Regal Guard of Dragon

Chapter 830 To Save Them

Seeing that Finn didn't respond, Cruz added, "Wouldn't you hate me if I let you go? I don't think I can beat a strong Martial Artist."

"So, I have to leave you here even if I can't succeed.”

It made sense. Even if the number of men being Martial Artists had been set, Finn and Sienna had born grudges against Cruz. Finn didn't think Sienna would let Cruz go if he let go of her.

"But don't worry. You won't die now."

Finn looked at him, wondering what he was trying to do.

Cruz walked over to Sienna, touching her face with a lustful smile. "What a beautiful girl. Why do you learn martial arts? Even so, you look so tender and kind that you make people want to flirt with you.” Sienna didn't even have the strength to get rid of him, so she could look at him coldly.

"Oh, don't look at me so coldly. I am most afraid of a beauty looking at me like this."

He pretended to look scare, but then he slapped Sienna in the face. In a while, there was a red mark on Sienna's face and blood on the corner of her mouth.

"Be good! B**ch!" cursed Cruz. "Take them both away."

As he said this, two men came up and carried Finn and Sienna away. They were then taken to a basement on the ground floor where Finn and Sienna were held separately. In the dark, they could hear rats.

And in some corner, there was watering ticking, as if counting their time.

"Are you all right?" Finn's voice was weak.

"Yes." so was Sienna's voice.

The poison made them incapacitated, but they remained conscious. "Will you recover?" Finn asked. That was the hope of escape, but Finn didn't entertain hopes.

"I don't think so."

Sure enough, Finn's hope faded.

There was no voice in the dungeon, and both of them were now desperate, hoping for nothing but a miracle.

After a long time they got sleepy by the sound of the rhythm of the ticking water.

Finn was awakened by the sound of approaching footsteps.

He waited for the man to come, expecting it to be Cruz, but it turned out to be someone else.

"I have come to save you."

Finn tried to look up, but in the darkness, he couldn't see the other person's face, and he didn't recognize his voice.

"Who are you?" asked Finn warily.

"Don't mind that. You just need to know that I'm here to save you," whispered the man.

"How can we trust you?" Finn questioned.

"What choice do you think you have but to trust me? You want to die here?"

Finn stopped talking.

Then the man added, "I can't take you out now. They're guarding outside. I'll come back next time. Don't try anything they give you, including water. Go through the hard time and when you recover some strength, I can take you."

It was not clear what he was up to, but Finn had no other choice.

"Fine! We'll wait for you.”

Before Finn could finish, the soft footsteps disappeared into the distance.

"Can we trust him?" When the man left, Finn asked Sienna.

HER!

He didn't expect Sienna to say so positively.

"Why?"

"I could perceive that he's familiar with me, but I didn't see his face.” Finn was surprised. Sienna was a Martial Artist. She was arrested just like him, but she was better than him.

Just as the mysterious man had said, food and water were brought to them at a certain time.

But maybe the guy didn't know that they were both forced to eat and drink when they were too weak to resist.

And they would not recover as he said.

If so, even if the man came again, he might not be able to take them out.

There was nothing Finn could do with the desperate situation.

In two days, the man had come.

But to Finn's surprise, several days had passed, but Cruz didn't come to see them, nor did he order to kill them, as if he had forgotten them. Finn thought it was his luck. If he could escape, he would definitely come back for revenge as Cruz said.

The familiar sound of footsteps sounded.

Then, a low sound whispered. "Can you stand up now?" the man asked. Finn said, "No."

"How is it possible? If you stopped taking their poison, you should regain some strength,” the man said in surprise.

But he soon knew why.

"You didn't listen to me and ate the food they gave you?"

He seemed angry, and Finn knew he would be angry, but there was nothing they could do about it.

"We ate it, but we were force to do so, and we didn't have strength to resist,” explained Finn.

The man figured it out, and he also felt helpless.

"I didn't think of it. It seems that I have to steal the antidote to get you out."

"Can you?" Finn looked forward to it.

The man replied, "Although I can steal the antidote, I don't have much time left for you. The monk will find you in a couple of days, and I can't save you before then.”

Finn could feel how helpless the man was. The man might really want to save them, but that was beyond his reach.

"That's all right,” Sienna interjected.

"I can try again,” the man said.

"It would be just as dangerous for you. I appreciate your kindness. And, I've always felt we know each other. Have we met before?" asked Sienna.

After a long pause, Sienna didn't get any answer. And Finn thought he had left.

"We met once, but you probably don't remember me," said the man with sadness, and with determination.

"I'm still going to try to get you out.”

With that, Finn heard the footsteps departing further away.
