Chapter 109 Determined to Take Revenge
Chapter 109 Determined to Take Revenge
Avery was completely disheartened. She had thought that Jacob wouldn't be so heartless even if he was not a good person. But now she realized that she didn't know him at all.
"Bella, you know what? On the day my father had an accident, I was at home preparing food because it was Jacob's birthday..." Isabella handed her a few tissue papers to wipe her tears, but her tears kept running down her face, quickly wetting the tissues.
"Jacob never celebrates his birthday because he shares the same birthday with his sister. Every time it's their birthday, his mood is not good. In order to cheer him up, I tried my best. I remember clearly that I prepared a lot that day, but he didn't come back. Instead, I received the news of my father's accident and critical condition."
Avery held her chest, crying and gasping for breath. "I once thought that if our doomed fate had to be resolved with death, I would rather die. But now I regret it. Why is the one who's going to die me and not him? Why did I get a terminal illness? Why is it so unfair?"
"Avy, calm down first. Just because he appeared at the scene doesn't mean he planned the accident. Who sent you the message? What if it's someone with ulterior motives?"
"This is a detective I especially hired to investigate my father's case. I have no grudges with him, so why would he scheme against me? It was his sister's birthday that day, so he wanted it to be the anniversary of my father's death! Maybe he didn't expect it to be delayed for so long, and my father managed to survive."
Avery forced a bitter smile. "I used to think that he spared the Adams family because of me. Maybe at some point, he even wanted to kill me. Oh right, my child!"
"He must have intentionally not saved me. My father didn't die, so he wanted me and my child to pay for his sister's life."
Isabella hugged Avery. "Avy, don't suddenly come up with conspiracy theories. I'm getting chills on my back now. Jacob loved you so much. No matter what happened, he would never want to kill you." "Bella, you're right. What do I owe him? Why should I sympathize with him for losing his sister and turning into this? Aren't I the most miserable one? I lost my father, my child, and the home I relied on to survive. I let Layla trample on me again and again, let her pour egg liquid on my head, and kneel before her. Why did all this happen?"
Avery overturned her previous understanding, her expression becoming extremely crazy.
"He thinks he's superior, able to control the life and death of others, right? I want to see if he can control my life and death!"
Isabella looked at Avery's crazy expression and felt a chill in her heart. "Avy, don't be like this. I'm scared..."
"Bella, I will get it back. Layla and Jacob owe me, and I will make them pay for their actions! Baby, it must be you in heaven who let me know the truth, right?"
Avery was like a soulless doll, walking step by step towards the bathroom, murmuring, "After I take revenge for you, I will go accompany you. Wait a bit longer. Mommy will come soon."
Suddenly, Avery stopped, turned back to look at Isabella, and said with a cold voice, "Bella, Layla did all those terrible things. Why did my child die but hers is still alive..."
