Chapter 3: III

Roy woods- How I Feel

Beau was conflicted as to why he kissed her he couldn't help himself. Before he could even process what happened he was already leaning back into his seat watching her retreating figure walk off. He didn't know what came over him, he didn't mean to over step his boundaries with his action. He wanted to so badly touch her skin even if it was a slight brush he wouldn't mind she was intoxicating.

The smell of Vanilla consumed his nostrils it was all over his car. He ran a hand through his hair hoping she didn't feel uncomfortable that was the last thing he wanted her to feel.

Haven woke up with butterflies still floating in her stomach. She continued to reminisce the touch of his gentle lips on her forehand. She didn't exactly know how to feel about the kiss he shared which made her worry. She couldn't say she hated it because it was slightly comforting.

She had five more minutes until her alarm went off, but instead of getting up she decided to lay there with Beau embedded in her mind. She layed there thinking as to why he would kiss her she never gave him a reason to. Maybe she was over thinking a little action that would end up to be nothing.

After coming up blank she got up doing her hygiene, get dressed for the day, and adding light makeup. She came down to be greeted by no one. She simply sighed making breakfast that consisted of waffles. While she was eating she got a message from Alexis. 'Not coming to school sick sorry'

The nearest bus stop was five minutes away so she decided to pack all of her things and walk out the front door locking it in the process. She was at least two minutes into her walk when she felt a presences of a car slowing down beside her. She turned around and recognized the black slick car with tinted windows immediately.

She started to feel her heart beat quicken, and the thought of yesterday came into her mind. She could already feel her palms start to moist with sweat. Beau rolled down his windows giving her a smirk with amusement in his eyes loving the sight of her.

"Yes" Haven didn't mean to come off rude but wanted to sound as calm as possible as if she wasn't thinking about him less then an hour ago. "Good morning" His husky voice came out. Haven loved his voice it was so rich, and satisfying to hear, she just couldn't understand the look he was giving her it made her feel self conscious. He then started to pick up on this.

"Would you like a ride to school?" She simply shook her head no not wanting to be a nuisance even though he asked. Her eyes dotted to his plump lips wondering if he would kiss her again not that she would mind.

"Why don't you ever accept my rides Haven? I feel slightly offended" He said sarcastically holding up his hand to his heart having hurt expression. But deep down it did hurt to know she felt uncomfortable to be near him, or so he thought.

After complementing her options she thought about how she really didn't want to ride the bus, so without a word she stepped closer opening the door putting on her seat belt.

He started to drive with one hand on the wheel leaned back as usual sneaking glances every so often with Haven staring out the window.

The ride was deadly silent the only things you could hear were honking, and tiers screeching every so often. A red light came and he took this opportunity to look at her.

"Are you okay?" He asked frowning his eyebrows, he was worried about her.

"I'm fine" Haven said keeping her attention to the window.

She began to bite her lip out of nervousness. Beau's mind was soon consumed with sinful thoughts making his breath hitch. The light turned green putting his thoughts at pause, as he resumed his ride to school. He pulled up to the school parking his car coming out to open the door before she could.

"Thank you" She said giving a small smile coming out standing at her height of 5'8 looking up to his full height of 6'2. His grey eyes were piercing into her brown ones, they stood there watching each other until she broke contact.

She turned her head to the school quietly whispering "We should get to class" Beau simply nodding his head following behind her, letting his eyes roam her curves. As they entered school Beau could feel the hatred looks towards Haven. He knew a portion of the girls had a thing for him but his eyes were only on her.

He noticed that Haven was oblivious to stares that were coming her way. Without a word they went in different directions taking their seats waiting for class to start.

The sinful thoughts returned to his mind while he was watching her taking in small doses of her beauty. He somewhat felt bad for the uninnocent thoughts, but not enough to hate himself for it.

Again he was leaned against his car hoping this time she wouldn't try decline his offer like this morning.

He was to into his phone he couldn't sense haven's presence. She stood there analyzing his pink plump lips that she desperately wanted to feel against her skin.

She then realized it was a bit weird to keep staring so she cleared her throat to gain his attention. His eyes set on her making her feel something in the pit of her stomach.

"Your not going to let me walk are you?" Haven asked already knowing the answer.

"No" he opened the door for her. "Thank you" he walk to the drivers side getting in putting on his seat belt. It was comfortable silence this time which Haven was thankful for. The feeling in the pit of her stomach was still there bothering her, and she knew cause of it.

Beau spoke breaking the silence."I wanted to say sorry for the kiss yesterday I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable" Haven couldn't tell if he was really apologizing by the tone of his voice it sounded like he was only saying it to make her feel comfortable. In the back of haven's mind she knew he didn't regret kissing her.

"It's was very comforting to be honest" She whispered surprising herself and Beau. That made a small smile appear on his face, but quickly hid it not wanting her to see how giddy he felt by a little sentence that meant alot to him. "Was it now?" He voice suddenly became deeper making Haven feel different. "Yes" She said sounding quiet as a mouse that Beau almost missed it.

Making a sharp turn they stop infront of her house. He turned to look at her and Haven could tell his stare seemed more intense then the other ones. "Thank you for the ride" She said gripping her bag. "You don't have to thank me every time" He said frowning his brows. "Sorry" She said looking down smiling.

She soon felt his fingers grip her chin lightly making her look at him. Not being able to hold his piecing eyes any longer, her eyes fled to the window. Leaning in closer to where she could smell his minty breath he wanted her to look at him, but he could tell she was refusing that option.

"Look at me" her heart beat raised where even Beau could hear it. She then looked up to him, he continued to lean in closer where she thought he was going to kiss her but instead his soft lips landed on her cheek where he let his lips linger there longer then needed.

She was frozen as her eyes where still closed, he leaned back into his seat slowly never taking his eyes off of her.

She felt like she forgot how to speak she took a gulp. "What was that for?" She asked after she found her voice.

He squinted his eyes at her. "What do you think that was for?" He wanted to hear her thoughts first. She didn't answer she looked generally confused.

"I should get inside good night Beau" She said unlocking the door walking out not looking back as she made it to her front door steeping inside. She pressed her back against the door where she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding in so long.

"Are you ok princess?" She jumped turning her head looking at her father who was giving her a funny look.

She let out an awkward laugh. "Yha sorry I'm going to get ready for dinner" She said giving her father a kiss on the cheek running up the steps to her room.00000000
