REBORN UNDER THE FULL MOON

Chapter 7: Pledge For Vengeance

Turns out the lake's healing properties come from a volcano close to the lake and the wave was a volcanic wave. I should have been more careful," Kyle said. "It wasn't your fault you didn't know that was going to happen but now we need to figure out what I did out there," I said to Kyle who nodded. "Yes, we do," I agreed with me.

"I think we should start by telling Aria. She is a witch so she will definitely know what to do," he said.

"How do you know? How do you know Aria is a witch?" I asked surprised.

"I just know. I can tell what people are and I can see their true forms by just looking at them. It is a gift I have had since birth," Kyle told me. "Okay then, so how do we find out about what I performed at the lake?"

"I will go to my pack and check the library. There should be something about what happened in there," he said.

"Alright then, I will tell Aria about it," I walked into the house.

"That really happened? Aria looked shocked as I told her about what happened in the lake.

"I think I know something about it," She quickly stood up and rushed to her personal library.

"Come with me,"

"So, you mean to tell me I was gifted these powers because I was reborn?" I asked again finding it hard to believe.

"Yes, I think that is what the queen mother wanted. She won't leave you to come back empty handed by yourself," Aria said to herself.

"Alright today we will be testing your upper body strength. Do a hand stand," Kyle said while I grumbled.

"We weren't made to stand with our hands that is why we have legs," I whined as I went on my hands.

"So, I found out something about your urm, ability," Kyle said.

"Really? What did you find?" I said curiously as I felt the urge to tell him about I and Aria's discussion but she already warned me not to tell a soul. "Kyle! I hear that you are falling in love with that girl!" His father yelled at him.

"What?" Kyle laughed as he tried to downplay his feelings towards Lyra.

"Me? In love with a woman who can't control her wolf? Nope. If I wanted to mate someone, I will find a lady from this pack like we have always discussed although I fear the women in this pack are kind of rough. It is just a rumour that some bored teenagers probably formulated," Kyle assured his father.

"So, who are her parents and is her father an Alpha?" Ryker asked.

"Father, I thought we agreed to taking things slow. If I just jump at her and start asking her all these questions, she will feel insecure with me and we will drift apart. I need her to trust me and you know that takes time. We are literally strangers. No body will trust a stranger enough to spill everything they know." Kyle told his father.

"Yes, that true but I want thing to move along faster. Is sent a private investigator to look into her, but I could not find anything. I need something. Thinking about the fact that there is someone out there that I know nothing about and I can't find anything about leaves an unsettling feeling."

"Don't you know that pups aren't meant to be fighting on grounds they know nothing about?" Ryker laughed as he directed his rogues into the moon lite pack.

"Alpha they are everywhere in the pack now, we are overpowered! Our people are dying!" my commander called out to me as he tried fighting off two wolves that fought viciously.

"Alpha, the nursery is on fire. Over hundred babies are inside," The nanny cried and my heart broke as I tried to focus on the wolf that was about to attack me.

"Try to save as many babies as you can! Sae yourself too!" I shouted as the wolf rushed towards me. Eager to bite into my flesh.

I should have told everyone to leave while we still had the chance, I thought in regret as I looked around and saw my people dead.

The few people that were alive, were barely breathing and the ones that were still able to stand were still fighting.

"Alpha! Alpha! Help me! My mummy! My mummy is bleeding," A child called out to me crying and just as I was about to respond, a wolf bit of the child's head.

"No!" I screamed as tears rolled down my cheeks.

"It hurts right?" Ryker laughed.

"Don't look at me like that sweetheart, I know it hurst but you haven't seen pain because this is only the beginning," He smiled at me in a psychotic manner and I tried to move backwards only to see that his rogues held me on both sides.

"Stop! No! let me go! Somebody, help me!" I screamed.

"Lyra? Lyra!" Aria tried to wake me up.

"They killed my people." I burst out in tears.

Aria came to my side quickly and hugged me while I sobbed.

I remembered everything.

"It was Ryker. He killed my people. He burnt hundreds of babies. He demolished my pack," I said as I wept bitterly.

"It wasn't just yours. He haunted all of us. He killed all our people. He tried to eradicate all the packs. The remaining pack leave in fear and hiding," Aria told me.

"I need to find them. It we are to take down Ryker we need to come together. We need to start our training.

I swear to you today, I will not stop until Ryker ha met his end," I swore to Aria and to all my pack members that had been killed by Ryker.

I have only on purpose now, to ensure that Ryker meets his end.

"I want to meet the girl!" Ryker shouted at Kyle who tried to divert his attention from Lyra.

"Father now is not the time," Kyle said.

"You have been saying that for the past two months. I must meet her today and you cannot stop me," Ryker's face darkened as he had a sinister smile on his face
