Chapter 1052
Sophie's laughter was sweet as she reached out her hands towards Colby. Without missing a beat, Colby swept her into his arms in a classic princess hold. "Wedding dress! The wedding dress!"
Adler was practically sprinting behind them, clearly frazzled by the long train of the wedding dress that Lennon had chosen. It was such a hassle, needing someone to hold it up the entire time! "Wait up!"
Jenna hiked up her skirt, dragging Sandy along as she rushed down the stairs.
Angelo hurried to keep up, while Reece just shook his head and sighed.
This wedding was certainly turning into quite the lively event.
Colby's wedding car was a real showstopper. Under the watchful eyes of the guests, Colby carried Sophie into a pumpkin carriage.
Sophie stared at the two white horses leading the carriage and couldn't help but blurt out, "Colby, are you serious?"
"It was Grandpa's idea."
"...I'm kind of mortified."
A pumpkin carriage, white horses, and a fairy-tale castle-was this straight out of a Hans Christian Andersen story?
Who would've thought Grandpa, at his age, would still have such a whimsical spirit!
Sophie was out of options. The wedding had already gone this far, so she just had to roll with it.
"Wow, Grandpa really went all out. It's like he brought a fairy tale to life."
Jenna hopped into a pedicab, but it was a luxurious, oversized version! Sitting beside her, Adler asked, "So, what do you think? Do you like it?"
"Not bad, it's quite original. I love it!" Jenna replied with a bright smile.
Seeing her happiness, Adler suggested, "Then... how about we use this for our wedding too?"
Hearing this, Jenna's face turned
bright red. She avoided Adler's gaze
too
and stammered, "The wind's loud-I can't hear you! Stop talking!"
Adler had used all his courage to say those words. Seeing Jenna dodge the question, he didn't dare push further, afraid of saying the wrong thing and upsetting her.
Outside the castle, the guests had already gathered early.
Amid the cheerful laughter and clapping, Colby helped Sophie down from the pumpkin carriage.
Lennon, standing among the crowd, felt his eyes well up with tears.
He never thought he'd live to see his grandson get married! His life felt complete.
"Look! Isn't that Mr. Gordon?"
"Mr. Gordon is walking? This is a miracle!"
The crowd gasped in surprise. Sophie followed their gaze and saw Gordon walking towards them from the other side of the red carpet.
Gordon moved slowly, with an
elegant cane in hand. But he wasn't
leaning on it; he just tapped it
against the ground now and then for
balance. No one could tell there was anything wrong with his legs.
"Mr. Gordon?" Sophie was taken aback.
She hadn't seen Gordon around lately. How was he suddenly walking?
Jenna was just as shocked.
"That rehab must've worked wonders!"
Angelo, puzzled, whispered to his sister, "Wasn't Mr. Gordon in a wheelchair before? Am I imagining things?"
"No, you're right. I remember that too!"
By then, Gordon had reached Sophie and Colby. He gave them a warm smile and said, "Happy wedding."
"Mr. Gordon, just saying 'happy wedding' isn't enough! What gift did you bring?"
At their engagement party, Gordon's gift had been so extravagant it nearly outshone the groom!
"Don't worry, the gift is already delivered. You can open it after tonight's celebration."
