Chapter 1132
Meanwhile, in a private dining room at the restaurant.
Odie glanced at his watch. It was 9:15 PM. An hour had slipped by, and he had no clue how the dinner party was going.
"Mr. Odie, with the support of you and Ms. Sophie, I believe my son's future is looking very bright. Allow me to toast to you once more!" Mr. Donny said, beaming with joy. But Odie was beyond tired of the old man's endless chatter. 'Ding-ding—'
Just then, Odie's phone vibrated. He looked down to see an unknown number flashing on the screen. But he recognized it immediately.
He answered the call, and Colby's urgent voice came through, "There's a trap at the Pearl Hotel! Get your people in now!"
"What?!" Odie's face turned ice cold, and the air around him seemed to freeze.
Mr. Donny, clueless about the situation, asked, "Mr. Odie, what's wrong?"
Before Mr. Donny could react, Odie had already grabbed him by the throat, his eyes dark and menacing. "So, you think you can play games with me, old man? If anything happens to Sophie, I'll make sure the Spellman family pays dearly!" With that, Odie grabbed his coat from the chair and barked at Jonah, "Start the car! Get our people to storm in!"
"Yes, boss!"
In no time, Odie's car was speeding towards the Pearl Hotel.
"Boss, we've made contact with our team."
"What's the situation?"
"Mr. Gibbs's men are blocking the entrance. Our people can't get in."
Odie's eyes flashed dangerously. "Does Daniel have a death wish?"
"Boss..."
"Take action, hit them hard. Even if it means burning the Pearl Hotel to the ground tonight, Sophie must be safe!" "Yes, boss!"
Inside the Pearl Hotel, Vanessa was on the fifth-floor corridor, overlooking the entire banquet hall. Sophie had been missing for a good twenty minutes. It was like she had vanished into thin air.
Vanessa frowned. The hunter's voice crackled over the walkie-talkie, "Ms. Vanessa, we found a discarded white evening gown at the end of the second-floor corridor." Vanessa let out a cold laugh. She hadn't expected Sophie to be so prepared. No matter, as long as all the socialites were eliminated, Sophie wouldn't escape either.
"Capture Sophie and bring her to me. I want to deal with her personally," Vanessa ordered, her eyes glinting with cold malice.
At the stairwell on the fifth floor, Sophie spotted four of Vanessa's bodyguards blocking the way.. Forcing her way through seemed impossible, and there was no better option at the moment...
Just then, a socialite pointed at Sophie, shouting, "She's here! Over here!" Instantly, every hunter in the building turned their attention to the fifth floor.
Sophie turned to see a teary-eyed nineteen-year-old girl, her makeup smeared from crying. She sobbed, "I-I'm sorry, I just want to survive. My parents are waiting for me to come home..."
Seeing Sophie on the fifth floor, Vanessa let out a cold laugh and immediately ordered the four bodyguards stationed at the
stairwell to take action. With a net
the
hunters downstairs, catching up to Sophie would take time, but these four bodyguards were closest to her.
