Chapter 279
Chapter 279 Too Much Of A Coincidence
A surge of fury consumed Jasper’s heart. Like a man possessed, he pressed down hard on the accelerator, venting his anger all
the way to the school gate.
Eileen couldn’t comprehend how he had ended up in such a state. The atmosphere inside the car was chillingly cold.
“Get out!”
Eileen unbuckled her seatbelt and silently exited the car.
He stared intently at her retreating figure, his eyes filled with a somber light, brimming with anger and jealousy.
The fact that Eileen had betrayed him was something he found unbearable.
How could he possibly forgive her?
Should he turn a blind eye or pretend as if nothing had ever happened and continue to be with her?
He loved her so deeply, yet he had to endure her deception time and time again.
Jasper slammed his hand against the car window with such force that the skin over his knuckles split, and thin streams of blood
began to flow out.
The Maybach stopped at the school gate for a good ten minutes. Jasper tried his best to suppress in his heart. The ring lying in
his palm was tightly clenched in his hand.

rage
Before long, Jasper received a call from Fabian. He sounded hesitant as he said, “Mr. Smith, I’ve found all the information you
asked for.”
A shadow fell over Jasper’s eyes. “Speak.”
“Ms. Eileen... indeed has had intimate interactions with Eric. Through his transaction history, it was found that he had bought
quite a few... lingerie... from a lingerie store.” Fabian seemed to have some dithculty accepting this fact. “All of them were in Ms.
Eileen’s size. When Ms. Eileen disappeared, she spent most of her time with Eric. The street surveillance footage also confirmed
that he had indeed entered the house rented by Ms. Eileen. Besides, we’ve also hacked into Eric’s email and found quite a few
exchanges with Ms. Eileen, including photos...”
At the mention of the photos, Fabian seemed to find it hard to speak, his voice unusually fraught with
tension.
“What photos?”
“Well..” Fabian started to speak, then hesitated.
“Speak up!”
“Mr. Smith, I’ve already sent them to your email
Even without looking, Jasper already knew what those photos were
“Bring out the contract we prepared earlier for investing in Caerulus Corporation I want to see signatures on it within three days
Jasper’s voice was icy cold.

“Understood, Mr. Smith.”
Fabian didn’t dare to delve deeply into Jasper’s thoughts. If it hadn’t been for Jasper suddenly requesting an investigation into
Eileen’s involvement with Eric, they would still be kept in the dark.
Fabian couldn’t believe what he was seeing either. Ms. Eileen, of all people, turns out to be this kind of person. She’s quite
skilled to have kept up the pretense until now. After all, Ms. Eileen did have a past record of bullying the weak, and she enjoyed
spending her time in chaotic places like bars and clubs... For the sake of his adopted brother, she had done quite a few
unconventional things.
Fabian had conducted numerous investigations to verify the truth. However, upon receiving the results, he was greatly shocked
to find that everything was not a fabrication.
In the past, Ms. Eileen would often skip class to spend time with Eric at his company, persistently seeking his attention. She even
publicly declared herself to be his girlfriend. Eric was not interested in Ms. Eileen. It was always her who had been relentlessly
pursuing him. At Caerulus Corporation, any employee who looked even slightly attractive would be dismissed by her with just a
sentence. Those who refused to leave would be publicly humiliated by her until they could no longer bear it and resigned on their
own. This was well-known among all the employees at Caerulus Corporation. They also knew how infatuated Ms. Eileen was
with Eric.
Mr. Smith didn’t investigate before because he trusted Ms. Eileen! But upon delving deeper into the investigation now, he’s
realizing that things are not as simple as initially imagined. The current Ms. Eileen/is simply unrecognizable compared to before.
But she did truly betray Mr. Smith, secretly communicating with Eric and carrying on their affair under the radar. The goal is the
benefits that Smith Corporation brings to Caerulus Corporation. Just when the engagement is about to happen, this incident
occurs. Is all of this just too much of a coincidence? It just had to be at
this moment.
They had obtained evidence of Eileen secretly communicating and colluding with Eric. Each piece of evidence could sentence
Eileen to death, yet, Fabian felt something was off, but he couldn’t pinpoint what
was wrong.
Eric is the protege personally trained by Will. There is no telling what he has up his sleeves. Storing such important photos in an
email inbox without setting a password is a bit too simple, isn’t it? What’s even stranger is that there are only these photos in the
inbox, no other files... As the reigning power in Hulbury, even the covert investigations by the police into the Swan family’s
criminal evidence have yielded no results in twenty years.
Reflecting on these photos, Fabian found it somewhat unbelievable that such important items were found by them so easily.
In the evening, Jasper drank himself into a stupor. Despite the risk of getting into an accident, he drove home drunk and returned
to the Smith residence.
Suddenly, there was a loud bang at the door.
Eileen was in the middle of dinner when she heard the sound, and it truly scared her out of her wits
The housekeeper walked up to the door and exclaimed, “My goodness! The door!”
Eileen put down her fork and walked over, noticing the dent in the door from the impact as well as the clear imprint of a car’s
front end.
The housekeeper hurriedly opened the door, only to find the familiar car now wrecked Jasper stumbled out of the car, his clothes
disheveled, his face streaked with dark traces of blood as it he had been in a fight.
The housekeeper hurried forward to assist him. “Mr. Jasper, what happened to you? How did you get

injured?”
“Get lost!” Jasper roared at her.
Jasper walked into the foyer, spotting Eileen on one side. Yet, he pretended as if he hadn’t seen her, walking past her
nonchalantly.
Eileen looked at him, her steps unhurried as she followed behind him. Seeing that he was about to fall, she quickly steadied him
with one hand. “Jasper, drunk driving is very dangerous.”
“Are you not tired of this charade after all this time?” Jasper glanced at the housekeepers in the living room. “Leave, all of you!”
The housekeepers bowed their heads and quietly exited.
Jasper, leaning on the corridor railing, climbed the stairs with unsteady steps, swaying from side to side.
Eileen, feeling uneasy, asked a housekeeper to prepare a hangover remedy.
She then followed him up the stairs.
Jasper walked over to the wine rack in his bedroom. He uncorked a bottle of expensive red wine and poured it directly into his
mouth.
Eileen reached out to stop him. “Stop drinking. Your leg hasn’t healed yet. You can’t drink.”
“I told you to leave!” Jasper was furious. “Didn’t you say you wanted to go? Why are you still here? Leave!” He angrily threw the
bottle of red wine onto the floor, shattering it. The broken glass flew up and grazed Eileen’s leg, causing a sudden sharp pain.
In that moment, Jasper appeared completely insane, resembling the old Jasper who was always irritable and contemplating
ending his own life.
Eileen didn’t say anything. She simply stepped forward and embraced him, pressing herself against his chest, her hand gently
patting his back. “That’s enough. Can you stop being angry? I’ve told you before that no matter what happens, we can solve it
together...”
