Chapter My Twins Baby 85
Chapter 85 Chapter 85
Xavier POV
I was breathing heavily now, eyeing my brother who had a split p, bruised eye, and several other bruises marring his face. We continued to throw down with one another, while the guards began to grow nervous, the longer we continued to fight. without either of us looking as though we were going to stop any time soon.
"Should we do something? What if they kill each other?" I heard one say anxiously to the other man.
"Bastard" I shouted in fury, slamming Xander hard against the bars as he let out a growl and elbowed me in the stomach, shoving me backward "I hope you die first, you weak and pathetic mutt" I sneered, dodging to the side as he threw a punch towards me, made more difficult by the fact we were cuffed. It was difficult but was not preventing us from hurting each other.

"Maybe. If they do kill each other, Heather Ramona is bound to be angry. She wanted them to be executed in front of the whole pack as punishment, remember" the other man murmured "and she might even blame us if they die" he added in a hushed voice.
I sensed that neither of them wanted that. Heather Ramona was bound to punish them if that happened or even kill them for their failure to do as she'd asked. They continued to look hesitantly at the both of us, mulling over what they should do.
I tried not to grin, letting out a loud groan as Xander's hand collided with my nose, instantly breaking it, blood spurting everywhere, including all over my clothes.I grimaced and then pushed it back into place, used to such injuries during training. It would take much more than this to hurt me. Xander just looked at me smugly, his body poised to attack once more. He was enjoying this. Bastard.
"You, both, stop it at once" the guard nearest tried to order us, his voice firm.
We ignored him. I punched Xander in the stomach with both fists, causing him to double over and spit blood onto the ground. I winced thinking that Regan was no doubt feeling this pain but knowing that at the moment we didn't have any other choice...not if we were going to get free. I hoped she forgave us for this later. It was for her sake we were taking this chance.
"I've always been the stronger one, you arrogant jackass" sneered Xander, throwing an uppercut and getting me in the jaw. "You just think you're better than me" he shouted, kneeing me in the stomach.
Ouch. That one actually hurt. I was mildly impressed as I stepped back and kicked out, hitting Xander in the kneecap and forcing him to fall to the ground on his knees with a heavy thud. The guards gave an exclamation, coming closer and beginning to look mildly concerned. They hadn't anticipated that Xander and I would fight if placed in the same cell together. Idiots.
"Cease" one yelled out, banging the bars with his hand, and then cursing as the bars burned his flesh.
As if we were going to listen to them. The guard began to rifle in his pockets with a look of exasperation on his face.. "Stand here" he ordered his comrade, putting a key into the lock of the door and beginning to rush in without thinking it over. I never thought that the warriors could be so stupid but I was wrong.
!
Xander and I continued to punch each other, dancing around the guard who attempted to grab the both of us but it was futile to grab two at once. He motioned impatiently to his colleague and I gave Xander a subtle grin. I had thought they would merely come close to the bars for this to work but it looked as though they didn't consider us much of a threat to come into the cell itself...
I wanted to pat myself on the back for coming up with such an ingenious plan, but part of me thought the guards were simply lacking commonsense and intelligence. Surely anybody with half a brain would have realized what our intentions were?
The other guard came in and the two of us acted instantly. We both turned and simultaneously kicked out, sending both of

