Chapter 1526
A smell of sourness?
Terry carefully sniffed in the car, but he didn't smell anything sour.
Then, he quickly realized that Wilson must be referring to somebody being jealous.
According to the social customs, jealousy was always associated with something which smelt sour, such as a lemon.
However, Terry just now had heard it very clearly. Tina only asked a question casually. How could Wilson deduce that she was jealous?
Terry looked at Wilson, who was now sitting on the back seat, from the rearview mirror.
Wilson's legs were crossed, and he put an elbow on the rim of the car window to support himself. His eyes were filled with happiness, and the smile on his face was bright and charming. The sunlight shed on his face, and obviously, he was in a good mood.
Terry was a little stunned.
Had his boss fallen in love with Tina?
The new week was still busy.
Everyone on the TV station was working busily after the morning meeting. Tina barely had time to rest.
After sorting out the manuscripts in her hand, she saved them in the U disk. When she was about to walk out of the office, the editor-in-chief stopped her.
The editor-in-chief handed her an envelope. "Tina, there is an event that needs to be reported on the spot. After you finish lunch, you should bring the machines and go there directly with Bonnie!" Tina frowned. "But I still have a piece of social news in my hands to be followed up..."
The editor-in-chief said, "Put it aside for the time being. We'll focus on this one first. We need you tonight! The sponsor had ordered that you should go there!"
"Ordered me to go there?" Tina was confused.
The editor-in-chief nodded and said, "The sponsor of this event is our station's old partner. I think they should have worked with you before, and know that you are diligent and clever in your work. I heard that they have invited quite a lot of entertainment stars this time. Maybe people who are groupies generally don't have a down-to-the-earth attitude of work, and that's why they ordered that you should go there to help them!"
Tina agreed. "Okay... I'll be there this afternoon!"
After lunch, she went to report the event with Bonnie.
Only when they arrived at the destination did Tina learn that the event was a model show. After the show ended, all the clothes would be auctioned, and the income from the auction would be donated for charitable purposes. That's why many entertainment stars would join this model show.
Apart from the models, the entertainment stars and celebrities would also go on stage for shows.
As this model show was of a private nature, only a number of reporters were invited.
There were also reporters from several magazines, in addition to the TV station where Tina worked for.
The staff members were making preparations for the model show. Suddenly, a commotion occurred among the crowd.
Tina thought it must be a famous star coming.
She looked over curiously, only to see a tall and straight man walking in. Behind him seemed to be his assistant, who was dressed casually, but still appeared to be formal.
The man was dressed in a business suit, but this suit was of a pompous purple color. His curly hair was dyed into a chestnut color. When he raised his hand to brush the hair hanging down from his forehead, his eye expressions were slightly naughty.
Obviously, this man was good at flirting with girls, and there were already many females surrounding him.
He was just like a butterfly flying among the beauties.
While the team leader went to the reception desk to fill in the registration form, Bonnie gossiped with Tina. "It seems to be Desmond Chin!"
Tina wasn't interested at first, but when she heard the family name "Chin", she couldn't help but ask curiously, "Desmond Chin?"
"Hmm!" Bonnie nodded and shared the information she knew with Tina. "I heard about it from our colleagues. Desmond Chin is the cousin of Wilson Chin. The business of the Chin's Group has extended to a lot of different fields, real estate development, finance, and entertainment, which was the most lucrative, etc. Desmond Chin was responsible for the entertainment business!"
Tina nodded.
After hearing Bonnie's words, she felt that Desmond Chin was somewhat similar to Wilson Chin in facial features, but that similarity was to some extent limited. However, one thing was sure. The two cousins were both blessed with very outstanding appearances.
The two of them were also different from each other. Wilson Chin, who was often regarded as the Prince Charming, was more like a cloud high above the blue sky, which was beyond most women's reach. However, Desmond Chin was just like a dazzling sun that could shine on people at any time. It was thus easier for women to get closer to him.
Tina saw that Desmond had made a face, which made a girl giggle.
She shook her head and stopped looking at him. She thought that Desmond was only a playboy.
As the time for the beginning of the model show was getting closer and closer, the entertainment stars had arrived one after another.
There were veteran stars, tier-1 stars, as well as tier-3, tier-4 stars, etc. The gathering-up of them was truly a grand event of the entertainment circle.
Tina had never been a celebrity worshipper, and she was not particularly fond or hateful of entertainment stars. However, she occasionally would become interested in certain TV plays or movies. Bonnie suddenly added, "The grand finale would be Mona Wong's show!"
Tina frowned.
Following Bonnie's line of sight, she saw that a group of people was coming in from the entrance.
Even if Mona had already entered the ha, she still didn't take off her sunglasses and masks. A lot of bodyguards in black were surrounding and escorting her.
She was walking very quickly and entered the backstage lounge with her bodyguards.
Before the beginning of the show, the general director sent everyone a cup of coffee to refresh themselves. Then, he politely asked the reporters to give them favorite comments in the news reports. Tina received the cup of coffee and took a sip. Then, she put it on the stool next to her.
Afraid of delaying things, she made the final adjustment for the machine.
At this time, the door of the lounge opened.
Mona, who had put on her makeup, came out from inside, and her clothes had already been changed into a long skirt for the model show.
She was the last one to appear on the stage, and her clothes were also the most important. The silk texture, the smoothness of the cloth, as well as the design of the fishtail, perfectly demonstrated her charming waistline. The light pink color of her skirt made her look much younger.
The skirt's hemline was beautifully designed, and it was decorated with a circle of delicate lace.
Mona walked by with the skirt's hemline in her hands. As she looked almost like a fairy, everyone couldn't help looking at her.
No one knew where the bodyguards had gone. None of them was escorting Mona now. She was only accompanied by an agent. The two of them seemed to be going to the bathroom.
Tina was trying to adjust the machine properly, when she suddenly heard someone speaking from behind her. "Excuse me?"
She was petrified.
Tina turned around and saw that Mona was standing behind her, looking at her nonchalantly.
Tina still remembered the scene that she and Wilson met Mona and Mya earlier.
She was sitting in the passenger seat at that time. As it was not yet dark, Mona could definitely see her face clearly.
Tina said "sorry" to Mona and took two steps to the side.
Mona didn't talk much with Tina. It seemed that she really just wanted to go to the bathroom. After glancing at Tina faintly, she walked past her in her high heels arrogantly.
Tina couldn't help frowning. She didn't know if it was because she was excessively cautious. She simply felt that there was something wrong with Mona's eyes.
Mona, who had already passed by Tina, suddenly lifted her foot and kicked the stool.
The stool vibrated, and the coffee cup on it fell down to the ground instantly.
The coffee was splashed on the hemline of Mona's skirt, and the originally beautiful skirt was covered with ugly stains of coffee immediately. Mona cried out, "Ah!"
