“No!” The man knelt on the ground, roaring miserably.

They went to the bamboo raft and pushed it to the river.

Evangeline jumped off the white tiger. She cut down some bamboo and chopped it into small sections. She drilled a small hole in each one to make water containers. Then she took them to the river, filled them with water, and plugged the holes with stoppers to prevent any leakage.

Each of them filled five containers with water, which was enough for them in the desert.

Now everything was settled and they were ready to go.

Evangeline turned to the white tiger, patted him on his head, and said, “Go. Goodbye, and I don’t think we’ll see each other again. You are now the king of this forest, but I must warn you to stay away for a while, as someone might come to hunt you.”

The white tiger groaned, looking anxious.

Evangeline said, “I don’t understand what you’re saying. Stop roaring”

The white tiger stamped his feet anxiously and circled her. However, Evangeline kicked it away and said, “Stop circling. You’re making me dizzy. A beast your size has no natural enemies in the wild. Just go.”

Evangeline motioned for Marian and Riley to push the raft into the river, and then the three of
