The luggage I brought only included two old T–shirts and a pair of jeans with altered hems, which were pitifully out of place in this lavish mansion.

Seeing this, my mom’s eyes turned red with tears

Lucy quickly went to her room and brought out a pile of brightly colored princess dresses for me.

Sister, these dresses were bought by Mom and have only been worn once or twice. Since you don’t have any dresses, you can have them all. If you don’t like these, I have many more in my closet that you can choose from.

My mom praised Lucy happily, Lucy is such a good girl.

I smiled faintly and took out a slightly better T–shirt from my bag, handing it to her.

This T–shirt was given to me by a neighbor’s sister, and I’ve only worn it a couple of times. Now, I’m giving it to my sister. Or you can choose from these two. If you want, I can even give you the one I’m wearing.

Lucy’s lips quivered, her eyes turning red, and she cried to my mom, Mom, I just wanted to give my sister dresses. How could she insult me like this Does she not like me…

When Lucy cried, my mom felt sorry for her again.

Our family was in business and very wealthy. Lucy had been pampered with luxurious clothes and food since she was little. But being from the mountains, I never knew that a piece of clothing, a skirt, could be sold at such high prices!

I casually glanced at an ordinary T–shirt which shockingly costs over a thousand bucks!

You have to know, after much hardship rearing pigs, a whole year would only earn me a few grand per pig!

The dress Lucy was trying on cost close to ten thousand dollars! Kay, do you see anything you like Try anything you want. If you like it, Mum will buy it for you.

Lucy, holding my mother’s hand, said, Yes sister, you have been so poor in the mountains and probably never worn such beautiful clothes. Go ahead and choose.

Finally, I switched to a cheaper store, picked out some relatively cheaper T–shirts and jeans which cost hundreds for each piece, and it was heart–breaking.

I held the receipt in my hand, spent a good while calculating the price difference between my and Lucy’s purchases.

She spent over thirty thousand more than me!
