Prophecy Of Doom

Chapter 39:

In Ryan’s head: Nightmare. It was just a nightmare. She’s here, she’s right here…safe and sound. And she can’t get pregnant either. She’s the last heiress and she told me about her injuries. It was just a meaningless nightmare, nothing else.

Amara’s Mindlink: “Are you okay?”

Ryan’s Mindlink: “Yeah, yeah. I’m fine. Wait…did you just mindlink me?”

Amara’s Mindlink: “I think I did. You don’t like it?”

Ryan’s Mindlink: “No, I love it. I never knew I’d communicate with you like this or I’d hear your beautiful voice all the time no matter where I am.”

Amara: “You were having a nightmare, weren’t you?”

Ryan: “Yeah.”

Amara: “What did you see?”

Ryan: “Nothing true. It was just a nightmare, nothing else. It’ll never come true.”

Amara: “Mhm-hmm.”

Ryan: “You look so good with the bite mark on your neck, love.”

Amara: “Wish I could say the same for you but I don’t have fangs to mark you.”

Ryan: “You don’t need fangs, love. And there might be no bite marks on my neck but my back…I think you’ve painted my back with scratch marks pretty well.”

Amara: “People won’t see it. It’ll be hidden beneath your shirt.”

Ryan: “I can go shirtless and show off these marks if you want, I’d fucking love to do it.”

Amara: “I like the sound of that but I’d like you shirtless when you’re in my room only.”

Ryan: “You know when a werewolf finds his mate they don’t leave the room for a week.”

Amara: “Aww too bad…because we have to leave right now.”

Ryan: “Like hell, I’ll let you leave. An hour or two won’t make a difference.”

Amara: “No, we're leaving.”

Ryan: “I will tie you to this bed if I have to, don’t tempt me.”

Amara: “Hmm. (in the woods)“

In Amara’s head: As we entered the cave all the heads turned towards us. (Vasileios storms off mad). Diavolo informed me about how the scent of a female changes a bit after she gets mated and completes the bond but I kept my scent hidden all these days so they wouldn’t know the difference but the bite mark on my neck tells the whole story. I didn’t let it heal because I wanted to keep it as long as possible. Though fate wouldn’t give me a chance to cherish these moments for long, it can’t stop me from enjoying it any less. No, I didn’t tell Diavolo about my fated death or fate worse than death. I couldn’t bring myself to tell him the whole conversation I had with The Seyah and honestly, I don’t wanna think about how this war is gonna end. I know that each and every member of The Legion will be slaughtered and victory will be ours. Even if death claims me after that, I wouldn’t regret it.

In Ryan’s head: I know these men can’t know about her scent but they can see the mating mark on her neck and that’s enough for me, as long as they know she’s mine and mine only, it’s fine. I know no one will be stupid enough to stand close to her because they know how alpha's behaves when they mark their mates and see other males near her. We go feral and they know better than to provoke me. (in the fields)

Luca: “Don’t do anything stupid, you’ll end up dead.”

Vasileios: “What are you talking about?”

Luca: “I saw how you stormed out of the cave when you saw her with the mating mark. You have a thing for her, don’t you?”

Vasileios: “I…uh…”

Luca: “Save it. Don’t let it cloud your mind and make you do something stupid because Diavolo won’t hesitate to bite your neck off. Alphas are more possessive than us.”

Vasileios: “I don’t like your alpha and he doesn’t deserve her.”

Luca: “What do you mean?”

Vasileios: “He’s a manwhore. I’ve been watching him all these years and heard shitty rumors about him. You want me to believe a man like him can change? He’s a monster.”

Luca: “And Amara isn’t? You know she’s capable of the same things Diavolo is capable of or even worse. Damn, I feel she can be more ruthless than him and you’re aware of that but you don’t hate her.”

Vasileios: “I like every part of her, including her darkness. She hypnotized a bunch of people and made them shoot themselves in front of me but it didn’t make me flinch.”

Luca: “I’m not gonna justify Diavolo’s past but I know what kind of life he lived. When we were kids we were told about the mate bond, Diavolo was told he had no mate because he was different. He saw his parents get murdered right in front of him and he blamed his existence for it. He’s the youngest and strongest alpha out there but no one knew he was broken. Everyone has their own way of dealing with grief and trauma. Amara might be too good for him but it doesn’t matter because Amara chose him, the mating mark is proof enough. I can see the bond they share is anything we’ve ever witnessed. They are two powerful beings, born for each other and there’s no way he’ll jeopardize his relationship again. Nor will he spare someone who will try to get between them.”

Vasileios: “It’s shameful that I have feelings for a mated woman.”

Luca: “No it’s not. Anyone would fall for Amara. No one can escape her charm.”

Vasileios: “You too?”

Luca: “God no. I adore and respect her. Since the moment she came, she felt like a little sister I never had. Not just me but all the Bloodwalker Pack members respect her and we're loyal to our mates even though we haven’t met them yet. (in the cave)”

Gloria: “Oh my God! Is that her?”

