Chapter 341
Chapter 0341
It was from my Facebook posts. I used to treat my social media like a diary. I had said so many things. there that I probably would not remember every word. But once reminded, I could usually recall most of it.
Yet, Nicholas quoted it word for word. He kept moving closer to me, so close that even our breathing felt intimate. I turned my face away and recited a string of numbers.
“Il give you my Facebook account details. The password is… your birthday. Don’t misunderstand. I was just too lazy to change it since I don’t use the account anymore.”
Nicholas turned my face back to him. “If you hadn’t explained, I could have been happy until tomorrow moming”
Under Nicholas’s reproachful gaze, I said something that made him even unhappler. “The past is over. I’ve already cleared everything from that account. I’m giving you the login details so you can check for yourself.”
Nicholas had not expected me to do this. He was stunned for a moment. He then suddenly raised his voice, which trembled a little.
“Who told you to delete it all?”
The silence was suffocating. I said calmly, “You did.”
It was he who had people dig up my “diary“. It was he who had it read aloud in front of a national audience.
Although there was nothing shameful about my love, I was not kind enough to share it with strangers. Liking him used to be my own secret.
Nicholas’s face was pale and gloomy. I touched his cheek. “Nicholas, I just don’t want to dwell in the past anymore.”
Nicholas opened the window and took a deep breath. The cold wind ruffled his hair and hit his face, chilling him to the bone. If Ariana had uprooted everything from their past, would there be a place for him in her future?
When half my face had gone numb from the wind, Nicholas suddenly embraced me from behind. With one hand around my waist, his other hand gripped my shoulder tightly. I did not know what he thought about in such a short time, but he suddenly compromised.
“About the final dinner… shall I go with you?”
I was a bit surprised. “I never told you I was going.”
Nicholas gently bit my earlobe to show his dissatisfaction. “You and Jasmine brought in a lot of viewers for the first episode. If the producers have any sense, they wouldn’t not invite you.”
“Do you want to see me pull her hair?”
“Il pull it for you.”
“Would
you have the heart to?” Nicholas chuckled softly.

I suddenly felt pity for Jasmine. It must be so hard to win a man’s true heart, especially someone like Nicholas.
His heart was divided into eight pieces after all, each for a different woman. Who he wanted to be good to depended entirely on his mood.
I did not take his words seriously, but when we got home, he enthusiastically pulled me to choose outfits. They were all matching couple outfits.
I thought it was too showy. So, I finally chose a black strapless long dress, paired with a white shawl and pearl accessories. He insisted I try it on.
His fingers were still on my zipper when his phone rang. He answered it and put it on speaker. It was a call from Coral Villa.
There was not a live–in housekeeper at Coral Villa at first, but he had specially hired one because he was worried Claudia could not take good care of herself alone.
While he asked about Claudia’s condition, he thoughtfully helped smooth out the hem of my dress. I reached behind to zip up the dress myself and turned to look at him. He was so considerate to everyone.
“Sir, could you please come back and check on Miss? She’s almost destroyed the entire living room. The damages are minor, but I’m worried she might hurt herself!”
