Chapter 7 - Enlightenment
Alex: “So, I take it you and Pierré became an item?”
Me: “You can say that... In those seven months we did become close. Pierré would sneak me a kiss on the cheek every now and again, or hold my hand if no one was around. We spend hours together so it was only natural that we grew fond of each other, we talked and joked around...but things changed after that.
One morning I thought it a good idea to take my breakfast to the library where Pierré always had his, I was tired of dining alone, seeing how close we’ve gotten it seemed unnatural to dine alone... but nothing could prepare me for what I walked in on.
Pierré was stretched out in the chair, Tessa was sitting on his lap straddling him, and her dress was pulled down to her waste, his face buried in her neck. At first I thought I walked into them having sex but when Pierré noticed me standing in the door way he jumped to his feet In surprise, Tessa falling to the floor.
It was only than that I noticed Pierre’s bloodied mouth and Tessa had blood running down her neck and chest”
Alex: “Are you saying Pierré is a vampire?”
I gave Alex a small smile trying to recall the moment my whole world changed “Pierré? No he was no vampire... He was only vamparic.
He didn’t bite Tessa, he cut her.... She had various cuts along her neck and arms... Not all new of cause”
Alex: “What’s the difference... Between a vampire and a vamparic?”
Me:” The difference is a Vamparic has not been turned yet... You’re only half way there, so to speak.
After Pierré calmed me down he explained that a Vampire had fed on him, a few times actually thus linking him to the Vampire.
When a Vampire bites you it creates a link between the victim and the Vampire. While the vampire feeds he can see his victims’ thoughts and memories, he can feel his victims’ feelings and emotions, it’s rather intimate. In return the victim will feel a bond with the vampire, he will feel a lust and desire, to give himself... give his everything to that vampire. His main purpose is to please that vampire.
Even once the feeding ends the victim will feel lost and empty, but the bond remains, the victim becomes like a slave willing to please and protect the Vampire... Once this bond is in place the victim becomes what we call a vamparic... Like his vampire master he craves blood, but unable to take blood like a vampire the vamparic resorts to cutting his victims.
Not all vampires can turn you either, only a Royal...but they don’t do that likely. There are a lot of rules and politics surrounding creating new vampires.
In order to be turned you have to be fed on... Drained of almost all blood and then you have to have the blood of a Royal vampire in you in order to complete the turning process. Just this in itself is a difficult process as vampires do not drain their victims... The equivalent of a glass is sufficient to fill a vampire.
If you are just being fed on, with no royal vampire blood in your system, you can’t turn, but you do become vamparic causing you to have the same lust, desires and cravings as a vampire but without any vampire abilities.
In retrospect, If you have royal vampire blood in your system but you were not drained of your blood first, you will not turn either, you will however have an even stronger bond with the royal vampire whose blood is in you and he may even be able to control your mind.
Pierré didn’t want to tell me who the Vampire was that fed on him, he was bound to the vampire and that made him loyal and obedient and because of that bond the identity was to be a secret in order to protect the Vampire.
Pierré was a vamparic, he desired blood and he took it from Tessa but he had no power over her, neither did he have a bond with her as he wasn’t a vampire. Tessa allowed him because she had a crush on him.... Pierré on the other hand only had a blood lust and no desire for anything else.
It took me some time to make sense of it all, but what bothered me most was not the fact that Pierré had a blood lust, or that he was vamparic, what bothered me was Pierre’s lips on Tessa... And that’s when I realised I was jealous; I was in love with him.
Pierré asked me not to tell anyone about what I saw or what he told me, I promised to keep his secret if he didn’t touch Tessa again... Instead, I offered him my blood.
At first he declined but it only took a day or two before his craving for blood got the better of him
I was just about to go to bed when Pierré came bursting into my room, slamming the door behind him. He was out of breath and his hair was wild, hanging in his face. He looked bewildered and as if he just finished running a marathon.
When I asked what was wrong he just embraced me and held me for a while, before he eventually spoke.
Pierré: “I can’t do this anymore, I’m not supposed to feel anything for you, I’m not supposed to want you this much but I can’t fight it anymore... It’s not just the blood cravings... It’s you”
He let go of me and was waiting for me to be the strong one, waiting for me to tell him to leave my room or tell him how he dare speak to me like that... Or maybe tell him that he was strong enough to resist the cravings and me... But I didn’t, instead I undid the top buttons of my nightgown and revealed my bare skin to him.
Pierré looked at my lips, my neck and breasts; I could see the lust in his eyes “Aurora please... I can’t resist”
Me: “Then don’t”
Pierré rushed forward taking me into his arms. This was the first time I wasn’t taken against my will and I wanted him as much as he wanted me.
Alex was getting uncomfortable in his seat “Umm do we really have to discuss this?”
I laughed at his awkwardness “No I suppose not but I think what is important to know is that Pierré was the first man I fell in love with and after that night we were almost inseparable”
Time past and I found myself free, I have been living a wonderful life for sixteen months. Pierré and I were so in love. He had thought me everything he could, the same with Abigail. I was a fast learner and my studies came pretty much to an end.
Life couldn’t be more perfect... But a perfect life was never what was intended for me.