Ryan: “Yeah, don’t even think about it.”

Gloria: “Oh come on. You know I can’t help it.”

Ryan: “Gloria I swear if you try to make a move on my mate, I’ll kick your little ass.”

Gloria: “How about I flirt with her and if she doesn’t flirt back, she’s yours.”

Ryan: “She’s already mine and no.”

Gabriele: “Don’t provoke him, little sister. You wouldn’t like the end result. My jaw hurts till this day.”

Gloria: “You’ve tested him already? What did you do?”

Ryan: “He asked her out when I warned him to stay away from her.”

Gabriele: “Oh come on, you guys were avoiding each other like a plague at the time.”

Ryan: “So what?”

Gabriele: “You didn’t have to punch me that hard, jackass. You knew she was your mate at the time didn’t you?”

Ryan: “No!! If I had known I would’ve never pushed her away.”

Amara: “Gloria, right? Gabriele told me about you.”

Gloria: “All good things I hope.”

Amara: “I know you’re a skillful warrior, I’m sure you could be very useful to us. By the way, I just came to inform you guys that the meeting will take place in two hours. Have you guys seen Luca? Where is he?”

Gabriele: “I saw him going outside a few minutes ago.”

Amara: “Luca?”

Luca: “So, how does it feel to be the Luna of our pack?”

Amara: “I honestly don’t know how to feel because I don’t have time to feel anything.”

Luca: “Don’t worry, we’ll do it properly after all of this is over. You’ll officially become our Luna after the ceremony.”

Amara: “We’ll see. I was here to ask you something.”

Luca: “Shoot.”

Amara: “Do you feel her?”

Luca: “Feel who?”

Amara: “Diavolo had told me about your mate and he also told me that you feel everything she feels.”

Luca: “When I’m near The Legion territory, I do feel all her pain and suffering.”

Amara: “Is she alive? Do you feel her now?”

Luca: “The bond is still intact. She’s alive. Why are you asking?”

Amara: “I just wanted to make sure I’m not too late.”

Luca: “Don’t think like that. It was our fate to endure what The Legion had put us through. It wasn’t your fault, we're just grateful you decided to fight for us. Even if they didn’t give me a chance to spend any time with my mate, it wouldn’t be your fault. Promise me we’ll make them pay for everything they’ve done to us.”

Amara: “I promise. (on the fields). Okay…what did I miss?”

Azzurra: “I found my mate.”

Amara: “Oh shit. Is that him?”

Azzurra: “Yeah, but he’s from the Moonstone Pack.”

Amara: “Oh, so you’ll leave our pack?”

Azzurra: “Oh hell no. We’ve already talked about it. He’ll talk to his pack about leaving when this is all over.”

Amara: “I’m happy for you and it seems like you’re not the only one who found their mate. (later on talking to everyone)”

In Amara’s head: I told them about those creatures and my fate to send them back to their world. Although I still don’t know where the gate is or how I’m gonna open it. I have no other option than to trust my instincts and have faith that when the time comes I’ll figure it all out and I won’t fail. A few questions that still bother me. If Craven had these creatures for a long time then why didn’t he go ahead and conquer the world? He could rule this world with those creatures by his side but something stopped him. Maybe he had different plans all along. Maybe his priority was to eliminate me first. There’s no way I’ll let those creatures roam freely in this world, they all need to go. Craven and all The Legion members must die.

Amara: “Alpha Dylan I want you to join Alpha Argus and Alpha Zain with your warriors. Circe will teleport you all to the tunnel near the castle and that tunnel will lead you to the backside of the castle. Once we all reach there, I’ll put a spell on that place so that way no Legion members could flee but it’ll wear off after a while. Once the premise is clear, after getting rid of their army your first priority would be saving the people who could still be saved. Don’t ignore your instincts if you find something or someone feels off, run the opposite direction and save yourself. Remember, you can’t kill those creatures but they can easily kill you so leave them to me. Just save the prisoners. Diavolo’s spies are still spreading the rumors among the people that they’ve seen our army coming toward The Legion territory as we speak.”

Alpha Xandar: “Wait, we're gonna tell them that we’re gonna attack? I thought the element of surprise will be our biggest weapon in this war?”

Amara: “I want all of them to be prepared, waiting for us…that’ll be our biggest advantage. I know it sounds stupid but have faith. I know what I’m doing.”

Alpha Xandar: “To a world where The Legion don’t exist or to martyrdom. (in the cave)”

Amara: “Is everything clear?”

Aria: “What am I supposed to do? You’re giving everyone their task, but not me.”

Amara: “Because you’re not coming. I want you to stay here with the rest of the pack.”

Aria: “Come on, don’t do me like that. You know I’m the fastest on the pack, it’s not like I can’t fight or anything. Why are you asking me to stay? I can’t sit here sitting on my ass when all of you are out there risking your lives.”

