Chapter 33

Chapter 33 In the Shooting Field

in the Boston international shooting field.

When Samuel returned from the bathroom, he saw Jayden look panicked.

He joked, "Mr. Cassidy, why are you staring at your phone? Did a beauty ask you out?"

Jayden was silent for a moment and then said, "I accidentally hung up Ms. Dutt's phone just now."

"Shit. Hurry up and call her back!" Samuel snatched the phone away.

Jayden pulled his phone back. "Ms. Dutt's call is very likely to be for the project investment. We can't make the decision."

"Then go ask Hearst."

"Do you dare?" Jayden pursed his lips.

Samuel was silent.

He did not dare.

Hearst was not in a good mood today.

It seemed that something bad had happened when he sent Anaya back

Although Hearst always looked indifferent, those who were familiar with him all knew how terrifying he was when he was ruthless.

If someone had offended him...

They might use real bullets in the shooting field.

Samuel suddenly thought of something. "Doesn't Hearst like her? Let's call her over directly. That's a perfect idea!"

Samuel felt that he was really smart!

Anaya received a message from Tim that Jayden seemed to be in the shooting range today.

The country had strict control over guns and ammunition. Although Boston was one of the top cities in the country, it only had one shooting range. So Anaya quickly determined Jared's location. She didn't have much hope for Prudential Group's investment, but she still wanted to give it a try.

This was the first time Anaya had come to a place like this. The procedures for entry were a little complicated, and it took her quite some time.

She followed the information given by Tim and entered the training ground.

Then things went smoothly. She did not find Jayden. Instead, she saw a familiar face.

Hearst was still wearing a white shirt and a black protective suit.

He wore a pair of goggles, and the cuffs of his shirt were rolled up to his elbow. He looked calm and focused on the aim.

The muscles on his exposed arm were strong, and Hearst's movements were swift and powerful.

Alter a low deatening cumshots, Anaya glanced at the target opposite him.

Each one hit the bullseye.

The bullets were used up, and the stall beside him handed over a new magazine,

Hearst took it and changed it. When he looked up, le noticed Anaya.

He handed the fun to the person beside him, took off his goggles, and walked toward her.

Hearst still had that cold look, but Anaya lelt that his aura was a little more frightening than usual.

Perhaps it was because she had never played shooting before and was afraid of weapons. She had a lingering, fear when she saw Hearst shoot.

"Why are you here?" he asked, looking down at her.

Anaya did not answer but asked, "Will you spend the whole day here?"

"Yes."

"Then have you seen Jayden?" As she spoke, she turned on her phone and let him see a photo. "This man."

Hearst looked over at the resting area and asked, "Why are you looking for him?"

Anaya explained her intentions,

Hearst was indifferent and said lightly, "He was here two hours ago. But now he has left."

Anaya was a little disappointed. "I see..."

"I'll send you out."

Just as Anaya was about to nod, a staff member walked over. "Miss, today is the anniversary celebration of our shooting range. You've won the prize and we'll give you twenty bullets. Do you want to have a try?"

"What?" Anaya asked.

There were such activities in the shooting range? Anaya thought,

Hearst glanced at the rest area.

Samuel smiled and waved to him.

Anaya had been under great pressure these past few days and wanted to vent it out, so she agreed.

"Mr. Helms, can you teach me how to shoot?"

He looked at her and was silent for quite a while.

Anaya thought that he found it troublesome and was about to say that she would hire a professional coach when Hearst said, "I'll take you to choose a gun."

"Thank you," Anaya said with a smile.

Hearst chose a pistol with a small recoil.

When she touched the black and cold metal shell, Anaya suddenly felt nervous.

Hearst told her the essentials and helped her adjust the posture of holding the gun. Seeing that her shoulder was a little stiff, he said, "Forget it if you're afraid."

Anaya didn't want to be outdone, so she said, "I'm not afraid."

Hearst smiled and held her hand from behind. "I'll take you to shoot."

Anaya was not short, but standing in front of him, she looked petite and thin.

He kept a certain distance from her and did not cross the line.

He lowered his body and held her hand. His gentle voice rang out in her ears, "Relax."

The word seemed to have a kind of enchantment, and Anaya actually settled down.

He took her hand and gently pulled the trigger.

The crisp and violent gunshot echoed in the empty shooting range.

Anaya's hands were shaking, and her heart was beating violently because of the deafening gunshot.

But Hearst had calmed her down.

"Not bad," he praised.

She was stunned for a few seconds, and then her gaze focused on the target opposite her.

The bullet passed by the edge of the target.

Anaya thought, what is good about it?

I missed the target.

She suspected that he was mocking her.

Hearst took her to take a few more shots, and Anaya gradually found the feeling.

Although the pressure was relieved, her hand was numb.

After a while, she returned the gun.

Hearst aimed his gun at the target and asked her casually, "Did Joshua apologize to you today?"

At the mention of this, Anaya became angry. "He came here once in the morning, but it was not for an apology."

Hearst narrowed his eyes. "Then for what?"

"I don't want to talk about that," Anaya answered vaguely.

Hearst had already ained at the target. He maintained the posture of holding the gun and did not move. "You still like him?"

Anaya looked at him in surprise.

In her opinion, Hearst had always been a gentleman and rarely inquired about other people's private affairs.

She thought he might just ask casually,

Anaya replied, "I like him..." sᴇaʀᴄh thᴇ FindNʘᴠᴇl.nᴇt website on Gøøglᴇ to access chapters of novels early and in the highest quality.

A loud sound was heard.

With a gunshot, the bullet hit the bullseye.

And Anaya was so shocked that she didn't finish her words.

Hearst put away the gun and looked at her indifferently.

Anaya had seen all kinds of people, but there had never been someone like him who would make others feel pressure.

She didn't understand why he suddenly looked so cold. "What's wrong?"

"Let's go. I'll send you out," he said as he looked away.

"Alright."

She followed him out of the range,

At the reception hall.

Robin and Bryant returned the guns and were discussing where to eat at night when they saw Anaya and Hearst walking over from the shooting range side by side.

"Is that Anaya? Who's the person next to her?"

Bryant had also noticed the two of them.

He had seen Hearst before because Hearst was his father's guest.

Bryant's father had specially told him not to offend Hearst.

And he had heard Joshua mention the current situation of the Dutt family.

It seemed that Anaya had changed her target when she didn't get Timothy's help.

As Joshua said, she was fickle.

Robin took out his phone to take a photo and sent it to Joshua.

"In Boston international shooting field. Come here."

After two minutes, Joshua replied to him.

"I don't have time."

"What are you busy with? What is inore important than getting your wife back?"

"Lexie can get off the bed today. I'll take a walk with her."

"Your wife is about to be snatched away, and you still have the mood to take a walk with another woman?"

"If Hearst wants a woman like Anaya, just let him take it. Anaya and I have already divorced. Do not disturb me with her matters anymore."

Robin was angry.

He was going to stay out of their business.
