he met her, she reflected diligence and hard work. A challenge to conquer.

He wanted to break her.

Seeing her so out of control hardened his every muscle. He had her right where he wanted her. Still, the idea of teasing her seemed more fun than just going straight for the kill. So, he dipped in and pulled back out. Jenna moaned, trying to lock him in place above her, but he slid out of her grasp and pushed her knees apart and against the bed sheet.

Jenna looked down to see Michel open his mouth and make contact with her just before his tongue dipped inside her, a bit like a lamprey. The thought vanished as her hands grasped the sheets, twisting them as her toes curled and flexed. She panted and moaned; her body reacted instantly to the foreign feelings. She tried to keep calm but he kept her where he wanted her until the air was thick with her own scent, mingling with his, though he didn’t release her. It didn’t matter how long it took, Michel was going to ensure her loyalty to him, build an addiction and weakness her body would have to only his, just to trap her in the cage he intended to use to protect her.

As for Jenna, the night with Michel was filled with roughness and gentleness that kept her returning for more. Each time he had his way with her, he surrounded the experience with gentle kisses and firm arms to hold onto her. And regardless of how Jenna reacted, Michel made sure to watch her carefully, noting every frown and moan. He liked that she was so honest with her reactions, her vocal cries of pleasure, and above all, he continued to cover her body with kisses of appreciation dripping with sweetness, knowing full well that she had remained a virgin until that night with him. The victory in taking what she had preciously held on to was even more empowering for him. It would be easy for him to use these first time emotions and blind her to all but him.

He could use this against her. As cold and calculating as he had been trained to be, it was strange how this woman, in turn, seemed to be breaking him. His ego quivered at that thought and he was still for a moment as the idea sank in to him, like the sharp talons into soft prey.

Her sudden cries broke through his reverie. He reached over and kissed her realizing just how momentous and dreadful this occasion was. Though she had chosen to go with him, he had still taken her from the life she set out for herself. And yes, this was his declaration of their silent vows consummated, but he was sure she wouldn’t remember it by morning. They were, relatively on the same page, but it was his book he penned her in to, all the while ripping away the pages before the ones he placed in her book. He had known he would be recruited three months in advance and swore that he would not destroy the life she had worked so carefully to build for herself.

But that proved impossible when her research overshot his by so much that the institute and budgets put them together so as to maximize output in the same amount of time. He thought only to use her brain but when she confessed to having feelings for him, he thought rejecting her would keep her safe and make the parting less hard on her. And yet, with the organization aware of her capabilities, mixed with her desire to be with him, he wondered how grave a punishment he faced for his act of disloyalty to his superiors.

Jenna’s sudden touch to his groin brought him back to their state of play. He reached down to grab her wrist, but she used his momentum to roll him on to his back. Michel watched as she spread her legs and steadied herself as she threw one let around his torso. He’d forgotten how forceful she could be when she wanted to be, and after he helped reposition his tip to her entrance, she pushed his arms away, her hands on his, their fingers interlaced, and she moved on her own, her eyes wide with a look he didn’t remember seeing before.

What’s more, he lifted his head off the bed when he felt her squeeze her inner muscles around him. He tried to shift but she kept him down, lifted her body away from his, and sat back, holding on to his legs, which helped her prolong each movement until he felt himself near release. She was definitely more kinky in bed than anyone would have assumed just looking at her, but he knew he had the upper hand in strength, and so he moved his hips upwards, with her, and then again, pushing her off balance in her uncomfortable position.

Michel got on his knees and pulled her around so that she knelt along with him. He pushed her shoulders to the bed and drilled his length into her. So wet and hot, so tight and still squeezing, Michel was ready to explode within her. He was on the edge and he was ready to see what round two would be like. And if he had enough for a round three?

His uncertainty wavered as she reached back to touch his hips. Her hand trembled as she tried to hold on to him.

No.

He stopped and turned her around. He wanted to see her face. He needed to see her face.

The silence was filled with reassurance, whether she meant to give it to him or not, she comforted his thoughts and brought him back to their current activities. Michel watched her open her arms to him and he entered without hesitation. And, just as sudden as her pushing him down was, she reached up and pulled his face down to hers. She kissed him with a fire that burned so hot, in that moment, Michel knew that she would have chose him if given the choice.

He believed it. When he responded to her kiss, he knew he had to work that much harder to keep her by his side despite the life they had to live. He had prepared himself to say goodbye on that balcony, because he felt he owed her, if anything, more than anyone else, just that, and instead, when the chance came for him to disappear without a trace; he kissed her. That kiss committed him to her and he promised on the stars that watched over them that he would do any and everything to keep her happy.

That night – in that moment – his life was forfeit to her.
