Chapter 87
SEBASTIAN'S POV
"Sebastian, you finally came to visit me." My father was excited to see me. But, contrary to what he thought, I was not here to visit him to check up on him.
I only came here to hear his thoughts about something. I had a massive plan to usurp Alpha Leo. My father was once Alpha Leo's head special advisor. Who was the best person to seek advice from apart from him? "How is your mother?" He asked.
Since my father got imprisoned, she had not said a word to me. She believed that I was the reason her husband got imprisoned. Well, she was not wrong. But, she did not have to say it out loud and show that it was how she felt. My mother never liked me much which was weird because I was her only child. According to her, my father pampered me too much and I got spoiled as a result. And, that I will put them into trouble one day. It was annoying to hear whenever she said so. Again, she was not wrong, but I cared less. The only thing I cared about was money and power. And, for me to rise, some people had to fall, including her mate.
"Your mate is fine. She sent her greetings," I lied and he frowned
"She did not bother to visit. You're the only one who cares about me," He said and I feigned a smile. Little wonder why he was unable to become Alpha. He could not think fast. I was the only one who cared about him? That was the joke of the year.
I cared about nobody. Not him. Not my mother. Not even the mate I rejected. At a time, I was a little obsessed with Rita, but I wanted her dead now. My hand moved to the place my right eye once was. I had to get back at her and that cruel uncle of mine. "Scars are normal," My father said. "You're not a she-wolf. You can live with a scar like that. The only thing a wolf needs to attract a she-wolf is money and not good looks."
I feigned a smile.
He smiled back and then beckoned on me to come close. I did as he told me. I was annoyed, but this was not the right time to show it. "Do you know that Tyler escaped from this place?" "Really?" I feigned surprise.
Of course, I had heard of the news. Alpha Leo could try all he could, I still had my informants in this place
Tyler, escaping baffled me though. My uncle sure had tons of enemies. Tyler could only escape if there was an insider helping him and it was definitely not me.
"So," My father continued. "I was hoping you will do same. I was hoping you will help me escape from this place."
I cocked an eyebrow. This man was delusional. He wanted me to risk my life, freedom and chance of becoming Alpha for him? That was never happening.
"I will definitely think of something. If you want me to help you out of here, I will," Hied and he grinned.
"I wanted to ask a question though," I began and he paid more attention to me. "Can an Alpha be asked to step down if his Luna is barren?"
"If a Luna is barren, her Alpha will be asked to take another mate. If he refuses to do so, he might be asked to step down, especially if he has a rival ready to take his place."
I smirked. If that was the case, it was time to pull the same trick vy pulled. She told me how she had been poisoning the Luna's womb by making sure the Luna injests matricide.

Chapter 87
Rita was pregnant now and I wanted the baby to get aborted. If that happened, I will present a case to the pack elders anonymously. I will tell them about the Luna's womb poisoning and that it had damaged her womb completely. Like my father said, Alpha Leo will be asked to take another Luna. My best bet was that he will refuse and the rest was history.
I grinned.
Who needed Ivy anyways? I was smarter.
And, in a few days, I will be Alpha.
RITA'S POV
Tyler's escape from prison had put the Alpha and I in a state of panic, but things were still going well.
The only problem now was that we don't know where Tyler was or how he escaped in the first place.
Someone knocked at the door and I had to do a double check to see who it was. When I saw it was Janice, I sighed in relief and opened the door. Before now, most of the time, whenever someone knocked, I opened the door without checking, but now that Tyler had gone missing. I checked well before opening the door. He could knock on the door and when I opened up, he could try to hurt my unborn pup and I. I did want that to happen.
Immediately Janice walked in, the first thing I noticed was the mate mark on just her neck and we both squirled, Janice was mated now. We were both marked. I could not help but admire the mark on her neck. "It's so cute," I pointed out and she smiled. "Who suggested this?" I asked and she blushed.
"Darius," She answered. "The only thing that was holding him before now was fear of the moon rage disease. Since we now have a solution, he asked if he could mark me and I consented. I finally feel like a she-wolf."
"Congratulations, my female Beta," I said playfully with my head bowed.
"Thank you, my Luna," She replied, bowing her head too and we both laughed.
"So, what agreement did you and Beta Darius come into," I asked when we got on the bed.
"After visiting tons of counsellors, we have decided to have our own pups."

"How? What about the moonrage disease?" I asked. I was happy for them, but the last thing I wanted was for their have that disease. I have witnessed someone having it and the sight was not pleasant to the eye. The little wolf had to be killed. "What do you and your mate plan to do? Whenever I get pregnant, I'll test the unborn pup. If the gene is dominant, I will have to get rid of the pregnancy until I finally get impregnated with a pup free from the disease."
My face slackened. "That's brutal."
She shrugged. "It's better than killing the child when it is already born."
I don't have much of a choice. I have to do this. I have her a warm hug and she hugged me back. "I hope you never have to get rid of a pup."
"I hope so too."
Then, I noticed how widened Janice's eyes were. I looked in the direction she was looking.
That was when I saw it. I was soaked in blood from my waist down to my legs. This meant one thing.
I fainted immediately.
