High school coursework was incredibly heavy and I still needed to spare some time to tutor my brother. As there was hardly any interaction with my dad, I couldn’t skip class to follow him, so the progress was hard.

Therefore, I decided to keep my attention on Lucy.

The mistress was my father’s first love.

Back in the day, my father, a graduate from a no–name university, took great pains to join the James Group. His integrity and good looks got him into the good graces of my mother, the Group’s heiress. He married his way up to become the head of the Group, succeeding my grandfather.

My grandparents died early, with most of the Group’s shares in my mother’s hands

As such, my father could not afford to divorce my mother.

Over the years, as the Group’s man in charge, it was unclear how much money he had pilfered to lavish on his mistress.
