Chapter 1650
Malee Seemed to Have Made a Mistake
Tina's face blushed more seriously.
On this weekend, Wilson was still on his business trip abroad. For this reason, she was particularly relaxed.
She was so relaxed this weekend that she even felt unusual and unnatural.
This feeling was especially true in the middle of the night, when she closed her eyes. At such moments, she couldn't help but think of his handsome face, and imagine what he would be doing now... Malee's words seemed to have accurately exposed Tina's thought. She looked embarrassed.
Tina quickly changed the topic. "Malee, I heard that the vice president of our Classmates Union, Brother Chow, is going to get married?"
"Yes, the wedding ceremony will be held this month!" Malee nodded.
Tina said, "You have also received the notice. Brother Chow called me the day before yesterday!"
"I heard that his wife is a kindergarten teacher and looks very cute! Time really flies. I still remember when we were still in school, Brother Chow often declared that he would be single for the rest of his life. Now he goes back on his own words! When a man loves a woman, it's miracle!" Malee licked her tongue.
"Couldn't agree with you more!" Tina agreed. She then looked at Malee and added, "Malee, shouldn't you find a boyfriend now?"
When Tina was still a student, she was accompanied by Dylan all the time.
Malee was different. She was never accompanied by any boy. Up to now, she still hadn't had a boyfriend.
Malee's former college classmates gradually got married one after another. Tina's current situation was special. Many things were beyond her own control. However, she was curious and somewhat worried about Malee's love affair.
Malee's expression froze for a while.
She then said, "I'd rather find..."
From Malee's tone of voice, Tina could hear a hint of helplessness. Malee was virtually out of choice.
When Tina was about to ask Malee more carefully, someone knocked on the door. A nurse came in with a medical record book in
her hand. "The family members of Isla Hall in the No.12th ward must now take her to have an examination!"
Isla s body temperature was a little higher than normal lelvel when she got up this morning.
The attending doctor came over to have a check of her. Although there seemed to be nothing serious, he still suggested that Isla should go through a more systematic examination for guarantee. Tina said, "Okay... I know. We'll go there now!"
Tina held up Isla s little hand and followed the nurse out, while Malee was waiting in the ward.
After crossing the pedestrian overpass, the two of them came to the inspection center of the neighboring building.
Isla had been hospitalized for more than half a year since her sudden illness. She was quite used to such an examination. For this reason, she did not feel afraid of or resistant to it at all.
Although this was the case, as Isla s mother, every time Tina saw her daughter lying on the bench for examination, her heart still ached.
She couldn't help but feel sad and dismay for her daughter's miserable experience.
After a series of examination, two hours later, the mother and daughter came out of the examination room.
The sleeves of Isla s hospital gown were rolled up high. There was a tiny needle scar left on her fair and white arms. At this time, Isla was pressing it with a medical cotton swab, which was particularly eye- catching.
Tina's heart ached again when she saw this.
After the cotton swab was thrown away, Tina bent over and puff on Isla's needle scar.
She wished she could replace her daughter's position and suffer from these things.
Isla caressed her mother's face with her chubby little hands and said in a childish voice, "Mom, don't worry! I'm brave enough to defeat the disease!"
Tina's eyes were moistened. She smiled and said, "Well... Isla is the best kid!"
After putting on her hospital gown again, Isla and her mother returned to the ward.
When the two of them were crossing the pedestrian overpass again, Tina spotted two familiar figures at a corner near the elevator.
She had seen these two persons some time ago in an art exhibition.
Lilith Yuen and Dylan Koo, the mother and son.
They didn't seem to come here to visit any patient. They were both walking in a hurry. Dylan was taking a lead, while Lilith followed behind him. They both looked a little strange.
Dylan's face was gloomy, while Lilith looked panic-stricken.
Did something wrong happen to them?
Tina frowned.
She felt that this was bizarre.
Isla shook her hand and asked, "Mom, what are you looking at?"
"Nothing!" Tina shook her head.
In her view, the mother and son had entered the elevator successively.
Tina looked away. No matter what had happened, it had nothing to do with her. She didn't care about it.
She touched Isla s head and said with a smile, "Auntie Malee is still waiting for us. Let's go!" "Mm!" Isla's crisp voice sounded.
A few minutes later, Tina and Isla came back to the Pediatrics Department's ward.
After Tina pushed the door open, she saw that Malee was pacing back and forth in front of the window. From time to time, she would grab her long hair. Hearing the sound of footsteps, Malee quickly stepped forward and said, "Tina, you're finally back! Have you finished the examination?" "Yes!" Tina nodded. Malee heaved a sigh of relief. "Luckily, you and Isla were not here just now!"
"What's wrong?" Tina asked in bewilderment.
"I'm fine!" Malee shook her head.
Tina noticed that there was a hint of hesitation and ambiguity in Malee's eyes. She asked, "Malee, did something happen when we were not here?"
Malee looked like she wanted to say something, but stopped on second thought.
In the end, under Tina's gaze, she had to confess it honestly, "Tina, I seem to have made a mistake..."
Tina was even more puzzled.
Malee added, "When you took Isla to receive the examination, Mrs. Koo and Dylan came over here. Then, I told Dylan what had happened five years ago. Now he knows the truth..." Tina's heart sank suddenly.
The moon was bright and beautiful in the sky, while the night was drawing on.
The ward was illuminated by the bedside lamp. Tina and Malee were sitting near the window, while Isla had already fallen asleep on the bed. Her quiet sleeping face was as lovely and innocent as an angel.
Malee told Tina the details of what happened during the day.
After they were notified by the nurse, Tina and Isla went for the examination, leaving Malee alone in the ward.
Malee felt somewhat bored, and therefore she surf the Internet to vote for the contestants of a recently-popular reality show. While she was enjoying all kinds of handsome men's photos in the fan group, the door of the ward was suddenly pushed open.
Malee thought that it must be Tina and Isla who came back earlier than expected. She was confused, but when she looked up, she saw Lilith's unkind face.
Dressing gorgeously, Lilith came to the ward in an uninvited manner.
Without even knocking on the door, she got into the ward aggressively.
After coming into the ward, Lilith shouted, "Where is Tina Hall the b*itch? Ask her to get out immediately! Little b*tch... I think she was born into a family of batches. She is a vamp! Her daughter is a bastard!" Before Lilith entered the ward, she had deliberately gone to the nurse station to acquire more information about Tina.
At the beginning, Lilith was somewhat worried that Tina might be backed up by someone like Wilson. When she learned from the nurse station that there was only one female friend visiting Tina and her daughter in the ward, Lilith's confidence was immediately enhanced.
Lilith's goal today was to vent out she and Selene's anger, as she firmly believed that Selene would be a perfect future daughter-in-law. She loudly scolded and cursed Tina after entering the ward because she hated Tina so much, and liked Selene so much.
Malee deeply knew how shameless Lilith was.
When Malee heard Lilith scolding and cursing Tina and Isla like that, she naturally couldn't bear it. She put down her mobile phone and retorted angrily.
