Chapter 474
Chapter 474 Why Did You Leave Without Saying Goodbye?
Hearing this, Anaya suddenly got nervous.
Jaylon directly stood up and asked in a deep voice, "Have you searched in the room?"
Mina said, "Yeah, I just called the guard to confirm. They said that Ms. Harward went out last night and didn't come back. They thought we knew."
As soon as Mina finished speaking, Jaylon picked up his coat and put it on. He directly went out of the villa.
Last night, Hearst said that things were not right about Reina. Anaya was also anxious at this time. She immediately found her phone and was ready to send someone to find Reina.
Just when Anaya took out her phone, she saw a text message from Reina on the phone. It was sent last night in the early morning.
"Ana, I moved out. The address is near the place where I used to live. I will come to see you when I have time."
Seeing this message, Anaya breathed a sigh of relief.
It seemed that Reina just wanted to leave Jaylon's sight, not commit suicide.
Hearst was about to call Samuel when Anaya stopped him. "No need to call someone to find her. I already know Reina's location." Anaya told Hearst about the contents of the text message. Hearst listened and asked, "I'll call your brother."
"Don't call him. Let him find her himself."
It was good to let Jaylon worry so that he would not always be so possessive.
Reina was sensitive. If the two of them continued to get along like this, sooner or later, there would still be problems.
Jaylon anxiously brought people to look for Reina all morning, but there was no news of her.
Jaylon really couldn't understand why Reina left today. He thought Reina had accepted him yesterday.
What exactly was Reina not satisfied with Jaylon?
At noon, Trenton brought Jaylon lunch, but Jaylon didn't eat it.
Jaylon hadn't eaten since the morning, but because he had always been concerned about Reina, he didn't have the mood to think about anything else.
In the afternoon, Jaylon's subordinates quickly sent a message. They said that after Reina left the villa last night, she returned to the place where she rented before and rented another room upstairs. The most dangerous place was the safest place. Jaylon forgot to ask someone to search in that place in the morning.
When Jaylon received the news, he rushed over with his men without stopping.
There was no elevator in the building. Jaylon brought his men upstairs.
Jaylon's footsteps were extremely fast and he walked in the front. The others almost couldn't keep up.
Soon, Jaylon was standing at Reina's door.
Jaylon raised his hand and was about to knock on the door, but before he could touch it, he stopped.
Trenton caught up and tried to calm his breathing. He asked, "Jaylon, aren't you going in?"
Jaylon turned to look at Trenton. After a long while, Jaylon asked, "If she wants to leave when she sees me, what should I do?"
Trenton was stunned by Jaylon's question.
In Trenton's eyes, Jaylon was the most powerful existence. Jaylon was decisive and would do everything he could to get what he wanted. Even if Jaylon failed, he could quickly adjust his mentality and reach the next goal. Confusion and hesitation would not exist in him.
However, at this moment, he felt that Jaylon was like a young man who had just come out of society. Because he did not know how to make the woman he loved happy, he was afraid.
After Trenton seriously thought about it, he said, "Why don't you just tie her up?"
Jaylon was lost for words.
Trenton probably felt that it was too rude, so he added, "You should lower yourself and talk to her properly. See what she is dissatisfied with you. Just change it.
"Didn't Reina say before that she hates your possessiveness the most? You should be a little gentler with her.
"As long as you insist and let Reina see your persistence, she will accept you someday."
Trenton's words were like encouragement from some midnight program.
Jaylon felt that what Trenton said was very reasonable. "I'll raise your salary
later."
Jaylon turned around, tidied up his slightly messy suit, and raised his hand
to knock on the door.
Soon, Reina came over and opened the door.
Seeing Jaylon, Reina immediately prepared to close the door.
Jaylon quickly reached in to block it.
Jaylon's hand was injured yesterday, and now it was caught. No matter how
much he could endure, he could not help but frown.
Reina was also shocked and quickly let go of door hand
"Are you
stupid? You actually used your hand to block the door?"
If Reina had been more forceful just now, Jaylon's hand might have been
crippled!
Jaylon did not answer and quietly looked at her. "Can I go in? I haven't applied medicine to my hand yet today."
It meant that Jaylon wanted Reina to help him.
Jaylon's hand was injured because of her. Reina could not refuse, so she let
him in and found a medicine chest to help him apply the medicine to his
hand.
Reina lowered her head and seriously helped him treat his wound. Jaylon looked at her intently and asked, "Why did you leave without saying goodbye last night?"
Reina did not look up and casually replied, "I sent a message to Ana. Didn't
she tell you?"
Jaylon didn't know what to say.
"She might have forgotten."
Reina hit the nail on the head. "Did she forget or not want to tell you?"
Jaylon's lips were taut as he stubbornly said, "She must forget it."
Reina looked up at Jaylon, not denying it.
After treating the wound, Reina stood up. "Alright, you can go back now."
Jaylon was still sitting there, not saying a word or moving.
Reina knew that this person had never listened to her, so she simply
ignored him. She put away the medicine box and prepared to continue
working.
The apartment she rented only had one room. Next to the computer desk was the bed, and the sofa was placed in the middle.
From Jaylon's angle, he could see the dense words on her screen.
Jaylon got up and walked over, and asked, "Since you want to leave, why don't you go further?"
The first thing Jaylon checked this morning was the airport and long-distance transportation. He did not expect Reina to stay in Boston. Reina typed quickly on the keyboard and casually replied, "Because no matter how far it is, it is useless."
Reina already knew the gap between herself and Jaylon. Unless she really
died, he would always have a way to find her.
Reina was pregnant and it was not suitable for her to rush around, so she
simply came back here.
Jaylon was quiet for a few seconds and asked in a hoarse voice, "Reina, do
you hate me for pestering you like this?"
Reina's typing speed slowed down a little. She said, "You know it in your
heart." Jaylon felt sad. "Reina, what else are you dissatisfied with me? Tell me directly, I can try to change."
Jaylon had already compromised with Reina for many things. As long as
Reina could change her attitude towards him, he was willing to make a further compromise.
"There is no dissatisfaction. It is just that we are not suitable."
Reina had thought a lot these days. As for the things she cared about
before, Jaylon was now trying to make up for her.
Jaylon was also willing to spend time healing the injuries Reina had
suffered.
Jaylon was extremely good to Reina.
But the better Jaylon was, the more afraid Reina was.
Reina clearly realized that her prejudice against Jaylon, other than his own arrogance and possessiveness, was partly because the class he was in was different from hers.
