Chapter 1378
Lizzie raised an eyebrow. "I saw your news before. What do you want to talk about?"
Rosa examined Lizzie from head to toe. It was undeniable that Lizzie had the poise of a violin artist. There was an air of aloofness about her that other women could only envy, a quality that words couldn't describe. One glance from her seemed to create an unbridgeable distance between them, making Rosa feel almost common in comparison.
"Since you know who I am, you must also understand my relationship with Joe over the past three years. I know you're his fiancée, right?" Rosa shifted her gaze from Lizzie, though she couldn't help but compare the two of them in her mind. Yet, despite everything, she still felt a sense of pity for Lizzie. They were both discarded by Joe. However, Lizzie seemed more unfortunate as she had not only been rejected but also deceived.
Joe had secretly been involved with Skylar all this time, and it appeared that Lizzie was still unaware of it.
Lizzie narrowed her eyes. "Just say what you need to say. I don't have much time."
Rosa noticed Lizzie's aloof demeanor and couldn't help but smile slightly. She appeared too impatient with Joe's affairs.
It was no wonder Joe sought solace with other women. It seemed like Skylar knew how to be more flexible and charming.
"Are you aware that Joe has been keeping another woman on the side? He even brought her home," Rosa stated.
She spoke while watching Lizzie's reaction closely.
As expected from someone who often faced the media, Lizzie's expression remained unchanged at Rosa's revelation. Perhaps people from affluent families had grown accustomed to men keeping mistresses behind their parents' backs. Or maybe Lizzie was just skilled at hiding her true feelings.
Rosa suspected that Lizzie was pretending not to care, but she believed that deep down, Lizzie was shocked. After all, there had been no media exposure of Joe's involvement with Skylar over the years.
Upon hearing Rosa's words, Lizzie couldn't help but smirk internally. So this was the reason Rosa had come to seek attention from her.
"Fine, I get it. If there's nothing else, you can get out of the car," Lizzie said, showing no emotion as she dismissed Rosa.
It was clear that Rosa was not as impressive as she thought.
No wonder she hadn't revealed Joe's true identity to him in the past three years. Her motives were questionable.
It seemed she had come to complain about Skylar, hoping to stir trouble between her and Skylar, while she sat back to reap the benefits. She certainly had her schemes worked out.
Rosa's eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at Lizzie. "Aren't you angry? They've been deceiving you! Joe's been with me for three years while he had amnesia. We're about to get married. You don't care at all?" "This is my business. If you have any complaints or demands, go talk to Joe. Whether I care or not is none of your concern. Get out of the car." Lizzie's patience had worn thin, and she urged Rosa to leave. "Are you sure you don't want to know who that woman is?" Rosa stammered.
She was genuinely taken aback by Lizzie's reaction, feeling confused and somewhat lost. She couldn't comprehend how Lizzie could be so unfazed by the news she had just shared.
Rosa couldn't accept seeing Skylar approaching Joe.
Deep down, Rosa wished for Skylar to disappear. No woman would willingly share her man with anyone else. Lizzie rolled her eyes.
"If I were you, I'd leave Jipsburg right now. Staying here won't do you any good. The more you cling on, the less you'll get.
"Why act like you're in a circus trying to get everyone's attention? Do you think everyone else is a fool who can't see through your schemes? You're way too naïve to play those tricks with me. Now get lost!" Lizzie had a bad temper. She despised fake, pretentious women who spouted eye-rolling nonsense in front of her.
If she hadn't had some decorum, she would have slapped Rosa by now.