Amara: “You have to, I’m afraid.”

Aria: “No, I can’t accept it. Diavolo, say something. I’m coming with you and no one can stop me. Not even you, Amara.”

Amara: “Try to understand.”

Aria: “No, there’s nothing to understand! Why the hell don’t you want me there?”

Amara: “Because you’re pregnant.”

Aria: “What? No I’m not. My wolf would’ve told me if I was.”

Ryan: “Love, she can’t be. Our wolves would’ve detected it if her scent had changed.”

Amara: “Wait two more days and you all will know. Your body has started producing hcg, It’ll become detectable soon. But this is not the only reason I wanted you to stay here. Silvia’s herb has caused more damage to you than you realize. You need to be very careful in your first trimester. I didn’t wanna reveal it like this. I know you guys have been trying. It would’ve been devastating if you lost it without realizing it.”

Aria: “I understand. Thank you for telling me. I need some air.”

Walter: “I’m gonna go talk to her.”

Amara: “Wait, let me.”

Walter: “Okay. (in the fields)”

Amara: “Are you okay?”

Aria: “I don’t know how to feel. I don’t know how you know about my pregnancy but you’re right. We’ve been trying and I almost lost hope. I’m happy, I really am but…”

Amara: “But?”

Aria: “But I wanted to help in this war. I wanted to fight alongside all of you.”

Amara: “I know you’re brave like the rest of us but this miracle needs you more.”

Aria: “What would you have done if you were in my place? I didn’t mean it like that.”

Amara: “You know?”

Aria: “Yeah. I had asked Diavolo what things he had said to you to hurt you that bad and he told me. I’m really sorry.”

Amara: “There’s nothing to be sorry for. It doesn’t affect me, I don’t focus on my flaws or the things I can’t have. It’s not in my nature. Since you asked me what I would’ve done if I was in your shoes, my answer would be, I’d protect my baby at all cost. I’d postpone this war or maybe start a life where no one could find me. I would’ve been selfish to choose my baby over everything.”

Aria: “Thank you for being honest and you’re right. It’s my responsibility to protect my baby from harm’s way. I’ll stay.”

Amara: “Don’t worry, I’ll make sure Walter comes back to you and his children.”

Aria: “Thank you.”

Amara: “Now go talk to him, he’s waiting.”

In Amara’s head: She’s the last person I wanna deal with.

Lucia: “You shouldn’t have completed the mate bond.”

Amara: “And who are you to tell me what I shouldn’t do?”

Lucia: “I’m just thinking about Ryan, he’s like a son to me. You’re not even a werewolf, you don’t even belong here.”

Amara: “Didn't you say this same shit to Ryan’s mother? I know she was a vampire.”

Lucia: “Keep her out of this conversation. She was my best friend. Don’t even compare yourself to her. You’re nothing compared to her. You can’t even give Ryan an heir. I don’t understand how you think it’s a good idea to come back into his life.”

Amara: “Was that supposed to hurt my feelings, Lucia? Your precious daughter told you about my infertility. Sorry to break it to you but these words aren’t gonna have any effect on me. I didn’t want to come back but I did because of the way he grovel. He loves me.”

Lucia: “You’re gonna deprive him of the happiness of becoming a father because you’re being so selfish?”

Amara: “There are so many children out there who are orphans and need a family. Don’t worry, Diavolo won’t be deprived of anything.”

Lucia: “They wouldn’t be anyone like his own blood.”

Amara: “Yet here you are spitting venom for the daughter who wasn’t your blood, who didn’t even consider you her mother. That’s what this is all about, right? You blame me for her betrayal? Mother love has blinded you, Lucia.”

Lucia: “If it wasn’t for you and your cursed powers, Silvia would’ve been here with me.”

Amara: “She had been deceiving you all before I came into your lives and you think I’m responsible? If anything, you should be grateful I showed all of you what that snake was doing all these years. Poisoning you all. Your daughter-in-law, your son almost lost Rico because of her yet you have the audacity to defend her and treat me like I’m the one who’s bad. Well, I’m not bad. I’m evil. This is why I wouldn’t even blink before killing you. You’re lucky you’re something to Ryan, that’s why I’m not cutting your throat right now. Don’t push your luck next time, Lucia. You’re nothing to me, keep that in mind and talk accordingly because I’ll have no issue ripping off that tongue of yours. If you’ll excuse me I have important things to discuss with important people. And as you know, at midnight we’re leaving for war. And since you have so much problem with me, why don’t you sit down and pray to your God that I never return. Maybe your prayer will be answered, you never know. (The Legion Territory)”

Craven: “You’re delicious, mortal. (Margot grunts in pain). Did you hear that? Your daughter is willingly coming here with her useless army to defeat me. Does she even know what’s awaiting her? What do you say, mortal? What can she do to save you two, her parents? Do you guys even mean anything to her or not? If not then I should just kill you right here, shouldn’t I?”
