Chapter Richest Mogul 954
Chapter 954
During breakfast, Joe casually mentioned, “Paul has booked our flight tickets for Fachington for the day after tomorrow. You can let Mr. Gardner Senior know and take some time off.”
Skylar perked up in surprise. “Flight tickets for the day after tomorrow?
She had just wrapped up all her work over the past few days, so she could leave for Fachington without any concerns.
“Yeah. We’ll also take the chance to shoot our wedding photos there,”
Joe said, his tone natural.
When he said, “wedding photos,” his voice was calm, as if this wasn’t just a show for Gloria.
“You’ve made up your mind?” Skylar asked cautiously.
Joe looked up suddenly, locking eyes with her. “Didn’t I prove enough last night?”
Skylar took a deep breath. “What I mean is, are you really sure about not getting a divorce? We’re preparing a wedding, taking wedding photos…. When everything is set, there will be no room for regret.”
“We won’t be getting a divorce.” His tone was firm, and his gaze sharp. Joe couldn’t help but wonder if Skylar was still thinking about
Aiken.
Skylar was a bit taken aback and hesitated slightly before replying, “If this isn’t just a contractual marriage, then there shouldn’t be a third party involved. If you ever want to divorce because you have someone else, I’d prefer you tell me in advance.”
Joe raised an eyebrow. “Can you stick to that?”

“Of course,” she said resolutely. After all, she was the one who brought it up.
Joe’s lips curled into a smirk. “Alright, remember what you said.”

On Monday morning, Skylar went to the HR department to request her leave and handed some tasks to Caleb.
Caleb looked dejected after hearing that Skylar would be in Fachington for half a month. He said, “I can’t work without motivation if you’re gone. I want to go to. I might as well take a break too.”
Moreover, she was going with Joe.
Now, it was obvious that Skylar and Joe’s relationship was stable. They were even traveling together, which further proved their closeness.
Caleb had once hoped for their divorce, thinking it might give him a chance someday. But now, that hope was fading fast.
“Focus on your work, and I’ll bring you back a gift when I return,” Skylar said, patting Caleb’s shoulder.
To her, Caleb was like her brother, Harvey. Both needed to be handled with the same playful coaxing.
Caleb brightened up instantly. “Really? You promise?”
“Of course. If you run into any issues, just leave me a message on WhatsApp, and I’ll reply when I see it. I believe in you. Work hard.”
“Skylar, if you believe in me, then I definitely believe in myself too. I’ll handle this workload with ease.”
After ensuring Caleb understood his tasks, Skylar met with Alexander. The rest of the day flew by with work.

That evening, she finally found time to tell Natalie about her flight the next day. But Natalie didn’t respond immediately.
Skylar didn’t think much of it. Between the time difference and Natalie’s workload, it was understandable. Natalie had mentioned earlier that Austin had been working non–stop on a shoot for days, barely resting.
If Austin hadn’t had a break, then Natalie definitely hadn’t either.
It wasn’t until the next day, while Skylar and Joe were on their way to the airport, that Natalie replied.
“I slept for an entire day yesterday. Mr. Powell has been filming night scenes for days. Ah! Are you surprising me on purpose? When you will get here? I’ll check my schedule and ask Mr. Powell if I can pick you up.”
Skylar glanced at Joe, who was sitting beside her. Then, she texted back, “Joe’s already arranged for someone to pick me up at the
airport. Don’t worry about it, I’ll come find you in a day or two.”
Natalie responded quickly, “Joe’s thoughtful. Alright, I’ll just focus on work today.”
“Yes, focus on work.”
A few minutes later, Natalie sent another message. “Skylar, I’ve been working with Mr. Powell for so long, and after we got really into our roles and kissed, it seems like I can’t view him the same way anymore.
“Anyway… I’m feeling quite strange right now. Once you get here, I’d like to talk it over with you and get your advice.”
