Chapter 128
A kind-looking priest about 50 years old with a Bible in his hand, Sergio Holmes, went on the stage in front of Carlos and Mikayla. "Are you two ready?" Carlos and Mikayla looked at each other and nodded.
"Ms. Mikayla Salvatore, do you take this man next to you for your lawful husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, to love him, care for him, honor him, accept him, and remain faithful to him until death do you part?" asked Sergio.
'Will I remain faithful until death do us part?' Mikayla mused. She pursed her lips and enunciated, "I do."
"Mr. Carlos Ludwig, do you take this ma'am next to you for your lawful wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, to love her, care for her, honor her, accept her, and remain faithful to her until death do you part?" asked Sergio.
Carlos replied firmly in a deep voice, "I do."
"You may exchange your wedding rings," said Sergio. Kashton and Juliet walked onto the stage and handed Carlos and Mikayla the rings. The two put the rings on each other's fingers.
'Fortunately, it is the design Carlos showed me last time. Otherwise, given his style today, he might prepare a huge diamond ring or something like that,' Mikayla thought.
"Great! In the sight of God and these witnesses, I now pronounce you husband and wife! You may now kiss!" Sergio announced. As soon as his words fell, the hall was in an uproar. Everyone seemed to be looking forward to the next scene.
Carlos watched Mikayla as she lowered her head and blushed under the wedding veil. He slowly lifted the veil, revealing the shy smile on her exquisite face. Carlos lowered his head and kissed Mikayla's lips. Despite the noisy scene, it seemed that they could only see each other and hear each other's heartbeats.
Amid everyone's exclamations, colorful flower petals suddenly rained down and were blown in the wind, enveloping the happy people. After the ceremony was completed, the guests proceeded to a grand hotel downtown and were seated at the prepared banquet.
Mikayla anxiously changed her gown again. This was a champagne-colored evening gown, simpler than the previous two but still elegant.
Carlos, Mikayla, and their families toasted the guests at each table. Mikayla glanced around the banquet hall and thought, 'We will not need to eat after all this drinking. How many people exactly were invited?' After one round of toasts, Mikayla and the others were exhausted. Only Carlos was still strong.
During this period, some guests grabbed Carlos for a chat. But whenever he had time, he would check on Mikayla with concern. The two families' parents and Carlos were in charge of attending to the guests. On the other hand, Mikayla hardly had time to greet the guests because she spent most of her time changing gowns. Throughout the entire wedding, she had lost count of how many gowns she had changed. Anyway, she was a little dizzy.
After the banquet on the top floor of the hotel, Mikayla changed into a red evening gown and tied up her hair, leaving only a few curls around her temples. In the deep of night, she looked sexy and enchanting with a trace of mysterious beauty.
When all the guests were about to leave, a white helicopter flew in their direction and slowed down as it got closer to them. Flower petals suddenly rained down from the sky, adding a touch of romance to the charming evening.
Carlos took Mikayla's hand and strode over. The figure in black and the figure in red disappeared in front of everyone along with the flower petals. Their wedding night had just begun.
After the helicopter took them away, colorful, spectacular fireworks bloomed in the sky. Countless heart-shaped fireworks left traces of love in the air. The grand wedding of Carlos and Mikayla officially came to an end.

Inside the helicopter, Mikayla watched the guests getting farther away from them and the fireworks blooming in the sky. Their wedding was finally over.
Once Mikayla relaxed, fatigue washed over her. She leaned in Carlos' arms tiredly, overlooking the colorful night scene and neon lights of Xosa.
"Are you tired?" Carlos' deep voice came from above her head.
"Yeah!" Mikayla nodded. Although it was tiring, everything about today's wedding would become a wonderful memory in the future.
"Then lean in my arms and rest for a while." Carlos smiled.
"Where are we going?" Mikayla asked.
"We are going home!" Carlos answered. These words sounded particularly sweet on a quiet night.
'Okay... I thought it was because we were going somewhere far that a helicopter was sent to pick us up,' Mikayla thought. She was too tired to move and dozed off in Carlos' arms.
She had no idea how long the
helicopter had been flying in the air.
Because she was worried about something, she did not sleep deeply. When she woke up, the helicopter had landed. And she had an extra piece of clothing on her.
"Are you awake?" Carlos saw Mikayla open her eyes.
"Yeah," Mikayla replied.
Carlos got off first and reached out to carry her.
"I can do it myself," Mikayla refused. She wanted to take a good look at the home he had decorated for them.
Indeed, she knew nothing about the
wedding with Carlos or the place they were going to live. Before getting married to Jaxon in the past, she had Carefully decorated their home. Unexpectedly, she had found out about Jaxon's affair with Winona three days before the wedding. The new house she decorated had later become theirs. And now, this home was given to her by Carlos, so she wanted to have a good look.
Carlos seemed to know what
Mikayla was thinking and helped her get off the helicopter. He gave a monetary gift to the person who flew the helicopter. Only then did Mikayla see that it was Josiah. She felt that Josiah was the kind of person Carlos could order around at any time.
"Thank you, Mr. Ludwig," Josiah thanked respectfully.
"You too go home and rest early!" Carlos waved to him.
"Okay!" Josiah replied and left.
Carlos turned around, took Mikayla's hand, and walked toward the private mansion.
Everything in the surroundings had dimmed in the night. Only this mansion was brightly lit and exuded charming brilliance, like a mirage.
Inside the gate of the mansion was a long corridor. Both sides of the corridor were decorated with flashing lights, like the galaxy. There was a red carpet on the ground, and at the end of it was a mansion in Epean style.
