Rebirth In Divorce: My New Mr. Perfect

Chapter Divorce 215

Chapter 215

Yasmine lazily glanced over Helen and said slowly, "Helen, no one knows your situation better than you. Do you really want to be the scapegoat?'

Helen looked at her in disbelief, "Would you really be that kind?'

"In fact, there should be another person behind you and Yvette. Is it Irene? What end did you get from protecting them so much?' Yasmine said with a faint smile.

Helen's face was pale, yet she stubbornly said, "Being close to you isn't any better, is it? It's just jumping from one pit of wolves to another."

"I don't have time to waste on you. I know that the person in Luxury Lane Villas back then was Yvette. I need more details, tell me," Yasmine Is eyes were so chilling that it sent a shiver down one's spine.

Helen shivered under the coldness of that gaze. After weighing her options, she finally spoke. Perhaps Yasmine was right; she had leaped from a wolf's den into a lion's mouth, but she had no intention of being someone else's scapegoat.

After Helen confessed how Irene helped her get out and how she introduced her to Yvette, a satisfied smile appeared on Yasmine's face. "Since you've told everything, you shouldn't be stuck in the detention center any longer."

Helen's expression was complicated, knowing Yasmine wouldn't let her off easily. Sure enough, Yasmine spoke again, "Helen, do you remember how you managed to escape last time? Your

mental evaluation is still here, and the place you should be is the psychiatric hospital.

II

Her voice was light, but Helen's face changed drastically. "No! You can't do this to me!" People in psychiatric hospitals aren't normal .They have to take meds every day, and she surely didn't want to go in there. Last time, her grandpa had a hard time saving her, and he wouldn't soften up and save her again this time.

Yasmine had already stood up and threw a line, "This is out of your hands," before walking away.

Helen chased after Yasmine's direction, "Yasmine! I just helped you! You jerk, don't send me to the psychiatric hospital!" But as soon as she uttered the first words, the police pulled her away and locked her back in the detention center.

In the psychiatric hospital, Helen was sent back once again. Without Xavier's instructions and Matthew's care, this time she was treated like an ordinary patient. The only difference was she got special attention because of her criminal record, so the nurse was particularly cautious while attending to her.

Now, without the protection of those people, Helen is nothing. In just a mere half day since she was admitted, she's already faced plenty of scolding.

"Helen, you need to take all your medicine.'i

"Helen, you grabbed someone else's food again. Now go back to your room and calm down for an hour."...

Things like this happen every moment, and she's slowly becoming

more tempered from all the reprimands.

Helen frantically bangs on the door. She has been locked up for almost two hours now, and no one has approached her since then. Along with the endless loneliness, she doesn't even have anyone to talk to.

During mealtime, she held her tray and found a corner to sit in peace. Yet just as she was about to settle and take a bite, a madman disrupted the mood. "What are you eating?"

One who seemed relatively normal. She replied impatiently, "Can't you see for yourself?'ı

"See? Eating too much can make you gain weight." The person continued. Just when she thought she had met a normal person, the person suddenly snatched away her

utensils and spoke to the foway her

"Buddy, don't be afraid, 1 1m here to save you." She was bewitched, talking to every piece of cutlery in the restaurant.

"Lunatic!" Helen blurted out. Patients like this were quite common in the mental hospital; she didn't even need to look for them intentionally.

During dinner, the hospital provided the meals. Helen obediently sat by the bed, holding a bowl of rice. The nurse was about to rush in when she noticed someone else following behind her.

Helen turned around and saw it was the lunatic she encountered in the afternoon, living on the same floor as her. "Get out! Get out of here!" She now had no utensils in her hands.

The meals sent by the hospital were very simple, without traditional dishes. For example, potatoes and greens-these

vegetables should be easy to make, right? She asked the nurse, but the nurse was reluctant to tell her.

At night, Helen couldn't fall asleep at all. As soon as midnight struck, all the patients on the floor started screaming in unison. The sharp, piercing cries were extremely annoying, and she desperately covered her ears, but the sounds still hurt them. It took two, or three hours before things quieted down. The moonlight fell, and the sky was beginning to lighten. She finally slept without any intrusive thoughts.

After Yasmine went to work, Yoselin

resumed her college courses. After class, Yoselin would always show up punctually at Yasmine's counseling office Previously, their routine was for Yoselin to receive psychological counseling, but now they're on a journey of self-discovery

Yasmine printed out two extra copies of the photo and handed one to Yoselin. They've been doing things like this these past few days. Yasmine doesn't trust her own memory; she can only search for

herself in her subcon 1.1

Otherwise, she suddenly looks at Yoselin, hoping to see something in

her subconscious.

"Yoselin, close your eyes and imagine you're floating on the ocean. You've made plans to see a movie with someone. Where is that person?" Yasmine said softly.

Yoselin replied, "With my brother."

Yasmine's nerves suddenly twitched. "What are you doing together?'i

"Dating," Yoselin said.

Yasmine's brows furrowed tightly, and she didn't ask further. She already felt something was off. If the person who made plans to see a movie was indeed her, then the one going on a date with Yonas would be her too. But she clearly remembered having no connection with Yonas.

As soon as the words left her mouth, Yoselin snapped back to reality. "How was it, Yasmine?" Yoselin asked with eager eyes.

Yasmine sighed, "Today in your subconscious, I was dating your brother."

"So does that mean my brother and you are dating?'

Yasmine spoke again, "That might not be true." Of course, she might never have thought that it would be nice if she were really going on a date with Yonas. Yasmine didn't think it was true; she couldn't remember Yonas.

At the Flynn residence, Xavier became even more distant after the recent incident. He firmly believed that the one who wanted to harm Helen was Yvette, but it turned out the truth was indeed Yvette. He was puzzled, why did Yvette tell them this now when she was already safe?

"Xavier, eat this." Yvette saw him zoning out and quickly brought a spoon to Xavier's mouth.

Xavier pushed the spoon away, "I don't want to drink it."
