Regal Guard of Dragon

Chapter 803 The Stones

Finn wondered what they had found.

Finn had reached the great level, and he had taken light of mundane matters. So, if they didn't come up with something that would impress Finn, the bet wouldn't go ahead.

But looking at the fat man who was smiling, it seemed that they were very confident about what they would offer.

"Well, I'm a very picky person. When I drink, I only drink what I think is good. Otherwise, even if Lafite in '82 won't satisfy me."

"Of course. We've heard about Mr. Chen's likes and dislikes early on, and your delicate attitude towards life is beyond compare.”

"So what are you going to bet on?" Finn asked again.

"Don't worry, Mr. Chen. It's on its way. It'll be here soon."

Speak of the devil. The door of the inner room was opened, and three fellows came in carrying a great trunk.

"What's it?"

"What's that big?”

Finn and Davin were curious about what was inside.

But the fat man didn't answer directly. He made eye contact with Luon, then walked over to the crate that had been placed a few feet away from them.

When he reached the crate, he dismissed the men who were carrying it, and pulled a small golden key from his pocket.

Finn looked closely and found that the keyhole on the crate was also made of gold.

The fat man put the key into the keyhole and gently twisted it, then came a tinny sound, and the golden lock was opened.

But just as he was about to open it, the fat man stopped his movements, turned back and said to Finn, "Mr. Chen, what's in here is extraordinary.”

Finn, a little impatient, wanted to open the crate himself.

Then the fat man slowly opened the lid of the crate.

Finn was sitting right opposite the crate, so he could see what was inside without even standing up.

He thought it would be something extraordinary, but found a stone. "A stone?"

He looked at the fat man, then back at Luon.

What the hell were these guys doing, he wondered.

Luon could see Finn's doubt and answered, "It's a stone, but it is no ordinary stone.”

Finn remained silent. He didn't know what it was, so he didn't make any comment.

Luon went on to explain. "Our pursuit is to be Martial Artist. Just like the book of The True Solution I bet with you, the stone is to further improve our martial arts skills.”

"You have gotten The True Solution, but you haven't made any breakthrough to be a Martial Artist. So, I think you must have entered a bottleneck.”

Finn was stunned to be seen through by Luon.

After he got The True Solution, he dedicated himself into studying it. After reading it, he knew a lot, which also enabled him to integrate in many places and achieve a thorough understanding.

But as Luon said, he had entered a bottleneck. He wondered if he had done it wrong from the start.

Although Finn was stunned, he remained composed.

"Mr. Wang is indeed a mighty Leader. Your few words are worth my years of penance. But what that has to do with the stone in the crate?” Luon laughed at Finn's compliment.

“I have said that this is not an ordinary stone. There are four great stones in the world, Emerald, Pine, Amber, Taoware. and as long as you get one, you can greatly improve your skills."

"Isn't that a legend?" Not waiting for Luon to finish, Davin interrupted. "Did you really get the four stones? How is this possible?”

But no one paid any attention to Davin.

Finn, Of course, had heard the legend of the four great stones, but that was just a legend. No one would believe it was true.

But judging from what Luon had said, he seemed to think it was true. Finn remained skeptical and said, "It's not that I don't believe Mr. Wang, but it sounds like a joke. I can't put out The True Solution just based on your words. That is a great book of the Martial Artist."

"It makes sense that you don't believe it," Luon was still smiling.

"But you might check for yourself to see if this stone is one of the great stones. If you still do not believe, then the bet will become invalid.” Luon was very confident. Finn wonder whether it was really one of the legendary stones.

Unsure, he stood up, ready to see the stone for himself.

As Finn came over, the fat man got out of the way.

The stone in the crate looked like an abandoned stone in a damp corner, and the green marks on it seemed like a layer of moss. However, the whole stone was cyan, resemble a transparent treasure jade.

It was very big, taking up almost half the size of the crate.

But Finn couldn't tell what was so mysterious about it. It seemed to be just like any other stone, except that its color was pretty.

He looked up at the fat man standing beside him.

"Mr. Chen, you might as well feel it with your hands," said the fat man. Finn then rolled up his sleeves and reached into the crate.

But before he had even touched the stone, he felt a cold breath, as if he were reaching out to a block of ice.

That was not possible.

Finn instantly thought it strange.

But after a double check, it was indeed cold, and the coldness was coming from the stone.

They did something with the stone.

Finn was still unconvinced and looked at the fat man again.

But the fat man looked composed.

His hand was very close to the stone, and he got used to the chill. He really wanted to see what the stone could do for his practice.

But before he could reach the stone, he gave up.

It wasn't that he didn't want to touch it, nor did he think it was a joke. It was that the moment he touched the stone, his mind was disturbed.

It was as if he had lost his mind, and it took him a long time to recover. When he was sober and looked again at the stone, all doubts were gone.

This was no ordinary stone at all.

"Now, Mr. Chen, you believe this is the legendary stone,” laughed the fat man.
