Chapter Luna Sonja
Everyone is silent and all eyes are staring at us. Damon's father proudly walks to the podium and addresses the crowd.
"Werewolves of the Black Wolf Pack. I am proud to introduce you to the first two Lycans to return to our earth after a long time running. My son Damon and his beautiful Lana. Come forward, children." Damon smiles at me before we walk hand in hand onto the stage.
Nerves come on as I look at all the staring eyes. Some with joy and others full of disgust.
“Tomorrow is a very, very important day. The day we celebrate together, with all the Alphas of the West. We will have a coronation and from then on we will not only be one of the strongest pack, but we will also be the capital of the entire wolf community of the West. Today we celebrate our Lycan's birthday. Tomorrow we will continue celebrating for our wedding couple, coronation and celebration for the appointment of the next Beta and Gammas of the West,' says Alpha Erik proudly. Everyone cheers and fear takes over my feelings. Damon looks at me with concern and whispers, 'Are you okay? You look so pale?"
"Getting married, are we getting married?"
“Uh, yes, usually this happens at a coronation or at the announcement of a new Alpha when he has found his Mate. Don't you want to marry me?"
“No, yes, of course I would, but it all happens so quickly. I...I'm scared."
"Me too, baby, me too." Damon takes my head between his hands and kisses my hair. He then takes me in a tight hug. Some pack members start to greet us and give us their congratulations.
The party is well underway when Daisy and Nelly run over to me. 'Damon, can we snatch Lana from you. She really needs to go to sleep now. Tomorrow is her big day.'
"Yes, take her ladies. Good night, my princess ' Damon gives me another kiss on my lips before the two girls take me to my room where there are already two sleeping bags on the floor. We plop ourselves on my bed. I sigh deeply before looking at both my girlfriends lying on either side of me.
"Did you plan this?"
“Your mother asked us and we couldn't say no. So, Lana, tell me. How does it feel to be a Lycan and the hottest guy on earth happens to be your Mate?' asks Daisy curiously.
'Good good. I think I miss Damon already. I miss his warmth, his kisses, the fine electric sparks with every touch.'
"Only good," Nelly asks with raised eyebrows.
"No, it's great," I reply dreamily.
I talk to the girls until the early hours and hoped I could sleep a few more hours until there was a knock on the door. I look at the clock and it's only one o'clock in the afternoon. I've seen my bed for a total of two hours. My mother comes in with a really big smile on her face and a tray full of goodies. We eat our breakfast or rather all our lunch, laugh at the stupidest things and the girls fantasize about their future true Mate.
Then Nelly says something surprising: ''Daisy, you'll know soon enough. Today is your birthday."
"Really, today?" I ask excitedly.
"Yes, I was born a few minutes after midnight, which means I will find my wolf at your party," she replies shyly.
"Oh my goddess, that wasn't worth mentioning or what?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.
'I didn't want to say it because today is your day,' Daisy replies.
'Come on, it's your day too. You can find your Mate today. Don't let that be overshadowed by calling it my day. Besides, this queen wants to be at your first transformation.'
Daisy smiles and replies, "I'd love nothing more."
I smile at Daisy and then look out the window. At least thirty cars are already parked in front of the door. Three new large black SUV's have just parked and a large, broad-shouldered black man steps out of the middle one. He has the air of authority. Definitely an Alpha you don't want to argue with.
“That's the Alpha of the blood river wolves. He is known to be a really grumpy man, but his Luna is the complete opposite and brings out the best in him,' says my mother, who must have just entered the room and stood next to me. The woman gets out on the other side of the car and gracefully approaches her husband, who puts his arm over her shoulder and approaches the pack house. She is tall, thin, white and has the whitest long hair I have ever seen. Her pale blue long fitted dress is something you can only get from designers.
'It will be busy this weekend with a lot of formalities,' my mother says as she gives me a deep hug. I nod and take a deep breath.
"Knock Knock"
"Come in," I call. The woman who just walked into the pack house below is now at my door and has some clothing bags with her.
"Sorry to interrupt, but I brought the clothes you asked for, Caroline."
"Thank you, Luna Sonja." De Luna puts the bags on my bed and immediately gives my mother a big hug.
'Oh Caroline, it's been so long since I've seen you. I've missed you.'
"Me too girlfriend, me too. How does it feel to be back in the old pack?'
'Good, very good. You can see that Alpha Erik is a good Alpha for his pack. It has become a colorful village.'
"And how's your Alpha?"
'Hihi, still my big teddy bear. A real softie. But what did a little bird tell me? You and Daniel? You know you're getting those two hotheads as stepsons.'
"I can handle them, they are super annoying today, but that's because of their nerves."
'And now,' Sonja says when she looks back at me. 'Is this the beautiful lady who is going to get married and become our queen,' Sonja asks.
'Sonja, this is my daughter Lana. Lana, this is Luna Sonja.'
"Let go of that Luna dear. You will be our queen later. I should address you by your title. Come on Lana, I've got something for you. A present from your mother and another one from me."
I'm looking at the three most beautiful dresses out there. There is a white strapless lace dress. Which has a heart-shaped bust and there is a flower-shaped lace veil with it. The second dress is red with a white beige line from chest to bottom. It looks Victorian, but thankfully it's made from a much thinner fabric. And then the third dress is a beautiful long black nightgown. I feel the silk fabric and look at Sonja with a questioning look. She shrugs and says, "A woman should be beautiful on her wedding night." Those words keep ringing in my head and I swallow because reality is closing in. We have a wedding night. I smile and think of Damon.
“What is it, why are you calling me?” asks Damon concerned, through the mind link.
"I didn't call you."
"You were thinking of me then?"
'Maybe yes.'
"Hopefully, good thoughts?"
"I'm so nervous, Damon."
"Me too baby, me too."
'I miss you.'
"I miss you too," Damon replies before we close our link back.
I look at the others in the room talking to each other. Everyone is happy. I take a deep breath and clear my throat for the others' attention.
'Come, let's get ready for a busy day,' I say enthusiastically to my guests.
