Rift in the perfect picture

Chapter 266

Chapter 0266

I shook my head. “I don’t believe a word you say. You’ve completely lost my

trust.

Nicholas abruptly turned to look at me. “Why don’t you believe me?He reached out, pulling my hand and sliding it into the gap between the buttons of his shirt. “I didn’t lie to you. I’m burning up.”

His body was searingly hot, abnormally so. I instinctively pulled away. Yet, he seemed totally unaffected as he chuckled and traced my hand over his

chest. He then let out a seductive moan.

In my desperation, I curled my fingers and carved out several bloody lines on his chest before he frowned and let go of me.

He didn’t even attempt to hold back as he took off his coat and vest, and started unbuttoning his black shirt one button at a time right before me.

His lashes fluttered, his face a picture of faux hurt as he sank dejectedly into his seat. “You used to be so gentle with me. I had to be really rough with you before you’d even bite my chest, and even then, I loved it. I wished you’d never let go.”

His clothes were in disarray, and with the things he was saying, it would have looked like I’d just used him and dumped him if anyone had walked in.

“Put your clothes back on. We shouldn’t be talking about these things. Besides, you were the one who-”

Nicholas cut me off. “You were the one who made the first move, Ariana.” He seized my hand and pressed it firmly against his chest.

Go ahead and scratch me,” he taunted. “If you can bring yourself to do it, then be my guest.”

His eyes were alight with desire as he held my fingers against his chest and slowly guided them downward, letting them glide over his toned abs. Nicholas was breathing heavily, clearly aroused.

“Do you seriously have no feelings for me at all, Ariana? Do you really want

me to find out myself? You’re definitely to me. I can smell your arousal

Before I knew it, his arms were wrapped tightly around my waist, his breath hot agained my ear. I bought this car specifically for you. We’ve done this a million times here I refuse to believe you’ve forgotten.

My brain was fred. How could someone be so freaking shameless? | couldn’t contain the anger inside me any longer.

“Why are you acting like a real crook?” I fumed, slapping him hard across the

face.

His face jerked to the side due to the force of my slap, and the sunlight from the window created a stark contrast on his hair, casting deep shadows over his face.

When he turned back to face me again, all traces of desire had vanished from his eyes, replaced by a fierce, accusing look.

It was as if he were a creature from the depths of hell, demanding, “So, Pete’s not a crook? He took advantage of the situation. You are my woman- how dare he even think he could have you?”

“We’re divorced! It’s obvious that you just can’t stand to see me happy, can you? I always thought we could part ways amicably, but it seems like you’re determined to strip me of everything–my career, my happiness–you just want to take it all!‘

“You would have had everything if you stayed with me. I’ve never treated you poorly!”

Drawing a deep breath, I tried to steady my voice, but the tremors of anger betrayed me. “Nicholas Hawk, what on earth do I have to do for you to let me go?”

“If I were to let you go, who’s going to let me go? Who’s going to let Pete go? Right now, you’re the only one who can save him.” Nicholas sneered.

“What do you mean by that, Nicholas Hawk? Explain yourself!”
