Rejected By Him Claimed By His Uncle (Rita and Leo)

Chapter His Uncle 119

Chapter 119

ELAINA'S POV

Did I feel bad? Of course

I did not realize how sc

Emma was until I got home. I had shot two

wolves.

"Cserved it.

We dropped Lucy and Claire in their pack. Luckily, their Alpha and Luna were good friends of Rita's; according to her, they could be trusted. Plus, we made sure that their step mother got punished for trying to sell them off. When we finally got to Alpha Atlas's mansion, we got greeted by a welcome party for Emma.

I was all smiles and it felt like we were one big family. I liked the feeling.

Aunt Freya rushed over to Emma and hugged her. Leo took over and lifted her up. A smile crossed my face as I watched how Emma easily related to everyone. They were her family now and a smile crossed my face.

"Where is Zara?" I asked myself. If she really had no hand in kidnapping Emma, then she would have at least been present in this welcome party. I excused myself and left for her room.

When I got there, she was nowhere to be found. I noticed that she had taken some of her clothes with her too.

I searched every nook and cranny for her, but the search was unsuccessful. Zara had left. She left the mansion. That meant one thing. She really had a hand in Emma's kidnapping.

I clenched my fists. We should have at least spared one of the kidnappers, but that would have been too risky for the girls, especially if the warriors could not even enter the room at that time.

I went back to the party and I informed Rita of the new development.

She made a few calls and when she was done she turned to me and said: "We will find her. Just sit back and enjoy the party."

With how excited Emma was, it was not hard to do what the former Luna wanted me to do. Emma kept on gushing over how beautiful her whole banner was. Her favorite foods were prepared and even a slideshow of pictures that she got during the short period of time she has spent here was put up.

My heart warmed at the amount of acceptance Emma was receiving from these people. From Alpha Atlas, to his parents and then to Aunt Freya. It was like Emma was the Alpha's child. Atlas treated her like his child and his parents treated her like a granddaughter. "Mom." Emma hugged me and my heart warmed up. With how much my heart has warmed up, I was beginning to fear that it would get burnt.

"I knew you would come and you did. Thank you for being the best mom ever." She hugged me and I just could not hold back my tears. I drew her closer to myself, grateful that I was able to find my daughter.

The next few hours were fun packed. We played games, threw random questions at each other, sang and even danced.

For the first time in a long time, I felt like I was finally home. The pack has always felt like home. But, the feeling I had now was different. I felt like I had a family to turn to whenever things were hard.

But, I doubted that was actually the case. A few days from now, things will go back to normal. Deep down, I wanted things to remain this way. I wanted something like this at least again. The party finally ended.

Rita and Leo, our power couple, left so they could spend

I stayed back to help with tidying up the place the party was held in. Emma did the same and Alpha Atlas remained around

too.

"Alpha Atlas, can you please help us?" Emma asked and my eyes widened.

"You can't ask an Alpha to help you with stuff like this," I said and she shrugged.

"He was at the party with us. What's wrong if he helps us clean up?"

I was expecting Alpha Atlas to frown or something, but he flashed her a smile and joined us in tidying up the place.

The maids present began to whisper amongst themselves and I shared in their surprise too. The level of familiarity Emma had with the Alpha and his family was just on another level.

Whenever I found something hard to do, Emma would beckon on Atlas to help. It did not take long for me to realize that she was playing matchmaker for the both of us. And, as much as I found it cute. I could not help, but feel a little bit annoyed.

Who told her that I was interested in starting something with the Alpha? Contrarily, I would love to avoid him. First, he was not interested in me. Two, I was not ready to be viewed under the judging eyes of most of the members of this pack.

"I just remembered that Aunt Freya asked me to bring her something." Emma said and then she bade us goodbye.

I asked her to stay back and that I will take myself. Apart from the fact that I did not want to be left alone with the Alpha, I was still scared of leaving Emma to walk alone in this mansion. I knew how I felt when she got missing. I was not ready to experience such feelings. "Darling, you can just follow me." Of course, Aunt Freya was here to pick her up. I frowned. The second reason I wanted Emma to be with me was because I did not want to be alone with this Alpha.

I expected him to leave immediately Emma left, but he remained with me.

Why are you still here? I wanted to ask, but I just couldn't ask him.

"You did a great job," he began. I gave him a small smile and went back to what I was doing.

"I really like your smile," He gave me another compliment and my heart did a somersault. I hated my reaction to his compliments, but I could not control my feelings.

Then, he took my hands next and placed them in his. "Elaina, I also want to use this opportunity to apologize properly."

Our eyes locked.

"I'm sorry for your much I have hurt you," Atlas said. He gave my hand a small squeeze and without realizing it, I drew closer to him.

He drew close too.

Darn it. That little she-wolf's plan was working, but now I did not really care much. Whatever shall be shall be.

My eyes went down to his lips and I brought my lips closer to his.

He did the same and then our foreheads touched.

When our lips were about to do the same, he pushed me away.

Again.
