Chapter 1822
Bill stared at the man, and his voice suddenly became hoarse. "What did you say? Say it again!"
The man sighed again. "Ovia just asked me to pretend to be her boyfriend. The child was not mine at all. It was yours!"
Bill's body swayed slightly.
His throat seemed to be choked, and he murmured, "But why... why didn't she tell me?"
"You had broken up with each other when she found herself pregnant. You should know her character better than anyone else. She thought that it was unnecessary to tell you, and you didn't have to be responsible for it!" The man paused for a moment, and then said, "And I think that the reason why Ovia chose not to tell you was that she didn't want to drag you down!
"She said that she couldn't live a rich life with you, but she couldn't bear you to be an ordinary person, so you were not meant to be together. As for the child, she wanted to keep it, and it shouldn't be a burden to you."
Bill's limbs were stiff.
His eyes were full of pain, and he subconsciously stumbled back.
Too many emotions surged up from his chest, causing his brain chaotic, his breathing to slow
down, and his vision to gradually become blurred.
Bill fell straight back.
The woman covered her mouth and screamed, "Ah!"
"Oh my goodness, someone fainted!"
"Call the ambulance!"
People gathered around one after another, and it became chaotic for a while.
An hour later, in a hospital.
A luxurious car hurriedly stopped at the gate. The driver opened the door and three person got out.
Today, in order to please the two elders, Abby took them out to watch a stage play. Unexpectedly, when they were halfway there, she received a call from the hospital saying that Bill was sent there for first aid. Then they rushed over without stopping.
Both Old Master Amery and Old Madam Amery looked anxious.
Abby helped Old Madam Amery walk out of the elevator and went straight to the ward.
There were nurses and a taxi driver at the door.
Abby quickly stepped forward and asked, "How is my uncle?"
When the taxi driver saw them coming, he immediately said, "It has nothing to do with me. He just got in my car and asked me to drive to the old streets. He suddenly got off, and talked to a man. Then he suddenly fell to the ground and fainted. I sent him to the hospital on behalf of ambulance. He hasn't paid me the fare yet!"
The three of them were at a loss.
Abby took out a few notes and handed them over. "Thank you!"
"You're welcome!" The driver took the money with a grin and waved his hand to leave.
They entered the ward.
Not long after, Lin, who had also received the news, rushed over.
Bill was lying on the bed, with bandage wrapped around his head. Her face looked a little pale, and he was still in a coma.
They had a general understanding of the situation. The doctor told them, "He may be stimulated, or his mood fluctuated too much. His blood pressure rose sharply, making him faint. He hit the back of his head which caused a slight concussion!"
Old Master Amery, Old Madam Amery, Lin, and Abby were all waiting in the ward worriedly.
It was not until the afternoon that Bill finally slowly woke up.
"Uncle seemed to be awake!" Abby found it and hurried forward. "Uncle, are you all right?"
When Old Madam Amery saw her son wake up, she was relieved. "Go and call the doctor!"
Lin had already run out of the ward.
Soon, a doctor came in and did some basic examinations. "The vital signs are normal. There is no danger at all. It's just that his head is injured and has a slight concussion. I suggest that he should rest in bed for the next two days and better stay in
the hospital!"
Lin said, "Thank you, doctor!"
The doctor left after giving some instructions.
Old Madam Amery cared about her son. "Bill, how do you feel now?"
Bill glanced at his parents, Lin and Ab by, and then said the first sentence after waking up, "Mom and Dad, I may have a daughter..."
Although Bill said "may", he was 100% sure of this fact.
Old Madam Amery was stunned. "What are you talking about?"
She thought that her son began to talk nonsense after the concussion.
Beside her, Old Master Amery also frowned and said, "Bill, if you feel uncomfortable, you must tell the doctor!"
Bill had just woken up. He looked weak, but his voice was firm. "Mom and Dad, I'm very clearheaded now!"
Old Madam Amery couldn't help stepping forward. "What do you mean by 'daughter'? You have been married to Lin for more than 20 years, but you haven't given birth to any child. Now there is only one daughter in our family. Where did you get another one? Did you really lose your head?"
She glanced at Ab by, making Abby look at Bill nervously.
Hearing Bill's words, Abby's heart skipped a beat. For some reason, she had a bad feeling.
Bill said slowly in a hoarse voice, "Mom, Ovia gave me a daughter!"
"What? That woman?" Hearing this name, Old Madam Amery's wrinkles suddenly drooped and she said unhappily, "Bill, have you been cheated? Didn't you say that she married someone else after you two broke up? That woman couldn't have your child!"
Bill said, "She was pregnant after we broke up that year, but she chose to raise by herself, and she was not married! Ovia has passed away, and her child is called Tina. You have never seen her. She is a very beautiful and smart girl. She is the daughter of me and Ovia!"
He closed his eyes in pain.
His chest was covered with a haze, and his heart tightened.
He didn't expect that Ovia, who was determined to break up with him, gave birth to a daughter for him when he didn't know it.
It was 20 years ago. Ovia had to suffer a lot of criticism being an unmarried mother, not to mention that she had to raise her child alone. How could the proud and self-esteem Ovia bear it?
Bill was in extreme pain.
Old Madam Amery's face became cold, and her voice was cold and harsh. "Impossible! You must be cheated. Even if that woman is not married, who knows if her private life is chaotic? Maybe she is pregnant with another man's child. It has nothing to do with you! The daughter in your mouth is even more nonsense!"
Old Master Amery's expression was solemn.
Without evidence, he couldn't randomly draw a conclusion.
Lin, who had been silent for a long time, suddenly moved.
