Reclaiming My Broken Luna (Astrid and Killian)

Chapter 140: Unwanted Mistress

Giselle's POV

Things have been well inside the Pack ever since Astrid had stopped making trouble for us. Until now, she's still busy at the Shadowfang Pack, and I had no idea when she's planning to leave and what she is currently thinking. Until now, I have been waiting for the news of her leaving the Shadowfang Pack so I can be ready. I know that as soon as Astrid leaves that place, Killian will rush to see her.

That's why I had to know so I could stop them from meeting or so that I could be there when they meet.

Even though I made sure to hide my traces properly, I knew that Astrid would blame me for the accident that happened to her.

I'm sure right now she already knows that I was involved in her accident. Drystan must have informed her by the time she woke up about how I lied and that I never met her.

I'm sure that would bring suspicions to them.

Still, I wasn't afraid of being blamed for what I did. They can hate me if they want. The feeling is mutual. Even if they have the Shadowfang Pack behind their backs, I will never back down against Astrid.

Astrid only knows how to butter someone up. I wonder how long she could curry the Alpha of the Shadowfang Pack's favor.

Just like what happened to her and Killian, I'm sure she wouldn't last long. Sooner or later, she would lose the favor of the Shadowfang Pack's Alpha.

The Shadowfang Pack won't always be there to back her up, especially with the rumors going around that she was having an affair with the Alpha.

I'm just waiting for the Alpha of the Shadowfang Pack to push her away from his Pack in order to shut out the rumors that were ruining their prestigious reputation.

I smiled at myself in the mirror while I was carefully brushing my hair. Now that I am pregnant, I have to take care of myself more and also maintain my beauty.

Just like what they say, the mistress must always be better than the first wife. Killian will only like me if I am good enough for him.

I froze and almost jumped out of my seat in shock when the doors to my bedroom suddenly barged open. An omega stumbled in, chest heaving as if she had just run a great distance.

I narrowed my gaze at the omega who startled me through the mirror in front of me.

"Forgive me, my Luna," the omega gasped as she lowered her head before me. "I bring urgent news from the Emberwood Pack."

Furrowing my brow, I placed my hairbrush on my table and calmly rose to my feet. "Is this about Alpha Killian?" I asked her, my voice sharpening with authority.

Killian had just left yesterday to lead the relief support that our Pack would be providing for the Emberwood Pack.

I have no idea why he is insisting on personally supervising a task like that when he could just ask Beta Ryder to do it instead.

I swallowed hard, fearing that something bad had happened to him along the way.

Long-distance travel is dangerous, especially if you are carrying a lot of important materials. Rogues always lurk around the forest like bandits, waiting to have their next victim.

The omega took a steadying breath. "Luna... I received the report that Astrid was also staying at Emberwood Pack."

My eyes widened as a horrified expression crossed my face. "What?!" I blurted out in anger.

I clenched my fists tightly and gritted my teeth. That woman! She's really making ways to give me trouble and take Killian away from me.

I thought after the accident, she would have already learned her lesson, but until now, she's still going between me and Killian.

"I also received a report that Alpha Killian and Miss Astrid talk to each other a lot. It seems like they are growing close."

I let out a deep breath as my nose fumed in anger. I couldn't believe that Killian would do something like this behind my back.

Now, it's no wonder why he insisted on handling such a stupid task. It turns out he only went there to have closure with his ex-wife. "Pack my clothes and gather a team of warriors. We are going to the Emberwood Pack now," I ordered with an unyielding expression.

My attendants didn't have to be told

twice. As soon as they received my command, they went on working while + turned to change my clothes into something that suits long travels.

Killian has brought me nothing but humiliation. I'm already pregnant with his son, and we are already engaged in a marriage, yet he is out there meeting with his ex-wife.

What would people think if they

heard or saw this? This won't bring him any humiliation at all. I would be the one who would look pathetic and stupid for being pregnant and engaged to a man who still yearns for his ex-wife.

To be honest, I couldn't care less about my reputation as long as I became the Silvermoon Pack's Luna.

What I am more worried about is whether the two gain closure and reconcile because of this matter.

Astrid, last time, I failed to dispose of you for good. Now, I will make sure that you won't be lucky enough to escape me again.
