Chapter 153
Rygan was having a problem lately. Yes, Everything was going good, yet he couldn’t help but feel unsettled, especially when it felt like an eternity since he’d seen his mate.
He might be exaggerating a bit on the not-seeing part, but it was because he and Elise had been so busy that he could barely concentrate these days, especially with the rebuilling and anticipation of the four packs; they were very busy running back and forth to the four packs.
But all the more he missed his mate; most of the time they met for a few minutes in their shared bedroom, either he was about to leave or she was. It was quite torturous for the alpha, as they only had a short time to talk or for quickies throughout the whole ordeal.
With short kisses through the hallway and sleepy sex because of how tired they were, a sacrifice they both had to make to rebuild the new pack that they would lead, but he missed her taste on his tongue. F**k, he missed her, his mate.
It had been a month now, and he felt like he was going mad. He was pulled out of his thoughts by the bounce of a ball to his chest, and he looked out to see the culprit was none other than his son who giggled from his antics.
After they conquered the Night Pack and formed peace with the other pack to merge, Elise instructed Ethan to be brought to the Black Moon Pack. But Rygan had insisted bringing his own son back, which he did.
The people were immediately enamored with him as they all saw the uncanny resemblance with their alpha, and Ethan immediately took a liking to the pack, who all adored him and treated him like the prince he was.
There were times when he would ask for Kayla; even with what he’d been through, he was still worried for the little girl who now lived with her grandmother Adeline; the elder was removed from her official title as an elder for her daughter’s crime, and she was now living a quiet life with Kayla.
But the bond between Rygan and his son had grown stronger with each day; the alpha felt blessed to have both his mate and child by his side, one he would never take for granted.
“Haha, you weren’t looking; I won, Dad!” He screamed happily. And Rygan couldn’t help but smile. Yes, his daydream had caused him a point in the Ethan, but he loved seeing his little boy smile.
“You got me good,” he called with his arms up in surrender.
“Never did I think I’d see the day that Rygan Andras gets wh**ed by a three-year-old, but what are the odds?” Tazmin’s voice echoed from the door of the courtyard as the beta commander grinned sheepishly at his friend and alpha.
“Still, you can’t win against me,” he teased back at Taz, who pushed himself off the wall, giving his friend and alpha a middle finger before handing out papers for Rygan to look over. “It’s the blueprints for the moon city, the progress of us moving smoothly,” he called, handing over the paper.
Tazmin had just been back from the moon city, a place after much consideration was chosen as the new capital for the true new pack from a unanimous agreement, and in a few months, they’d all move there.
“Hey kiddo,” Taz muttered as he kneeled to Ethan’s eye level and gave him an affectionate pat on the head.
“Hi Uncle Taz.”
“You may not believe this, but I brought a little something from my travels for you-candy from the south, the best in the market,” he tells Ethan, whose eyes widen with gleaming excitement.
“No way! Thank you, Uncle Taz!”
“You best go freshen up before I eat them,” he calls with a wink. They both watch his little legs go as Hana, who is waiting by the door, grabs his hand. “Let’s go, Hana, candy, candy!” He called as she pulled her into the moon house..
“Now what’s got your pants up in a twist?”
“Huh,” Rygan calls absentmindedly as his friend punches his arm.
“I know you; what’s wrong? You seemed pretty out of it, what? Are you waiting for your mate to pull you out of your misery?” He called as Rygan snarled at his friend. But then it immediately clicks to the beta on why the alpha seemed so grumpy,
“no way… Vienna is going to laugh so hard here. I tell her the most powerful beast in the realm is sulking because he misses his mate. Don’t worry, she will be back from the Calhan Pack soon,” he snickered to Rygan, who raised his middle finger, causing the beta to erupt in another fit of laughter.
“My mate has been too busy; she barely rests, and we… barely see each other; she wants to shoulder everything. I know we have our responsibilities, but I can’t help it; my wolf has been more needy these days.”
“It happens to the best of us; I missed Vienna even though it was just a few days, and I can’t wait to see her, so you both should talk it out.”
Their talk in the courtyard was cut short when Bellamy ran in; her eyes panicked as both males were already alert. As their gazes were stern, “Where do I sit? An attack?
“An accident? Is it the rogues?” They both questioned Bellamy as she tried to catch her breath before she shook her head.
“No, no, it’s worse; it’s Vienna; her water broke, and she has gone into labor,” Bellamy says quickly. Rygan barely had time to react as Taz raced out of the courtyard to the clinic, with Rygan behind him.
As they get inside, Rygan is shocked to see Elise was there, having no idea when she arrived. He studied with his mate, who had dark circles under her eyes, but she was more worried about her friend. “El, when did you get here?” Rygan called in disbelief.
“I just got here, one moment we were talking, and then-Vienna, it’s ok,” she muttered to her friend, who had grabbed Tazmin’s hand and Elise in her other hand. The healer screamed as she began to push the baby out.
“Come on, baby, you can do it,” Tazmins encouraged with another scream as Elise and everyone else held

“Come on, baby, you can do it,” Tazmins encouraged with a kiss to her sweaty forehead. Vienna pushed on with another scream as Elise and everyone else held their breath.
