I paced up and down my cell room. Elijah told me that Sebastian was going to come here today, so where the hell was he?

I have been waiting for hours, but the son of a gun was nowhere to be found. I heard that Rita had gotten kidnapped, but had escaped and I needed to know if he had a hand in her kidnap or not. The last thing I wanted was an irresponsible kid ruining my plans. "Why won't you let me rest for once?" I recognized the voice to be Sebastian's and I immediately looked at the bars.

"Rest!" 1 scoffed. "Since I got jailed this is the first time you're visiting."

"Sorry, I should have visited every single day. When I get caught, I can tell them that I am visiting because I am involved in the plans you have for the Alpha and his Luma

I rolled my eyes. I was not ready to banter with this now. There are much more important things to take care of "I just want to know if you were the one who kidnapped Rita." "If I kidnap Rita, she will never escape," he bragged and I scoffed.

"If you were not the one who kidnapped her, who did?"

"My father's half-brother.

I cocked an eyebrow. Luke and Tyler were back? They were definitely here to take over Alpha Leo's position from him. Which one of them? Luke or Tyler. "Of course, it's Tyler. Luke is on my uncle's side.

My face lit up. Tyler was the perfect distraction.

"Why are you smiling?" Sebastian asked.

"We can do anything and they'll pay less attention to us. Little wonder my torture has reduced these days. The Alpha has something greater to worry about." Sebastian shrugged. "Well, that does not matter now! Alpha Leas giving my father his position anyways"

I laughed. "That is a big lie." The Leo I knew could never do such

"Dude is lovesick. He is doing it for his mate. He feels that her life is threatened if she remains here, so he is planning on taking her to the human world."

My blood boiled. How could he love someone he met in less than a year more than 1, someone he has known for years.

"When my father becomes Alpha," Sebastian continued. "It'll be much easier to get out of here."

I frowned. That was it? I did not put in much hard work to just get out of prison. I wanted to be Luna. I wanted power and to he in control.

"I thought you wanted to be Alpha."

"If my father becomes Alpha, it will only be a matter of time before I become one myself."

"And you think your father's half brothers will let that happen? What if you get a sibling? You know you would have to fight for that position, right? What if the child is as talented as Alpha Leo?"

Sebastian clenched fits jaw."Just stop talking," he snarled.

I smirked. It was the exact reaction I was expecting. "Careful. You will attract attention. Shouting is not something you should be doing now. Instead of lazing around, waiting for your father to transfer the Alpha title to you, you should find a way to make sure you become Alpha. Snatch the position from your father. By the end of this year, you should become Alpha." "What do you propose I do?" Sebastian asked and I smirked.

"You'll know with time. First, you have to promise me that you will make me your Luna," I said casually and Sebastian furrowed his eyebrows.

"Ew! No."

I rolled my eyes. "I feel the same way too, but all I want is the power. You can have as many other concubines as you want. I just want to be Luna. If you can promise me this, then I will make sure you become Alpha

He raised an eyebrow. "And, how are you doing that? You need my help to get out of here. What makes you think you are cut out to help me become the Alpha

Tm extremely good at scheming. You know that can help you. With me by your side, you will be Alpha in no time."

And when I become Luna, I will basically be the one who is Alpha, because I could manipulate Sebastian into doing what 1 want him to do. "Deal?"

I grinned. "Good. Now you have to get Rita kidnapped before she ruins our plans. She might try to stop Leo and we both know that if she persists, he will listen to her."

Sebastian had a smug smile on his face. "I have done that already. I kidnapped her and I planted evidence that will point toward Tyler'

I cocked an eyebrow. "Really?"

'Of course. I'm not done with her yet. Why should 1 let her leave for the human world just like that? I'm planning on torturing her and selling her off afterwards."

RITA'S POV

"Let me go," I mumbled, but my words were barely voiced out, because my mouth was taped. Everywhere was pitch black and I could barely see anything. I could only feel my hands tied up behind my back.

I made as much noise as I could, kicked, struggled to break myself free from the knots, but everything proved negative.

I was stuck here and there seemed to be no way of getting out of here

Then, I heard the door open and I heard someone walking toward me.

"Your name is Rita right?"

The voice was like that of a burly and hefty man. I was not trying to be stereotypical, but his voice was like thunder- deep and rumbly.

It scared me, but my blood boiled. I was angry at how he called my name. I was Alphia Leo's mate. I was Luna and he knew it.

"I can call you Rita, right?" He cackled. "I mean, your mate will be giving up his position soon. Just like a coward will."

"My mate is no coward Frumbled, but my words ended up as just murmurs,

"And, I was sent to do this. Immediately, he struck me across the face and I fell to the ground. And, I was right about him being burly. His hand was bigger than my face. Dakota growled.

She tried to surface, but the ropes I was tied with were not just ropes. It was almost impossible to shift and break free when tied with these ropes,

He just laid on the ground. I almost broke into tears, but I controlled myself. I refuse to let him or anyone see me cry.

"I would come back for you. And, guess what, you will never see your mate again. He announced and then left the room.

My tears broke free at that moment,

Alpha Leo was going to give up his pack for me, but now, he seemed like he was going to lose me too.

I tried to sit up straight.

I had to leave this place and not just that. I had to stop Alpha Leo from giving up his pack.

"The Transfer of Power Ceremony is about to begin."

This meant two things. I was either around the mansion or I was inside the mansion. Either way, I had to get out of this room fast.

If Tyler was the one who kidnapped me. How did he have access to the mansion? Or, was my kidnapper someone else?

I struggled to break myself free from the rope, but my efforts were futile.

My heart left my chest when the opening declaration began.

"Alpha Leo, repeat after me," the priest began. "By the ancient laws and traditions of our realm, I, Alpha Leo Salvatore, Alpha

of Noctus Umbra Pack"

I froze.

It was finished. In less than a minute, Sebastian's father will become the Alpha.

Then, the door swung open.
