Return of the Lycans (part 1: The Lycan's)

Chapter Warriors needed.

'My husband will send twenty of our warriors. We cannot offer more. There are also many women here with small cubs, they need our protection. Including myself.'

"Thank you, my queen."

"Okay, I'm out of here." I nod to all the men and glare at Damon before leaving the room.

A little while later I'm lying on our bed with a book in my hands. The door opens and Damon walks in. He looks angrily in my direction.

'What?' I ask a little too briefly.

'Was that really necessary? Twenty warriors is really a lot."

'Enough to help them. And besides, isn't it proper for a king to serve his people? The werewolves of the South and North have no king. They have to do everything themselves. Isn't it appropriate to help them then?'

Damon gets into bed next to me and caresses my stomach. Our cub follows his hand and the frown that has been on his face all along disappears. 'You're right. I'm just way too worried about Alpha Jan trying to hurt you and our little cub."

I look at his face and see the frown appear again. "Is there anything else?"

'I have to get to the border this evening. There's something wrong with the security there and I want to check it out for myself.'

"Can't your dad or Beta Chris do that?"

"They're busy too. It won't be long.'

**Damon**

Lana looks at me with concern, but smiles back when our little cub stamps my hand hard. I put myself better so that my face ends up close to her beautiful round belly. I lift her T-shirt and kiss her belly. A second blow to my hand makes us both laugh.

“You are a fierce cub. You will become a strong Lycan. I can not wait to meet you.' Our cub now moves gently against my hand. I look at Lana with a smile and she looks back smiling.

"Damon?"

'Yes?'

'Would you mind while you're gone? I do not want to lose you.'

'Of course I'll be careful,' I answer confidently.

I lay back on my pillow and pull her towards me for a tight hug.

The next evening was difficult. There is a large opening in the forest where the enemy can easily sneak in. We've been talking about walls, more waiting, and many other ideas. But it all takes a lot of time, and we don't have that.

After the many conversations we didn't have time to take the long drive home. So we spend the night in a small inn. I'm lying in bed, listening.

Downstairs people are still talking, but the longer I listen the quieter it gets. I sniff the air and a slight smell of blood fills the air. I was shocked and quickly put on my clothes. When I open the door I smell the sickening smell of blood. I don't have much time to react, because when I look next to me I get a hard knock from behind me and I feel dizzy. The two men knock as hard as they can on my head and in my stomach. My wolf has no time to take over, when one fatal knock between my eyes leaves me unconscious on the ground.
