Rejected Slave To The Alpha by Gory Anna

Chapter 103

Chapter 103

Chapter 103.

Nelly’s POV.

Aisha’s eyes widened as she stared at me, her face contorted in disbelief. She was frozen in place, her hands trembling as she reached out to touch me. Her fingertips brushed against my palm, and she

THE

traced the lines of my hand, searching for something – anything – that would make sense of the impossible.

“You’re sure you can’t change into your wolf?” she asked, her voice shaking.

“I’ve tried, but I can’t,” I said, my own voice quivering.

“This is trouble,” she mumbled, her gaze darting around the room as if searching for an escape.

Aisha’s back hit the wall as she took a step away from me, her hands shaking as she fumbled to regain her

composure.

“Listen to me, Nelly,” she said, her voice tight with worry. “You need to calm down and try to connect with her by any means you can. You can do it.”

I nodded and closed my eyes, willing myself to relax. I spoke a quiet prayer to the Moon Goddess. “Please help me,” I whispered. I took a deep breath, and tried to connect with Aria, but there was nothing. “Aria,” I called out in frustration, desperation creeping into me.

I was beginning to feel helpless. It felt like no matter what I did, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t reach Aria.

“Please, let me try again,I pleaded, tears forming in my eyes. Alsha reached out and put a hand on my shoulder.

“It’s okay, Nelly,” she said softly. Take a moment to breathe and gather your thoughts. Maybe if you just focus on her, you can get through.”

I took a few deep breaths, trying to calm my racing heart.

How will the people react to this? I thought, my

heart racing. What would be their response? Would they accept me as their Luna? A Luna without a wolf? I felt like I was going mad, my thoughts racing out of control. Suddenly, I couldn’t hold it in any longer. I let out a loud, piercing scream. Aisha quickly

clamped a hand over my mouth.

“What are you doing?” she hissed, her eyes wide with panic. “Do you want to bring attention to us?” She held me close, trying to soothe me. “Calm down,” she whispered.

“I can’t be calm, not in this kind of case,” I said, shaking my head as I sniffed.

I tried to steady my breathing, but it was no use. Tears streamed down my face as I clung to Aisha, my whole body shaking.

“It’s going to be okay,” Aisha repeated, but I knew she was just trying to comfort me. It felt like my whole

world was falling apart. I felt so alone, even with Aisha by my side.

“What am I going to do?” I whispered, my voice hoarse from crying.

“I don’t know,” Aisha admitted, her voice filled with sadness.

The sound of footsteps echoed through the corridor, and I tensed, trying to hide my tears. Aisha stood up, and I followed suit, wiping my eyes and trying to compose myself. A guard appeared in the hallway, his face etched with concern.

“Is everything alright?” he asked, his eyes flickering between Aisha and me. Before I could answer, Aisha spoke up

“Everything is fine, you can leave, she said, and the guard nodded, bowing slightly before turning to go. As soon as he was out of sight, I let out a deep sigh, my body still trembling.

“Come on,Aisha said, guiding me down the hall.

I leaned on her for support, my legs feeling weak and unstable, I tried to put on a brave face, but inside, I was a mess. I couldn’t stop thinking about my wolf, Aria, and how my life would be without her.

I wondered what I had done to deserve this punishment from the Moon Goddess. We reached the door of Aisha’s room, and she opened it, ushering me inside. I sank onto the bed, feeling exhausted and

defeated.

I lay there, staring at the ceiling, as a single tear slipped from my eye and trailed down my cheek. A hand

reached out and gently wiped the tear away. I turned to see Aisha beside me, her expression full of

sympathy.

“You can’t stay like this all day,” she said, her voice soft and soothing.

But I couldn’t bring myself to speak. I had never heard of a wolf leaving its owner like this. It was like Aria had just vanished into thin air. The thought of it was too much to bear. I closed my eyes, trying to

shut out the world around me.

I tried to think of what had caused Aria to leave me. My thoughts went to the drink I had taken earlier,

and I wondered if it had anything to do with it. But why would Aurora do’something like that? She had always been so kind to me. I wanted to tell Aisha about the drink, but something held me back.

Aisha hated Aurora, and I didn’t want to cause any more drama between them. I let out a frustrated

groan, my mind racing in circles. I felt like I was going insane.

“Nelly,” I heard my name being called, and I recognized the voice instantly. But it was different, there was no joy or excitement, just a soft and comforting tone. I opened my eyes to see Kex standing in front of me. I ran to him, throwing my arms around his neck and burying my head in his shoulder.

My sobs came in waves, and I could barely catch my breath. Kex held me close, stroking my hair and whispering soothing words in my ear.

It’s okay, Nelly,” he said, his voice gentle and reassuring.

It doesn’t change anything,” Kex said, his voice firm and steady. “You’re still the same Nelly, with or without a wolf.I shook my head, unable to accept his words.

“But what about your people?I sobbed. They won’t accept me without a wolf.Kex gave me a reassuring smile.

“We don’t have to tell them anything. We can keep this between us,he said, patting my back gently. “I

will always be there for you, no matter what,” he said, wiping my tears.

“I love you,” I whispered, and his words echoed back to me. “I love you more.”

As our lips met, I felt a strange emptiness, an absence of the usual rush of excitement I had come to

associate with Kex. A moment later, Aisha cleared her throat, breaking the moment between us.

“Sorry,” I mumbled sheepishly.

“No need to apologize,” Aisha said with a small smile. “But this information stays within the four walls of this room, agreed?”

She looked at Kex and me in turn, and we both nodded in understanding.

“Thank you,” I said, sniffing.

The silence was broken by a sudden knock on the door. Aisha opened it, and a guard entered, bowing his head in respect. “My Alpha,” he said, “there is a crowd of villagers outside, demanding to see you.” Aisha and I exchanged a worried glance, and I felt a knot of anxiety twist in my stomach.

What do they want?
