Chapter 452
Chapter 452 Reina, Shall I Sleep With You Tonight?
Argus was determined to shield Reina behind him, afraid that Jaylon would hurt her.
Jaylon clenched his fists and then let them go. He asked in a deep voice, "Reina, the baby in your belly is mine, right?"
He didn't think it through just now.
The man called Argus had been by Reina's side for a few months. Jaylon was jealous and his mind was a mess. That was why he thought that the baby in Reina's belly was Argus'. Now that Jaylon thought about it carefully and found it was nonsense.
Reina seemed to have been pregnant for more than three months, and she had only been here for three months.
Unless Reina had slept with Argus on the first day she came here, she
couldn't have been pregnant for such a long time.
Reina was afraid that Jaylon might uncover the truth, but she didn't show it off. Reina said, "It's Argus' baby. Not yours.
"Argus and I are truly in love, and we have already decided to get married. Please do not disturb us, Mr. Malpas."
"Reina, you don't know how to tell a lie." Jaylon stared at her and put on a smile. He added, "You have a habit, maybe you don't even know it yourself.
"When you lie, you would appear calmer than usual."
Jaylon said with certainty, "You were lying just now."
"I was not lying." Reina was nervous.
"Reina, I will wait for you here," Jaylon spoke gently. He believed that Reina was lying and was in a better mood.
Jaylon continued, "After you give birth to the baby, you can have a paternity test. Then we will know if you were lying." Argus said, "Our citizens will not allow you to stay here. Please get out of here."
"I won't go anywhere. I will live here."
Jaylon said indifferently, which was the same as usual. He didn't give others any chance for negotiation.
Argus stepped forward and glared at Jaylon like a lion who stepped forward to protect his partner.
"Sir, behave yourself! Or I'll call the police to arrest you!"
Jaylon replied calmly, "Do it then."
Jaylon was no doubt so arrogant that he regarded Argus as nobody.
It was too simple for Jaylon to deal with an ordinary town resident.
Argus was a little annoyed by what Jaylon did.
Reina was worried that Argus would do something to further anger Jaylon. She quickly pulled Argus back. "Argus, don't be impulsive. You can't beat him. Let's go upstairs and take a rest." Reina did not mean to look down upon Argus. Instead, she only stated the facts.
Jaylon got all his muscles from tough training. In terms of close combat, there were only a few people who could beat him.
Argus usually did fish work. Although Argus had great strength, he was not
as skillful as Jaylon in terms of close combat.
If they indeed started fighting, it would be impossible for Argus to win.
Seeing that Reina did not believe that he could win, Argus was somewhat unhappy.
But Reina told him not to make trouble, so Argus listened to her.
When they were celebrating tonight, Argus asked the ladies in town about it
and learned that Jaylon had brought over a dozen men.
If they started a fight, he and Reina would be in big trouble.
Argus calmed down and held Reina's hand, trying to bring her upstairs for a rest.
Jaylon grabbed Reina's wrist and easily made her out of Argus's control.
"Since Reina is not your girlfriend, please behave yourself. After all, you two
have to keep a social distance from each other."
"Reina is my girlfriend," Argus became angry again.
"She is pregnant with my baby. How can she be your girlfriend?"
Argus said firmly, "She is pregnant with my baby."
"I didn't expect you to have the hobby of raising children for others," Jaylon
sneered.
Reina couldn't bear it since Jaylon spoke to Argus in such a humiliating tone. She shook off his hand. "Jaylon, several months have passed, but you
still haven't learned how to respect others.
"Argus is the father of my baby. Please show respect for him.
"I almost died before. If you pushed me too far, I would do anything and have nothing to be afraid of!"
When Reina was with Jaylon two years ago, she had also fantasized like
other girls. Would she be the girl who could stand beside him and
accompany him forever?
But soon, she discovered that they were different.
Jaylon was proud and arrogant, and his self-satisfaction was rarely seen in
his daily social life. It would only be been from time to time.
Later, when they became closer, he did not hide it anymore.
He never knew how to respect others.
Or, it could be said that he did not know how to respect people who had a
great difference in status from him.
Back then, Reina had suffered so much when she was looked down upon and gossiped about. It was because Jaylon had never cared about the feelings of his lover with such a low status. Reina spoke for Argus, which made Jaylon unhappy. And he even had the
urge to throw Argus away.
But now, Reina was unfriendly to him. If Jaylon did so, he was afraid that he would push Reina further and further away.
Jaylon calmed down and kept silent.
Reina held Argus's hand and turned around to go upstairs. Jaylon watched
them leave and followed them with a gloomy face.
Seeing them enter the same bedroom, Jaylon was shocked. He walked
over in a hurry and held the door that was about to be closed.
He narrowed his eyes and asked angrily, "Have you been living together for
the past three months?"
Reina asked him unhappily instead, "Did we have to sleep separately when we decided to live together? "Take your hand away. I'm going to close the door."
Jaylon did not intend to listen to her and planned to force his way in.
However, just as Jaylon was about to put in his strength, Argus suddenly kicked the door from the inside.
Jaylon didn't expect it and staggered back a few steps as he watched the
door being closed in front of him.
Jaylon's face instantly darkened. He took two steps forward, intending to kick the door open.
Before he moved, Reina's voice came from the room. "Jaylon, if you dared
to act impolitely, I would jump out from the window on the second floor
along with you!"
Jaylon froze and withdrew his leg.
He had been trained before, and if he fell from the second floor, he would
be safe as long as he found a good way to land.
If Reina wanted to throw him down to vent her anger, he would also bear it.
But Reina was pregnant, and if she jumped down from the second floor, she would no doubt run into something bad.
Reina risked her life to threaten Jaylon, and he had no way to go against
her.
It was the first time Jaylon experienced such a feeling. He had never been
so helpless
before. Jaylon stood at the door of the room for a while, ready to go to the next
room for a rest.
Before leaving, he warned Reina and Argus who were in the room, "I am
next door. I can hear everything in your room. "Argus, you'd better control yourself!"
They did not respond to him at all. Jaylon was helpless and could only go
to the next room for a rest.
Argus was pulled into the bedroom by Reina. At first, he was still angry with
Jaylon and did not pay attention to anything else.
Now that Jaylon had left, Argus could not help but feel a little nervous.
"Reina, shall I sleep with you tonight?"
Reina was silent for a moment and then nodded.