the guards to the ground. Before they could move and while they were still momentarily stunned, we banged the guard's heads together and then banged their heads on the floor, knocking them out cold. I frowned, feeling dissatisfied with how easy it had been to overpower the guards. "Not much in the way of fighters" I muttered in disapproval, shaking my head and rummaging through their pockets for a key.
I withdrew one and managed to undo my cuffs, handing it to a tumphant Xander. He grinned and undid his cuffs, breathing heavily. He glanced down at the guards with a glint in his eyes.
"I have to say, you did one hell of a job. At first, I wasn't sure where you were going with the whole blaming thing but then it hit me" he said, shaking his head, as we bent down and grabbed the guards, dragging them to the far corner of the cell and dumping them there, before Xander carefully placed the key in his trouser pocket and shut the cell door, firmly locking it
behind us.
"Shame we don't have anything to tie them with" Xander commented wryly, glancing around.
We could have put the cuffs on them but it seemed pointless...
"Who cares? We'd just be wasting precious time and I want to get to Regan and find out what happened to her" I told him, beginning to turn around, only to hear the sound of footsteps approaching from the stairs and the door leading downwards.
I swore under my breath. Great. More warriors and guards. The last thing we needed after managing to get ourselves free. As it was, now that the silver cuffs were off, we were beginning to heal our minor wounds, but our wolves were still unreachable. I could feel the wolfsbane beginning to fade in my system and leave my bloodstream and knew it wouldn't be long until I could speak to mine. I just had to be patient a little longer. But that time could cost me. That was the concern.
Imet Xander's eyes. "Hide" I mouthed, and we knelt down, scurrying behind one of the trolleys behind the stairs and listening to the sound of the footsteps as they began to slowly thud down the stairs with an ominous sound.
"It's only one. We can take them by surprise before they mind-link for more men" Xander mouthed.
our odds. I slowly nodded in agreement. There were two of us and only one of them. Not to mention we were Alphas. I liked If whoever the person was spotted the guards in the cell before we could get to them then all would be lost, and we would be fighting for our lives again. We cautiously began to creep out as the person stepped out from the shadows, our fists raising in preparation to hit them and knock them out stone cold. The man turned around abrupty and we quickly dropped our hands, our mouths gaping in astonishment. Xander was peeved as he glared at the man.
"What the hell took you so bloody long?" he complained "Do you have any idea how long we've been down here for?" he added grumpily. "I was waiting for you."
"I apologize Alphas, but I had to wait until I could take out the guards in the hallway without raising suspicion. I came as quickly as I could in order to free you both" he added apologetically.
Xander didn't lose the look of frustration on his face. It was a relief to know that this we could trust him.

"Never mind" Xander exhaled, running a hand through his hair. Do you know where Regan is?" he asked and the man hesitated, causing Xander's eyes to narrow at him.
There was something he was trying to hide from us. He wasn't doing a good job either.
"Malcolm?" my voice was dangerous.

He hesitated some more. "I know where Regan is" he admitted, ducking his head "but she's guarded at the moment, and it might not be possible to get to her. That was enough to make me and my brother glance at each other. If Malcolm was hesitant to tell us where our mate was or what condition she was in, that could only mean it was bad and that he knew we would lose control. Maybe even lose control of our wolves, if we weren't careful. "Tell us where she is" My voice was dark and brooking no arguments.
Another minute and I would be forced to use my Alpha tone. Then he would have no choice but to tell us.
He sighed, looking resigned. "Regan is out in the middle of the grounds."
So far, I hadn't heard anything I wasn't particularly expecting. Although the middle of the grounds would be open and easily visible, making it impossible not to be seen. Was that what was concerning Malcolm? My mind flashed back to the pain we had felt before, and I raised a brow at Malcolm who was beginning to eye the door up to the main part of the pack as though wondering if he should sprint right through it. I frowned. The man looked on edge, making me eye him suspiciously.
"Her condition?" I asked meaningfully, giving him no chance to move away from me or Xander.
He was our only source of information when it came to our mate right now. He was the only one who knew what was going on around the pack. He was invaluable. I'd be damned if he thought he could run away like a coward.
He blanched. "It's not good Alphas. Isabelle" he paused "Isabelle Ramona was determined to take her frustrations out on your mate, blaming her as the reason for her not becoming your chosen Luna. She is" another pause and another glance towards the door "in bad shape."
Bad shape? Was she dying? Had the pain I and Xavier felt been fatal wounds? I could feel my chest beginning to tighten in fear. If she was dying wouldn't Malcolm have said so from the beginning?
"How bad? Is she dying?" my tone was sharp and demanding answers.
He shook his head and Xander breathed a sigh of relief. "No, but Isabelle whipped her for the pack members to see and then" he bit his lip, "she collared her and left her tied up to a post."
I saw red. For a moment I struggled to draw breath I was so angry. Malcolm had just said that Isabelle had collared our mate like a dog. Xander's eyes turned dark, like black obsidian. I thought that I might have misheard Malcolm, but one glance showed that I hadn't. My hands clenched into fists. "She did what?" I snarled and before Malcolm could make a move to stop me or Xander, we turned and ran towards the stairs, bloodlust in our eyes. Isabelle Ramona had just made a serious mistake, touching our mate and she would soon learn that we would have no hesitation in taking revenge.
