Chapter 1390
After a moment of thought, Joe spoke.
"I'll handle this matter. I'll have Paul send someone over to Avalon Residence," he quickly came up with a plan.
Skylar nodded and said, "I'll prepare a few talismans in advance and let them place them there. If there are any negative items, these will reduce their influence on you."
Over the years, aside from searching for Joe, Skylar also studied and researched negative items. She had even developed methods to restrain their power.
Hearing this, Joe suddenly fixed his gaze on Skylar.
Skylar was confused by his look. "What is it?"
Joe just reached out and gently ruffled her hair. The strands felt silky under his fingers. Her hair was long, past her shoulders, and down to her waist.
Today, she had curled it, making her look both radiant and innocently captivating-like an angel who could steal one's soul at any moment.
"You're that worried about me?" His tone carried a hint of amusement.
Faced with his intense gaze, Skylar's heart raced slightly, but she replied sincerely, "Of course."
"Lizzie will release a statement ending our fake relationship from three years ago in a few days. Then, after some time, we'll officially announce our relationship to the public," Joe said.
He didn't remember what had happened before he lost his memory, but hiding his feelings wasn't something he was inclined to do now.
Skylar was his wife, and he wanted everyone to know it.
After returning, he realized that quite a few people had their eyes on her. Just thinking about it made him uncomfortable.
"Alright, you decide the timing, and I'll follow you," Skylar agreed without hesitation. It didn't matter to her whether the announcement was made sooner or later.
Recently, Joe's attentiveness toward her had far surpassed what it had been three years ago.
Sometimes, she even had the illusion that his current affection and care for her were only because he had lost his memory and there were only a few people he felt familiar with. And Skylar just happened to be one of them. Of course, she quickly brushed off that thought.
Nothing mattered more than their current life together. As long as love existed in their hearts, that was enough.
...
It was Steven and Mona's wedding day a few days later.
Skylar had arrived early to help out.
This was their family's first wedding celebration and a moment of welcoming a new family member. Everyone was overjoyed, none more so than Janine. She was going to have a daughter-in-law. Many people attended the wedding.
Steven and Mona appeared in front of everyone as a perfect couple. Both families were wonderful and got along well.
To add to the excitement, Charles, a celebrity, was there.
Many guests were his fans, making the wedding not only a joyous occasion but also a star-struck event for some.
As Skylar took in the wedding scene, she felt truly touched. Steven and Mona's love story was beautiful beyond words.
While she was listening to them share their journey of meeting and falling in love, Joe suddenly sent her a message. So, she quickly stepped out into the hotel corridor to reply to him.
