Chapter Epilogue
I and my father ran through the woods for about half an hour until we reached at the top of a hill overlooking the castle of Clanbella.
I stopped and started at the view of the castle in the distance. I casted my mind back to the moments I had spent there for the past few weeks. I was taken from my home in London and was brought to that castle to meet the vampire king. King Bellamy claimed that I was his granddaughter whom he had been tracking down for years, and then he gave me a new name: Mirabelle.
I had been going through a lot as Mirabelle. First, I was forced to marry Prince Maximilian who happened to be my mother’s true mate. Then, I got kidnapped by the werewolves, and at the end, I found out that the beta of that werewolf pack, Ivan Wolfgang was actually my biological father, Donovan Grandville. Yes, my father who all this time was presumed dead apparently was still alive, and he had been turned into a werewolf.
After the kidnapping, I had to spend my days being watched closely by my annoying personal bodyguard, Sigmund. But little did I know that behind his annoying personality, Sigmund was actually a very kind person. He was even willing to betray his king and endangered his own life only to help me. It’s all because of his undying love for my mother.
I was glad that it’s all finally over. I could start living a normal life again now. From this day forth, I didn’t have to be Mirabelle, the half-blood vampire princess and the granddaughter of the almighty King Bellamy, anymore. I was no longer Rosangela Sinclair, the orphan who lived with her adoptive family in London, either. I was now Rosangela Grandville, the daughter of a vampire princess, Claribelle, and a werewolf, Donovan Grandville aka Ivan Wolfgang.
I was pulled out of my reverie when I felt a light tap on my shoulder. Looking back over my shoulder, I saw my father standing behind me with a small smile.
“Let’s get moving again, shall we?” he said.
When I nodded my head, my father started moving again. I gave the castle a backward glance before I came after my father.
“Goodbye, Grandpa,” I whispered tearfully as I kept running, leaving the Clanbella kingdom behind.
