Richest Mogul

Chapter 1381

Compared to Skylar, he still felt quite inadequate. An hour later, feeling a bit tired, Skylar sat down to rest and chatted with Caleb.

"How is Joe treating you these days?" Caleb asked.

He had wanted to ask this for a while. A few years ago, he felt that Joe didn't treat Skylar well, and now that Joe had lost his memory, Caleb was even more convinced that Joe was not worthy of her.

It seemed like fate was never going to give him a chance. He yearned for the day when Skylar could be with him instead.

Every day, he hoped for Skylar's return. But the reality was that Skylar come back, and she had brought Joe with her, which felt like a significant blow to Caleb.

Skylar smiled and replied, "He treats me well."

Although she said this, she could sense that Joe was even less restrained since his memory loss.

Aside from her menstrual period, Joe seemed to be trying to make up for the three years he had missed. Sometimes, it felt as if she might fall apart from the intensity of it all.

"Well, if he's not treating you well, just kick him out," Caleb said with irritation. Skylar couldn't help but laugh. "Sure, if he's not good enough, I'll make him leave."

"By the way, I ran into Simona and Stephen at a mall yesterday. Why are they still together? Isn't Aiken supposed to know everything?" Caleb was someone who couldn't let anything slide, especially if it was something he disapproved of. Skylar's smile faded. "After work, I'll visit Harvey at school and check on Simona too. Maybe Aiken is waiting for the right moment."

"I think someone like that, who lies through their teeth, should be taught a lesson. A good beating would make him think twice before lying again. Simona is way too kind and trusting." Caleb gritted his teeth, clearly frustrated. Watching Caleb's cynical demeanor, Skylar chuckled. "Remember I mentioned introducing you to Harvey? Want to come to school with me today?"

"Maybe another day. I'm really afraid that if I see Simona, I might spill that Stephen is a bastard, and then I might just lose it and punch him.

"But Harvey doesn't know me, I know him. He sometimes streams games online. He's amazing! Now I'm one of his fans. Skylar, how come everyone in your family is so impressive?"

Caleb was genuinely filled with admiration, not just buttering her up.

Skylar was indeed impressive, and so were Steven, Charles, and Harvey. Each one excelled in their field, earning admiration and respect from others.

Skylar chuckled. "You're impressive too, Caleb. You've accomplished what would take most people five or six years, all in just a few."

Caleb wasn't immune to compliments. His handsome face flushed a bit. "Well, yeah, I think I'm alright too. Excuse me, I need to head to the restroom," he said quickly before making his exit. Watching Caleb hurry off, Skylar shook her head with a smile. Caleb's blunt yet sincere spirit, along with his fearless loyalty, was genuinely refreshing.

That afternoon, at Jipsburg College, Skylar waited for a few minutes until Harvey ran over with his hair in complete disarray.

Seeing his untidy appearance, she couldn't help but ask, "What happened to you?"

"I don't have any classes this afternoon, so I was catching up on sleep with a nap. Last night, I played in a tournament. Guess what, Skylar-do you think I won?"

"You? Of course, you won," Skylar said confidently.

"You know me too well!" Harvey laughed, patting his hair into a somewhat presentable state. Despite the messy hair, it did nothing to diminish his charm.

In fact, during his time at college, he had attracted the attention of numerous talent scouts.

Once, Charles even took him on a reality show, and many viewers were convinced he should start a career in the entertainment industry. Some said his staying out of showbiz was a great loss. Skylar handed him a bag. "Here, I made some pastries yesterday. When you're gaming at night, you can have these if you get hungry."
