I faked my surprise as I stepped up and waved at Harry warmly. Harry’s body tensed up a little when he saw me, but I tumed a blind eye to it.

I gave him a small hug, just like how I usually would when I was young, before tactfully standing back behind Nicholas My actions were smooth and flawless, while my gaze was pure and innocent.

It was almost as if Pete and I were purely friends like there was nothing more than friendship between us. When I grabbed Nicholas‘ arm and looked at him, I realized the amusement on his expression had faded as he looked at me coldly.

“There won’t be any point being friends with him if he remains locked up either.”

“To my knowledge, the Goodwins have been negotiating with the government for an official tourism project. I believe Nicholas would be able to help them.
