Chapter Richest man’s 6
Chapter 6
Over these years, I scrimped and saved, gave the leftovers of my living expenses to my brother, asked him to pay the school fees for the girls from the mountains who couldn’t afford to go to school.
For the girls from the mountains, the lucky ones could only get to primary school. To get to junior high school, or would have to go to the county, which cost too much that most ramilies couldn’t afford.
Hence, I asked my brother to deliver the school fees personally to the schools that the girls passed, making sure they could
study.
One day, my brother came to my school to deliver the clothes my foster mother bought for me and the letters the girls had given him to pass to me. Lucy saw this.
She scorned my brother for his ordinary clothes, sneered at his poor look, and scoffed at him for attempting to climb up the social ladder, likening him to a beggar.
I scolded Lucy fiercely and reassured my brother that he would always be my younger brother.
Our foster father fell and broke his leg several years ago while working in town. Because it was private work, he couldn’t get any compensation. His leg just paralyzed, and he could only take some anti–inflammatory drugs.
The doctor said that without treatment, my foster father would become completely paralyzed.
But the operation would cost more than a hundred thousand, for our poor family, this was undoubtedly astronomical.
At this time, my biological parents came to visit.
When I left my foster parents‘ hoe, they gave them one hundred thousand. Plus the priclifference of the clothes t saved from my mom, my saved allowance, a total of sixty thousand dollars, I transferred algo my foster mom.
Part of it was for my foster father surgery and part of it was for my brother’s education.
Thankfully, the operation was a secos and for half a year of rest, my foster father went back to work.
Having an extra pair of hands working, our family’s finances improved significantly
tast year, my brother got into a middle school in the city, close to our school, so they rented a place hear the city.
My
Aly foster father worked at a construction site and my foster mother worked as a server in a restaurant life was colorful.
Finally, I could occasionally meet with them and my brother would some come to visit me.
I had previously promised to lend my old notes to my brother. When I went to find him one day after school, he was nowhere to be seen at our appointed time.
I took out my phone to record a video to show him where I was, but I suddenly heard painful screams from an alley nearby.
It was long after school ended, so there were not many people around.
I cautiously approached the alley and held my phone out first to see what was happening.
Upon seeing the scene, I was terrified!
In the video, a group of troublemakers was beating up a boy.
One of them was Lucy!
Chapter o
Although the boy’s back was facing me and I couldn’t see hist face, my intuition told me it was my brother!
